I'd try it out before knocking it. It might be interesting.

And I love the 'fricken oink' on the warthog-like enemy. xD Made me laugh.

So far, the concept stuff looks great. ^.^ Can't wait to see the actual game.

Just thought the tribe might like to know, thanks to Hnyarly the code and structure have been drastically cleaned up...
...and FIXED THE NEXT BUTTON!!!
hooraaaaaaaaaaay Nyar!!

ill run build2 off and update with it once the book intro is done. also have Iya's head partially built. having all kinds of fun with that, but its coming together.

doubt i could have hammered together this kind of coding and quality of code without Nyar. :D

also, the concerns about the grapple button: when i write grapple i dont mean 'grab on and throw' or the like... :3 its not to be used TOO lightly. there are stat consequences to most actions. probably not noticeable at first though: for instance Iya will gain a damage increase each time she kills something in combat. its only a 0.1 increase, but it IS cumulative throughout the game, so a lot of combat kills means dishing out a lot more hurt later on.
anyway, it wont initiate an uninterpretable action unless the grapple connects. i just didnt scribble the key release into the flowchart.
...on a final note on that count: THANK YOU ALL! this time it was just me being lazy writing up the control flow, but any and all concerns are important in case next time i really AM doing something stupid. XD

one last detail: Iya & Rowr will NOT be linear if i can help it. once finished, the player should be able to take different routes through the world segments that will result in different starting points in the next region (example: if you go straight up into the foothills map you go over the mountains, but if you happen to get into the quarry you can go through underground tunnels beneath the mountains and come down on the other side into a completely different region).

Very nice flowchart! Looks like one of mine hahaha!

Don't forget to take into account BEING hit as well as hitting; as you need to decide where to interrupt the flow and break for the damage animation and if it should dump back to idle or another state (the difference between taking damage while on the ladder and falling to the ground (idle) or remaining on the ladder (unique damage animation)).

being hit is on the (less detailed) page two of the flowchart. 'involuntary actions'. but good point... hadnt thought about ladder injuries... =o_o=

You said you fixed the 'Next' button, but it acted the same way as before for me: Multiple presses to go to the next page. Or did you not update the front page animation yet?

I'll go check again, and I'll edit this if I missed it, but if I don't, then it's not fixed.

Edit: It's not fixed for me. And the reason I edited that in is because... I found another glitch.

If you press 'next' fast enough, or enough times after the writing disappears altogether, you'll get mulitples of the same song playing at once.

Yes, the next button was thoroughly screwed up, but i have NOT yet updated the main page. im trying to get the intros book section done first and i keep getting distracted by life and working on Iya herself. XD
when i update the main file i will update the thread title as well noting update date.

the text in the opening overlays the previous page, making it impossible to read, also the text looks like it was drawn in ms paint, so its incredibly hard to read anyway.

Question: Don't the gnome, the assassincreed-like guy and the kopesh weapon looks a little... modern for Iya's time?

Just for keep the prehistoric atmosphere :o

okay, as i've noted a couple times, the intro text is still under construction and repair. as for the drawing, it's SUPPOSED to be Iya's handwriting, so yes, it is bad on purpose.

zzcl Wrote:Question: Don't the gnome, the assassincreed-like guy and the kopesh weapon looks a little... modern for Iya's time?

the gnome is just a fae representation. IF i use them it will be because theres a door to faerie in the area. the apprentice wizard guy and the kopesh are part of a larger, longer, deeper story lurking in the background of my head, and i am seriously NOT sticking to historical accuracy or there wouldnt be dinosaurs around.
if it eases your mind, the Kopesh migrated to a particular area from elsewhere. its not something you would find normally on the continent Iya is from.

there are 2 reasons i do odd things. either i have a plan or intricate backstory behind it, or im totally screwing something up and havent noticed yet. XD
glad to see people are interested enough to help me keep my head on straight.
i mean as straight as it ever gets. *kinked*

Yes, the page transition is smooth now.

Also, the scratched out page legitimately made me laugh aloud, and the rest of this makes me "D'AAWWWWW" way too hard.

Lookin' forward to dat juicy Monster ra ... surprise sex.

Great concept!

I think the storybook could use a little more polish haha, unless it's meant to look that sketchy.

Look at some of the poorly drawn shit you can come across on some sites before you spout such absolutely irredeemable motherfucking bloody nonsense.

The story does look nice though.

... I never thought I'd see the day when someone would agree with me about this on a Hentai site. xD

I especially agree about there not being enough.

Fuck you over sized breast. Personally i don't care if the breast are two small. Smaller are better than bigger.
