Actually, it the standalone Flash player causing it, at least on a PPC Mac and simiar machines. I get the same behavior on my old bedroom Mac and a Linux based Power machine, while the Intel machine(s), having the latest standalone player, have no problems. This is due to Adobe's lack of programming chops in anything other than Wintel- and not being all that hot even there if their zero day exploit record and bug list history has anything to say.
Try shooting for Flash version 10, unless you need something in version 11 (which is doubtful). That has the widest support. Or not. Your decision.
