Serendipity (Still under construction)

Ok, this is an RP still being made, but I have a map mostly made, and a good idea how to run it.

The setting; There is a ship, you want to explore it because it is large.
You are either waking up in the ship without memory of how you got there, or you are an explorer/something.


I will need at least two GMs, I will be one. Unless your nocturnal, I will need an eastern hemisphere GM to run the eastern hemisphere players. The ship is large enough to technically have two RPs at once, while they effect each other via large events. At times you might see other players from the other timezone, but you can't really interact with them first hand, that will slow down the RP.

Crew - Fawkes - Karen (My mom's name is Karen o.O)

Interesting Character sheet, here is how to work it.

You have 30 points to give to either Strength, or Intelligence.
Out of the points you gave them, is how many you have to give to the sub stat.
The last two are combo's of the two which use points from both of them.

So if you have 10 on intelligence, then you can only distribute 10 points to charisma and perception.
Say you put only 9 points to the subclass, that means you can put 1 point to either agility or willpower.

Ya, its complicated (sort of) but it works well with the rolling system I have.

In the end, you should have 60 points added up.

I will start when I finish the map, and have another GM for the other timezone.

This is the main map, there is also a planet, and maps for most of the rooms.

So wait, I'm confused how exactly do you get the number of points to put in Agility and Willpower?

and by ship you mean spaceship?

The agility and willpower comes from any points you don't distribute from intel and strength.

And it could end up being a space station instead of a spaceship. Remember, this RP is still under construction, I have the plots and most of the map finished.

@Reaper, Ya, right now I'm gathering players and feedback, it is mostly finished, just need to finish the map.

Your missing 6 points for intel and strength, still add those in, just don't add them to perception, charisma, health, or endurance.

This is the main map, the yellow line is the divider. There are also some more floors and maps to all the rooms, but like I said I haven't finished it yet.

I seemed to of miss read something about the stats but i'm talking about your whole time system.

for the stats how i thought it worked is this.

you got 3 main stats

MAIN 1
MAIN 2
MAIN 3


All but main 3 you can not put points in to.
Each main stat has 2 sub stats.

Code: Select All Code
MAIN 1
sub 1
sub 2
MAIN 2
sub 1
sub 2
MAIN 3
sub 1
sub 2


Now how i remember this working is you point some figure in to each main stat but not 3.
once both MAIN 1 and MAIN 2 have their stats you give each of the sub a number that sum of the two is equal or less than the main.
What ever is not used with the subs goes in to the subs for MAIN 3

Code: Select All Code
MAIN 1 = 6
sub 1 =2
sub 2 =3
MAIN 2 =24
sub 1 =4
sub 2 = 10
MAIN 3=11
sub 1=9
sub 2=2


but claires looks like every stat you don't use in the sub is multiplied by 2 and added to the corresponding sub for MAIN 3.
basically if you have one point left in MAIN 1 then MAIN 3 sub 1 =2
if you have 6 points left over in main 2 than MAIN 3 sub 2 = 12.

Their are a few ways claires sheet could've worked out but that's the one i believe her's was using.

Not really.

Think of it this way.
You got a body. For each body you have 4 limbs. the only difference here is that they are stats and they are 2 not 4.

Ya, blue had it pretty correct, the main 3 was actually main 1 + main 2,

Either way, really complicated, so I am working on a similar stat system that still works with the mechanics.... This would work waaaay better in a flash game XD

Lets make a MMORPG based off of flash!!!
its an offline MMO, so no servers needed.

so it would be a massive multiplayer offline role playing game.
