The story:
Before reading the story, getting a strong image of the technology can be awesome! (I'm a bit of a nerd. Surprise!)
It's optional, but here is a link to a great video on youtube, where a group of people have to live as they would have in the iron age, building everything by their own hands.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2e7ZLWz3UMw
Remember, that this is a fantasy roleplay, so it won't take as long to build things as it actually did back then!
The necessary story:
A while into the future, a whole new type of technology for gaming arrived at the stores, ready to blast people away with all new experiences. Things that have never been experienced, things beyond a normal humans imagination.
To begin with, a strict non-adult rule had been made law to protect kids against experiencing 'adult' things too early. However, soon a new technology which was able to read the mental age of the person playing made this law useless. Soon, all new vivid, erotic or dashingly realistic games came out.
One of these games was named tribes.
The purpose of the game was to survive the test of time in the wilderness, building up a tribe or maybe an empire, together with nothing but other players. The servers were filled, and people started creating their own races and their own tribes.
One of these tribes were special. A group of tribes had decided to deepen their pact by working together, for the best of their tribes. Then, they decided to create a special tribe, which would consists of several chosen players from the many different tribes. The purpose was to send them out to explore the world, while building relations with the other tribes; in other words, it was a wandering tribe.
However, a grim fate would soon cut them off from their very own tribes... Will they survive?
Extra:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Most of the time, the game-company making the Tribes MMO, would subtly patch up the servers. However, a new patch was revealed to the public since it contained a very special addition. Erotic monsters. It was unexpected for most, disliked by some and loved by others.
A lot of experiments would be conducted on these monsters, and many interesting results derived from it. However, there was more to this patch than they told people...
One of the most loved features of the game, is that it makes time move slower. By speeding up the processes of the mind, 1 second becomes 8 inside the game.
At the beginning of the story, the tribe will be constructing a boat. The plan made by the allied tribes, is to send their special tribe across the ocean to find new land to settle. Also, everyone in the collected tribe has both been willing and then elected by the other tribe-members from their individual tribes.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
You sit down comfortably in your chair, excited about playing tribes once again. You remember the amazing and more realistic than reality-feeling world as if you were still there. You put on the helmet, and start the game through a button on the side of the helmet. The helmet is connected to a powerful PC, that transfers everything from your head to the world. You're now preparing to log in. The computer recognizes your brain and your DNA, and you're automatically logged in. You feel safe, knowing that if your body or mind is about to get affected in reality, you will automatically log out.
The technology work through dreams. By making you go into a dream state, and pumping in dream images, it creates a much more powerful imagery than otherwise possible.
As you log in, you're lying in your bed. You can hear the other players waking up outside your small home, and once you exit this tent, you can see them sitting in a circle. They're being quite loud, so you can easily hear that they're planning to send out people to a common tribe. In excitement, you tell them you'll apply for the position. Unexpectedly, after some debating in the group, they chose you for one or the other reason.
Wandering with a few bodyguards to the designated meeting point, you can't help but gaze towards the beautiful forests which surrounds you at all times. The trees look fresh and alive. The leaves look incredibly real. Even the animals fear of humans is there, as you see a little mouse run away with all it has.
Finally, you arrive. To your surprise, a lot of workers are already here. They seem to be building something near the ocean; perhaps a boat?
This is where your adventure starts. You can feel that you're about to embark out to something special, but you have no idea how right you are...

Resume:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
After login, many players found themselves dazzled, even if only for a moment. Outside their tents, holes in the grounds, or whatever other kinds of temporary housing they may have been using. There, in their special allied encampment, lied the fruit of their labors. A ship, able to carry them across the ocean, even though it only containing paddles. Before boarding the boat, the players had a small feast. Afterwards, they were all escorted to the ship, and prepared to sail into the unknown.

New players will already be on the boat.
This resume was made for my first post on page 3.

Skills:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
You may choose three skills. Each skill makes you able to do something new, that might have been impossible otherwise. Just to prevent confusion: Everyone can use magic, everyone can craft some basic stuff and everyone can survive a couple of blows. This just makes you able to do special things!
If you have any ideas, you can request a skill. Stronger skills will be denied no matter what, however, I may secretly accept them for someone to learn later on.
The number next to the names of the skills level up as you go, making it easier for you to do even more advanced things.
The true potential of your abilities must be discovered through experimentation!
Max level of any skill is 5. Once that is reached, you will often be able to learn new skills related to the skill much easier.
Fire potency 1:
With this potency, you're able to change your energy into fire inside of your body. By doing this, bursting your enemies in flames, or engulfing yourself in a wall of fire will be possible.
Water potency 1:
Water is the source of all life. With it, you can easily change the tide of battle by converting your energy into water, and splash it at high speeds towards your enemies.
Sexual combatant 1:
Unlike most others, you use intercourse as a weapon. By sucking out the life of the enemy through his arousal, you can turn a disadvantageous situation into something good. Doesn't make you immune to arousal, which will slowly weaken this skill.
Focused 1:
You're not easily distracted by loud noises, sounds, feelings or the like. Keeping your head cool in just about every situation is your greatest strength, allowing you to keep moving when the stench is too thick for others to tolerate.
Charismatic chatter 1:
Often, the meeting with other characters will require more than just a good karma. With this, regardless of how your wording comes out, you'll be more likely to befriend a person. Or as they say, become 'more than just friends'.
Survivalist crafting 1:
You're able to make makeshift things in makeshift situations. Rope from leaves, food from insects, clothes from hide and knives from stone.
Tribe architect 1:
You know how to make all the things necessary for a home. Tents, straw beds, workshops and so on. This skill often requires cooperation from other players.
Blacksmith 1:
You know how to make advanced tools out of rare materials, such as cobber and iron. Weapons are also of your expertise.
(Note: To get an idea of what I mean by 'blacksmith' and why iron is so rare, take a look at this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHZznZng ... re=related ; You don't have to make it this realistic, it's just always awesome to get a strong picture of the setting).
Scout 1:
You're great at discovering items, resources, animals and enemies. By searching wide areas with not too much effort, you can easily spot and tell others of resources needed by the other tribe members.
Archer 1:
You're good at using throwing spears and bows for hunting. Your edge with ranged weapons makes you able to stay far away and still be able to help the team.
Melee artist 1:
As a brilliant sword, axe and spear user. With swift swings of your sword, you'll easily outmaneuver an untrained fighter. Not only that, but you have a certain knowledge of the weapons secret strengths. Swords for variety, axe for terror, spear for distance.
Goo-body 1: (Racial specifications must support this)
Your race is able to twist and turn like a pile of living clay, making you able to dodge enemies in creative ways, and find way through the most narrow of spaces.
Martial artist 1:
You're able to bend your body with incredibly speed, and coordinate your attacks to achieve extra nasty effects. Grapples and combinations are your speciality.
Inventor 1:
You're able to invent new skills that your tribe can learn. The process often fails, and requires a lot of time on your own. It's impossible to invent skills without knowing relating skills. You can't make a new style of magic, without knowing either fire or water magic beforehand.
Teacher 1:
You're able to teach people new skills, even if you haven't learned them yourself. It's not a matter of success or fail, but a matter of time which is the key element.
Survivor 1:
You're able to survive for much longer than the average being. In hopeless situations, or periods of starvation, it's you who people will count on.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Your races and creatures you meet will be listed in here. You'll at times have to name some creatures yourself, as they are a completely new discovery.
Note, when choosing races, you must align your skills to the basics of the race. Ashfolk will need fire potency, as an example. Also, no racial benefits are gained without the skill that belongs to it, unless I've made an exception. (So far, a general rule is that breeding-related exceptions have been accepted)

Their skin colours are usually grey and its tones. At their birth, Ashfolk have immense body heat. A baby ashfolk has a body heat equalling to those of a burning flame. Other races cont touch newborn Ashfolks and normally its fatal for other races to get pregnant with Ashfolk babies as baby can burn the womb of the mother close the birth, rendering mother infertile or most of the time, outright killing her. From their birth, an Ashfolk starts lose heat, his or her body getting colder. After somewhere around 120 or 150 years, they lose heat to sustain their bodies and enter a comalike state. Old Ashfolk feels this and retire somewhere warm and secluded. For a year they sleep as their body slowly turns to ash. At the end of their sleep, fire in their heat reignited again. New flesh forms over their body, under the layer of ash and they wake up, as 18 year old Ashfolk again. Though sometimes they dont wake up, and actually die or sometimes, their fire ignites so strong that it even burns their new body. Fate of the latter is unkown, they are presumed to be dead but truth maybe different.
