A little gross for my taste, but very close to the style the original author of Red was trying to portray if not better. Let me see if I can trace it in Illustrator. Are those vectored already, btw?

If you make it look less "scat"-like, then I imagine it'd be an improvement IMO.

to answer both posts, they are not vectored, and idk, the old models looked pretty gross, so i figured that was the theme, if its overboard, then i guess i can make something a bit more tame. what do you mean scat like though? I'm willing to take constructive criticism if needed so please dont be scared ;-)

Well I'm fond of the direction this is going.
The original game had a lot of corpses, fat slimey pigmen, and rape. That's what I'd like in a new project, if this really does take off.

The futa pig thing is good, but I think the majority of monsters should be mostly male, with female things being grotesque and rare, or pretty and raped. In Red, the female pig monster was a unique character, unlike the males which come in large numbers.
Just my opinion, really. I would love to be some disgusting pigman's rape-toy, not a female one's though. Since I've got nothing to contribute besides ideas, or maybe writing, don't feel limited by my tastes.

As for the elf, I like the design. I would think of something more fair-skinned with pristine features when I think of elves, myself. So less saggy on the breasts, straighter posture, etc. The pigmen rape and eat the elves for a reason, yeah?

ah yes! I just sorta drew her not as a regular, but just a design i thought mighta been grotesque. Either way, i can always make the basic male trolls/pigs/whatever. I'll draw more if this is gonna be a thing,

I certainly hope it's a thing. I'd love my some grotesque pornography. Throw in some cannibalism and it's sure to be game of the year.

minor update in my .swf post. chick it out!!!! I agree with the others. Red, needs to be fair and beautiful, however, this can be a body type for those that like them thick. I'll go ahead and trace her next. :)

oh dont trace her, it was experimental! or make her i guess maybe a minor character in the bg or something. I'll make a new red, but again, I'll only do this if people are on board for this : DDD

I'd be really interested in knowing how far into "grotesque" this is going to go. Just to know what I can expect, and what not to get my hopes up for.

If it's to be very much like the Red project, then there would be
- "Gross" monsters like the fat, slimy pig men with loose hairs, zits, etc. They'd be more alike to actual "monsters" rather than just rape-beasts.
- Carcasses where aesthetically appropriate
- Minor acts of cannibalism like one monster eating part of a different one.
- Hard rape
- Slavery

Are these in mind for this new project? What more will be in it?
And do you have an idea of mechanics in mind? Run-or-rape platformer seems very popular, though the original Red was more point-and-click style. You could do an action-platformer, but I think the idea of the monsters being too strong to fight is better.

If you want, I can toss around ideas aplenty. Ideas and writing are about as much as I'm capable of. I do want this to happen, though, so I want to help as I can, if I can.

Well, one thing is for sure, I can't program for shit, at least not yet. If someone is willing to do the programming and somewhat commit to it then the mechanics will be up to them, I was fine with how trogdor did it. Content wise, im cool with all those except im not huge on rape. I know that sounds weird considering, but part of what i like is that the girl is kinda a tsundere about it all but she kinda likes it anyhow even if she doesnt admit it, its like this unspoken pleasure she has. regardless im willing to draw just about any of that stuff so if we have a promising engine to work with and some animation then i'll draw for it if thats what needs to be done. Also, futa is good too.

On the topic of the engine and mechanics, I think point and click works well. Don't need a physics engine, don't need to fiddle with wonky collision boxes, and the line between frustrating and enjoyably challenging is much clearer than a platformer.
Point and click also doesn't feel like you have as much control in the game as platformers. You aren't going to run and jump around. In the case of a game where you're a weak elf surrounded by massive, stupid, feral-minded monsters, having control doesn't seem right. You're weak, you're using mind over body. Although, your body will be thoroughly used of course - just by other people rather than yourself.

Maybe I'm thinking too hard about how to design a pornographic game. This isn't Bioshock Infinite or some artsy shameful excuse for a game. If my opinion of meaning and story paired with mechanics is misfitting, I'll lay off on it.

Not at all, it is true that penises are dominating organs, but trust me, there are plenty of hentai material where dicks are often raped. It doesn't take much for imagination :3

Well in all honesty, the engine I have is built more for adventure than action, anyways. All it needs is art. Under the hood, it's real complex, but externally, it's as easy as drag and drop. Lemme know if you're interested in the engine I have.

I'll be glad to take up coding. I was kinda hoping someone else would trace/color the drawings, anyways.
As for the project's direction, I'm honestly ok with grotesque and brutal, but the heroine must be righteous and pure in stark contrast to the environments. I probably won't be taking feedback from the community, though. Don't let this offend you all, but you're very demanding at times. I'd feel much more comfortable responding to the team and the direction they want to go, mainly because we are all aware of our capabilities.

And for the story, one thing I kinda liked about the original Red was that it showed more of like a flashback of events leading to the current predicament. I was thinking this a genius idea to drive the story. Red comes back to the village after a gathering trip to find the place in fiery ruins. Each room tells a story of the horrid events that occur all the way up to the boss which will be live and between Red and the Leader of Orcs or whatever they are. If we get at least one chapter done, we'll have all the tools and organization to think about expanding the story.

Mechanics-wise, I definitely want to develop tools for:
-Animators: zooming panning, automating rule of thirds, filters, and other things of such tomfoolery.
-Artists: map editing, character building, wardrobe editing, and just an easy way to add content.
-Coders: map interactives and UI elements
-Sound Editors: I'm not too good in this dept. but I'd like to establish a library of high quality sounds.

So first and foremost, I see a lot of support and I really think we can do this. We've got a great artist that works fast (if anything, lower detail, it's much easier to animate fast work). I already have a capable engine. And I'm totally digging this shit. So fuck it, guys, let's make Red scream!!
