Anybody care to teach a sort of noob?

Postby Ynsano » Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:52 pm

Hello people, I'm a Rpg Player, played for almost 15 years now, I'm curious what is the system you use, how you play and etc, I've never done this in a forum... just on paper and software designed for online play (with dice roils, chat and etc..).

[Update] Looking for a GM to see if i like it

Just look at the actual RPs that are being done currently, keep note of the time between responses though, these things take days.

As littlemankitten stated, just check what the RPs are currently doing. We don't have one set system which we use for all RPs, I make my own systems for all RPs I host, by example. Usually in group RPs, you post once per DM post rotation. So the DM posts once, then everyone posts once, then the DM posts, rinse and repeat. But the dynamics differ wildly from game to game.

I'd suggest hitting up some people for some private RPs first, if anything just so you can get yourself familiarized with forum RPing. Even in 1v1s, you'll find that is a totally different dynamic RPing with someone who posts large posts every two or three days and someone who makes several posts every thirty minutes. Feel out the waves, figure out what clicks with you and try to browse more stuff like it.

It's about what I can recommend, really.
