Nations of Terra (ancient fantasy roleplay (on hiatus))

Postby Randomizer4 » Tue Oct 18, 2016 12:10 am

Hello and welcome dear roleplayers,

The topic that has been chosen by popular demand is ancient fantasy, a choice I am very happy with! I will be working on a ruler and nation character sheet for you guys to fill in!

Post a message if you're interested and wanna join! :) Also I'm curious what nation everyone wants to play as

Any advice would be great as well!

Nations in Terra

Intro:
Because no nation exists in a vacuum it will be very hard to allow the players to determine everything about their nation. For balancing’s sake we will also be using Nation Points to determine the strength of your nation. Of course the personality of your ruler will be very important too in determining the goals of your nation. And don’t be surprised if something bad will happen…

Lore:
(This’ll be a bit short for now, but will be touched upon further when the world gets populated by people)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Terra is the name of our beloved world, continents surrounded by the great World-Ocean and the world around which the heavenly firmament turns. The Gods have always watched over it since they drove the ancient titans from the world and into the Underworld. They have allowed Man and Unman to flourish under their gaze, sometimes helping, sometimes hindering them in their efforts to shape Terra. But even the almighty Gods couldn’t foresee that, which was about to happen…

The Divine Pantheon:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(These are the Hellenic names, they may be known by slightly different names to others)

Kira-Sister of Pantos, ruler of the Underworld and protector of the Kronos-Gate.

I'm torn between voting for Roman Empire or ancient Egypt... hm
If it takes me two weeks or more to respond to a RP without prior notice, send me a PM. It's more likely I've missed the last post, forgot or got distracted and need a little reminder rather than deciding to drop the game without warning.

Been thinking a lot about how to do the mechanics for something like this. And I'm figuring no one likes precise maths and stuff. So do people think it's bad if I just throw most of the hard numbers out of the window?
