Yeah, he looks black in the game. It might just be the low quality of the Wii at work (even though the game looks pretty amazing even for today's standards) here.

I use Mario Wiki all the time now. It's nice to freshen up, show evidence or even learn new stuff! Thanks Mario Wiki!

Daisy was born! Model so far! (Please ignore missing parts, like her pussy, and part of sling bikini on her butt). Each pose is out of scale in regard to each other!
For me, the poses are decent and can be put in the game right away. But I dont have time for that (maybe sunday), and Luftmallow might want to do some adjustments yet.

EDIT: Fixed a bit more the eye placement and darker mouth (answering for posts below it until Quiz mentioning he had no mouth.
EDIT: Version 3 in further posts below.

It's the face basically. I said Daisy doesn't wear lipstick, but now she has no mouth. Her eyes are also a bit too big and open (You can see she has this vacant expression in her face, as if she isn't there mentally). Faces are always extremely difficult to draw right and I got this sneaking suspicion Luftmallow has had more trouble with the face in the past.

So this can still use some work, but then again, so can Peach.

2. It rendered me 'locked up' for an hour to just adjust eyes, expression in general, mouth and her chin.
3. As for her eyes, it is a almost 100% reproduction of Daisy (I've draw with her original pic in the side). I also dont know why her eyes are stil not perfect. BTW, why creating a total replica if we can have our version while it being at least decent? Some loved that version too ;)

Me and Luftmallow can improve slowly over time. The next task should be fiddling more with her eyes, front hair and maybe some cheeks and its done.

Those are things that only get right when designers get TOTAL inspiration. I tried to even draw over the original, but I dont know whatever reason for it to be different. Maybe its require a complete pixel alignment and shadowing, because original pictures are drawn with gradients. Gradients slow the game down and create havoc when connecting body parts (e.g. the under line of the head will be darker but the neck will be lighter due to gradient orientation.

For some reason I think version 2 looks best. Her eyes may not big as big and ''innocent'' looking but they look more composite (soulful).

Updates to the version 1.9.8. Go check the changes ;)
Version 1.9.9 will only be released when I have Worldmap4, Map 4-1 and the inner entrance of Boggy Tree (placeholder for 4-4).

And I'm a bit upset because Mario, Blargh and Soloid are missing (other people who helped, too). They're important for the project. We would be in world 5 if the new Peach Castle was complete, as well as scenes for new enemies like pokeys, cobrats and piranha plants, and bug testers acting. I just dont want to do their work. I will be waiting for them as a way to respect their work and presence.

As I've said, Luftmallow will still check her. Then I'll add her as a playable character and I'll test scenes (to see if she's aligned with the scenes), then I still have to create all eye styles (angry, lidded, crossed...) then I will create her as a NPC. Her code as NPC will be different. Each clothing part can be removed, and she might have lingerie too. This NPC WONT have possiblities to wear another clothing type (e.g. Daisy wearing Peach dress). I might create a trick for this, like putting clothing on her manually, but Daisy will use her default clothing, fully clothed, partially clothed or naked.
All of these take time. Then, later, with more levels of 4-1, I'll add the lesbian scene. Before that, I can add her in the palace of world2, to talk with Peach.

Thanks. As for side pose, that IS a tough one, but Peach side pose' eye is not that good, too.
I'm creating aliens, so its fine! Its a limitation, actually. And I dont want to create an special complex eye only for that.
Of course we can struggle our minds a bit and see that their side pose is not bad. But yes, it can be better, the day inspiration comes again.

EDIT: I did yet another improvement to her eye in Version 3, check it out.

I am working on doing various layers to her suit, with what I have in mind: breasts, belly (lower half), head, arms, and legs. Thing is I'm not certain on what to do with her legs in what kind of clothes should I used, like the regular stockings or go with a pantyhose look. Whatever works, I'll find something. It'll take me some time and you'll know about it. And remember I'm using Photoshop and a still image of a completed girl (the old version of Daisy), so that's also something to take into consideration.

Ivan said something about potentially buying a carrot from Charlieton, so that could be it. I'm not sure if we can find it in the levels, though.

Since the topic of a bunny costume has come up again, I might as well post something I found while working on Daisy. I had found a file amongst all my old works when I stumbled across an abandoned clothing idea. It's from when I was working on Blargh's version, so everything was made with that in mind. Even if there's not much to use at least here is something you can probably get some concepts from this.
EDIT: The hair had the mysterious ability of killing the thread. It's gone now. I'm still the Luft Reaper.

Congratulations!! We unlocked the thread.
And Renara said the fault was his code, not your SWF. The problem is that some rare SWF gets saved with more than , say, 16 bits of header (just an example). The fetching code (in order to check SWF and put in the forum) only takes 16. Yours might be 18. When I changed the hair, or removed it, this header size became compatible again (back to 16 or less).

So FORGET ALL gossips and guessings. The real cause WAS NOT YOUR FILE.
Case dismissed.

Now I have work to do.
Back to duties and priorities. ;)

I can't say the same about hers and Peach's front view, which has always bothered me with her proportionnally too narrow bust/chest (ie from the front, she doesn't really have the traditional hourglass figure, but more the pear one) that looks like she got caught by Photoshop's Liquify/pucker tool, and really clashes with her side views, especially when the character has already eaten a shroom or two... but i'm guessing reworking that so late in the game would be a headache, and would mean reworking the clothes too, so nevermind
