Not necessarily... I have seen games go multiple months without updates before, and they still finished eventually. I prefer to think that the creator is taking more time to add to the game instead of posting to their thread.

There is not a coincidence that most of the great minds of mankinds history came up with their ideas and theories at random occasions and at locations non-related to their work. A pause is a great way to achieve greater success at a later time.

A pause, yes, but to have not logged in for a month and not made a post in five months is a bad sign. Projects get dumped all the time, even the good ones; we just have to hope something else will take its place.

I am beginning to agree with you. The amount of non-productivity contained within this thread speaks of dumping and abandonment of un-realized proportions. (my way of saying this project is as doomed as a fox without legs in fox-hunting season, which by the way is pretty darn doomed).

Yet here we witness the carrion and nay-sayers flock around a project and doom it into obscurity, forever more reminding people why, when even in success, they wouldn't want to make a project but for themselves and no one else.

Well, I had a more positive approach at first, but as time went by and nothing happened I just stated that it would seem that this project is dead. I myself looked forward to see something happen with this game, but as someone said earlier, the dev haven't even been online for a month, this is of course not a clear evidence that the project is dead. I am not the real doom-prophet here, I leave that to redunit here. What I am saying here is that it could lie some truth in what red is saying. XD

Didn't you guys ever watch 'Bambi' as a kid?

I judge yee. @Valpas, the project is only as dead as people willing to let it die. If you care, you could always pick up coding and animation and run with it =).

I sincerely wish I could, but I have literally no abilities when It comes to coding and animation... I guess my presence on this forum is more of a moral support to those who needs it! XD

So if people aren't willing to learn the programming (since like any other walk of life, abilities are earned not just given) then they don't really have to right to say things like "eh another project dead, eh I knew this would happen." Sometimes it takes a little more than .... moral support... to keep games rolling.

That's assuming the chick would consent to having her characters taken over by some other artist in the first place, (though perhaps posting here implies such a consent?)

I don't know, the legalities ain't my particular concern, and there are probably no teeth whatsoever behind them anyway.

Also, are you suggesting that a person's "right" to comment on the status of a possibly abandoned project depends somehow on - or is related at all to - an ability to program?

I second that!

Man, please dont give up this game. If I had more time, I would like to start with some code in this game for you. I can make a working level, isometric-type, so she can walk up/down/left/right, or a platform like game (left/right). I really prefer the first, so you can have more freedom in a level. Then I would tell you the basics or populating new levels (using foreground, background, ground and other layers), and other technical info. So you can think about any interactions that we can have in the future. But I work with AS2. I would help with art too, provided I have the original sketches, in order to vectorize them, but I think its better a more dedicated artist for that.
(I say 'would' because I have little time recently, but I can see if I find some time).

Good luck with this project!

It just irks me to no end when you have people that say "make a game make a game make a game make a game, I would help you but I can't I am not going to help you because I don't want to learn" etc. Then they turn around and say "oh pity, another project died, surprised." Happens a lot more than you would think, and demotivates the hell out of people working on games. I would know, been the victim of this myself on this forum.

I would love to learn, but I am poorer then a drunk priest. I have so many ideas and scenarios I really want to see made into an H-game, most relate to my fetishes, but I would really love to do something like this.
