Fallout: Junkyard Junction

Thank you for moving this to the OOC section, I'm unfamiliar with teh rulz here.

A wild Dungeon Master has appeared!
| I'm a recent arrival from LL, and am very fond of the work you all have done here. This is my first time DMing, but absolutely not my first time writing or coming up with interesting scenarios for various characters. I'm actually gonna be putting up some of my writing work later in the Creative Corner, I should hope.
This is a story of up to six OC's, trying to make their way in the new largest colony after the bombs fell: Junkyard Junction. Being the largest city in New America, Junkyard Junction has it's fair share of intrigue, whether political, corporate, mercantile, or, um... red light style.
| Be warned, however, that most established does not mean most civilized. You never know what you'll find behind that door, or under that grating. more population means more potential hazards, and that's not even counting the old crazy robots that occasionally attack from the north, or the creatures down deep below the earth. mysterious things, they are, and they seem to have acquired a certain... taste for humans.
| But it's not just humans that live under the rule of Scrapmaster Sledge here in Junkyard Junction. Ghouls, Supermutants, strangely intelligent Mirelurks, and things even stranger. The particular kind of radiation surrounding the area is a mix that not only seems to not be particularly deadly, but also not easily stopped by vaults. Not only that, but instead of rotting you to the core, it seems to corrupt your DNA just enough for you to mutate animal features, like fur and tails and things. This seems to mostly affect those who are seriously injured, or, strangely enough, those who have just achieved orgasm.
Due to all this, if you can name it, it's probably living in Junkyard Junction somewhere. It is called the Foundry of Fuzz for a reason, after all.

| That's all the backstory I'm giving for now. Everyone should try to come up with their own character, then PM me, and I'll make my own secret character card for you and then tell you everything you didn't tell me, such as what your character knows or does or is friends with. The character cards shall remain secret just so that you guys don't have to worry about too many numbers, because I'll keep track of all of that myself. If you ever really want to see your character card, though, I suppose you could. Your character, under the rules I've just laid out, could theoretically be anything, as long as your not a magical super unkillable godbeast (I'm looking at you, Steve!). Also, obviously, the basic rules apply of: Play seriously, no trolling or griefing, no using out of game knowledge in game, and try to do what your character would do, not what you would do. Unless you character is you, I guess, then it would work fine. Also, if you ever lose interest, always remember that you can retire your character from your control, and I'll probably use them to good effect later. Please do that before you end up ruining the story for everyone else (Yes, that means you, Steve!!)

Also, don't be Steve. I don't like him very much (I heard that, Steve!!!)

Currant spots:
1. Brand_Name, A.K.A. Sophia Marx
2. Hazard1325, A.K.A. Eve
3. Exalted, A.K.A. Kira Dawn
4. Soru, A.K.A. Diana
5. Stickasensi A.K.A. Hillary Bonne
6. [Empty]

| If ever someone dies or retires, their spot will be free for a single day for other people to join in while the original guy makes a new character. If someone joins in that time, they are in until they die or retire. Basically, if you're out, someone else can join within a day of you going out, and then you can come back in.

| Also, regarding turn order, two or more people in the same area can act off each other. Other than that, all actions pretty much happen simultaneously. I'll be posting new stuff when I have actions from at least half the group, but dialogue will be continuous, as much as I can post it.

While I'm interested in this RP you should probably work on getting your 10 posts as a new member before attempting to run an RP, your posts will need moderator approval until you reach 10 and you wont be able to PM. That being said I was wondering if you wanted our character idea/sheet posted here or PMed once your able to receive them?

Don't think I've seen a fallout RP here before. I'll be interested in this. Do you have a CS for us to fill out?

I have no particular character sheet for people to fill out, I'll make one off of whatever information you guys have for me. The more you have, though, the easier it is for me. Think backstory, not numbers.

Also, in regards to the character information recently given to me by Brand_Name, your character card is created, and your space is reserved. I'll place you in the six after I can without the thread disappearing.

Righto, so, status is as follows:
I'm gonna make the actual roleplay thread after I've given at least four people information on their character, and made cards to match. Once I've made the thread, everyone will start on-location, basically in medias res, and new people will join where- and whenever I can fit them. We've got two, with a potential third, and need one more to really get started.
However, if people would like to start just with three, or the crew we have now, let me know. I'm getting together backstory, which will be PM'd to you as soon as it's finished.

What cards are you talking about? You meant the CS? Because we still need a CS to fill out.

Well, I've already said that the information you give me is basically just simple information about your character. As far as an actual format goes, name, age, general appearence, maybe an image if you can. Other than that, just whatever you feel is most important about this character, or most interesting, or most interesting/important thing that happened to them in the past. Possibly try to include at least one skill they seem to excel at, like smithing or medicine or marksmanship. Basically, if you feel like I should hear it from you, put it down. Otherwise, you'll hear it from me later.
Also, just to answer your question, cards are secret, of my own design, and basically contain your character. You're not giving them to me, I'm making them out of your character description. I find it's easier that way, and it prevents people from knowing exactly what they can do. Obviously, I tell you a bit about what you can do, but it prevents people from, say, walking directly into a horde of bad guys specifically because of their dodge score. I prefer people play off of an idea, not a number.

I've finally posted the roleplay thread. Bear in mind, I'm new at this, so it ain't gonna be very high quality near the beginning, but it'll get better as I get more into it. All of the people who have given me character information have little scenarios already, with more to come. Excited to see what comes of this!

I'm givin' it a shot, I think I could do it well, I just need to get a bit of momentum. You'll see.
