A World Apart OOC

As the title states, this the OOC thread for the collaboration RP between DemonsLust and myself. The reason I'm starting an OOC thread for it is because you or may not notice that the thread topic states 'and guests'. Those guests would be, pending on approval, yourselves if you wish to get involved. Two minds coming up with ideas is good but I know that there are times when I've read RPs and thought, idly, to myself "I wonder what they'd do if X happened?" and that is why this thread is here. Though the 'main' story arc is not able to be altered directly by a 'guest' you can however help shape and develop our characters by helping with 'random' encounters Of course that's on a permission basis. Demon and I have yet to work out how we'll do that but we'll most likely draw up a few requirements by the time we get into the main part of the story where the random encounters can happen.

This seems like a pretty interesting idea, my interest is always piqued by unique concepts such as this. I'll keep an eye on the RP and see how it develops. If it reaches a point where this "guest" thing becomes applicable and I'm still interested I'll return here with suggestions and such.

The rules for guest requests!

Guests must be approved by both of us before posting in the IC thread.

Requests will take the form of a CS with minor info, such as gender of guest character, or main characters if there are more than one (no need having nameless minion on there or slave who's only mentioned once). In place of the bio however that is where a brief overview will go of what the guest desires to do. We need to get a rough idea of what the guest is wanting to do but don't want the details.(See below for an example). I'm happy to work with a person to help them if their idea doesn't fit well with the setting.

The guest should have read some posts back before posting a request to know what is happening at that moment however they will be played in order of approval or, given the situation, some may be moved forwards or back. An example being if the characters are running low on supplies and a guest wanted to play a corrupt and unscrupulous merchant Sarah and Saelusia interact with then DemonsLust and I may decide have them run theirs since it would make for a better story than encountering said merchant when they don't need anything.

That although small would be accepted, we know that Mark is male and he's a corrupt merchant but we don't know in what way is he corrupt, does he trade for sexual favors? Does he over price? Are his goods of unusable quality and made to look shiny? Of course that example was for a simple request, if your idea is more complex then we will need more from you.

SKILLS: Intelligent and resourceful; able to make items out of almost any relevant materials (Can't make a a metal sword with just anything, obviously, she'd need the correct equipment and materials.), good with standard animals, flexible, fast, practical and pragmatic.

Bio: Saelusia was the child of her village's artificer, growing up around mechanical constructs, which lead to her building her first friend. The mechanical dragon has had several upgrades since then but her father always made her go play outside, the nerve! So she went into the woods, protected by Chompy, to build more friends in secret. Her imagination drove her to build monsters as the villagers called them when they found her there in the clearing. Over the years she hunted the strange creatures that threatened her village using her fabrications and invention The Arcane Repeat Caster Rifle, or Arc Rifle for short, capable of delivering eldritch energy over the same distance as a longbow or crossbow, without need to adjust for the wind. She was trained in archery but... Who wants arrows when you can shoot magic? One day, however, she went to rid the ruins near by of the critters nesting there however only Chompy would return to the village carrying her beloved hat in it's jaw before collapsing. The metal beast, once repaired went back to the ruins to wait for it's maker. Sealusia's father followed the dragon the first time but just found nothing, the ruin was empty of anything living other than themself.

She obviously prefers her rifle but in a world without magic it won't work, her animatronic dragon is trapped outside of the rift. So she'd use a long bow at range, if/when hen gets her hands on one and her rapier in close combat.

BIO: Sarah had been brought up on a ranch a before moving to the suburban/city area in which she lives now. She's always been good with animals due to her upbringing and has managed to learn a few things that have help her adjust from ranch life. Given how she was raised, she's not as laid back as most would think and likes to enjoy her youth, get into trouble, and just as easily get out of it.

Setting/World Overview:

A World Apart is a Role-Play set in a world which is home to mythical beast and beings of all kinds and from all stories and cultures; trolls, ogres, giants, goblin, krakens, hydras, chimeras and so many others. Whether it be a beast or monster or is considered a myth or legend it can be found in Karasopha.

The beasts in this world can be captured and tamed or bred and reared on farms for work, leisure, transport or combat, though the latter is rare an frowned upon despite it still coming up now and then.

Within this world is a a small amount of magic and very few are those that can use it but even then only for the healing of others.
