Ivan-Aedler Wrote:VintageBass Wrote:That tends to follow a bit of a pattern with how sequels tend to sell more than the original game. It's not true for all series, but there is a pattern. Plus they are starting to do that with the latest for the 3DS, I guess it's more for the console releases.
Yes, I can suppose people like us wait for a given number ('new sequel') being better, with new adventures, then sometimes we got deceived due to the lack of novelties, less gameplay, both, or worse.
... And you don't like novelty? Plus having a certain type of gimmick could result in going either direction. It's all about the execution.
Ivan-Aedler Wrote:VintageBass Wrote:Because X is a different version of Mega Man. And sometimes having a simple title works. Again, two of my successful stories have the most basic titles, literally Series Name: A (XXX) Story. It's basically what you're getting on the tin. You just have to take it at face value that it's going to be good.
Well I just try to avoid using 'Mario 2, 3, 4, 5, 6....' because they dont say much whats inside. A small name like: "Zelda: A link to the past" is more descriptive.
Having a colorful subtitle doesn't make a game good. It's easier to have the title and then go with the number for the sequel, just to say "oh, this is the such-and-such game in the series." Easy to remember surely. Even you don't like it, I can still remember what each game are like. Like 2 has different zones that have a particular theme, like being cowboys, pirates and wizards, while 3 is about being stuck in a toybox and having to become the superstar to win the Millienum Star, and 8 has the candy power-ups, a carnival theme and a train level. The same goes for the original Super Mario games, with how different those are in terms of how they look despite being numbered sequels.
Ivan-Aedler Wrote:VintageBass Wrote:No that works on springs, tension. It is that build up that, upon release, causes gears to move and then allowing the device to move. A paddle boat does not work on tension because if it does, then it'll take forever to get across the ocean. If it's using the same steam engine as the train, sure I can take that. And that looks awkward having to wind up that thing...
Hmmmmm yes, that 'toy like' appendage is not ....realistic enough. Although her kingdom has some fantasy inside, like the aforementioned Fantasia's genesis game.
That appendage is called a key. And Fantasia game? *thinks about it* Oh, you mean that platformer that has Mickey from the Sorcerer's Apprentice going around to the other set pieces with a horrible background noise playing, terrible platforming... yeah gonna stop there.
Ivan-Aedler Wrote:VintageBass Wrote:But the lamp is a part of the Arabian Nights stories, even used in that period of time. Sure it's not like the modern day lamp, but they call it a lamp. And I could argue that cars and planes are fantasy as well... technically more science-fiction, but it could work as fantasy, in the loosest sense of the word.
Yes, the looooosest sense.....
Fiction. Where our imagination becomes reality.
Ivan-Aedler Wrote:(Hm...... a shark costume....nice ide......)
Yeah no. I rather want my Bee costume before a shark costume, because with a Bee there's more practical stuff you can do with that than with a shark. Plus you already have the Frog power-up so why make another swimming based power-up?
someone_unkown Wrote:A lot of tension here......... why is that?
Because things don't translate well. And you probably took the wrong definition I was using for tension.
LastShadow Wrote:No need to worry about adding things modern in city Delfino. It is a tourist site, it is normal to have more modern things for tourists. It's what happens to most of Cuba where such tourists could only use mobiles phones.
That is true. It is a tourist site, they don't have to follow the logic of the rest of the world, even though it was mentioned that the airport won't be shown. That could make the cruising business boom, even though Peach is going to travel there by cannon. A different kind of boom, right? But yeah, Delfino doesn't have to look medieval just to please the taste of one man. There are those plans for a casino, a modern thing. It really seems troubling that we have to abide to these restraints, as it really does limit a lot of stuff to use.
MPLDAM9919 Wrote:That's a very bad idea and a bad business move. The problem is the Wii U lacked games. Mario Kart 8 and Smash 4 will change all that. And the Wii U's a great system. It would help Nintendo if they made new IPs.
And it's not the games. It's the advertisement. Seriously, when was the last time you saw adverts for the Wii U? Not only are there lack of commercials for the consumer, but third-party interest as well. It's not just Nintendo that has to make new IPs, it's companies like EA, Ubisoft and the rest that need to jump on board to make games. Heck, even reaching to indie developers could help out a lot as well. And as I said if Nintendo also keeps with its anti-YouTube policy even after the release of MK8 and Smash, it's definitely not likely people are going to buy the system because a company refuses to promote their product.

What's a paladin?
Kidding aside, it's an intellectual property. An idea owned by a company.
Elerneron Wrote:Any chance of making an option to turn Peach slutty right away in the settings? I prefer a slutty girl, and getting her laid 80 times gets a bit tedious since save games don't transfer between versions.
As if it wasn't tedious enough trying to unlock ALL of the sex scenes, like the Toads in the castle. Personally I don't mind having a girl who's open-minded towards sex and has the experience to back it up, which is why I go for Daisy (plus being my favorite character), that does sound more like Free Mode than anything.
Elerneron Wrote:I don't understand people's obsession with virginal girls . . . more work than reward there. Give me an experienced woman any day of the week . . . and five times on Sunday!
Because some men like the idea of being allow to bring a girl into womanhood and giving her the first experience?
Elerneron Wrote:Like what is this obsession most men have with big boobs?! Small breasts age better.
I could agree with that. The biggest I'll go is D, because it's not like breasts aren't immune to gravity and behave much like balloons, right?

Surf shop? O_O when did I make that?
Yesterday. For New Delfino.
No Biles didn't make that. That would be Digfree.
