The Setting
The stories all agree the world was very different before the Incident; Humanity had the planet tamed and were exploring the mysteries of reality. Some say humanity was despotic and reckless, destroying the world and each other. Other sources claim things were a veritable utopia, with plenty for all and lacking the constant conflict of today. Whatever the truth was, the world since 2100 has changed. Strange material left behind from a disaster long ago plagues the abandoned wastelands know as warplands, creating things of both fantasy and nightmare. You yourself have been accused of becoming warp-tainted and have been exiled from your home. The world outside the fortified city states is uncivilized and dangerous. What will you make of your new world?
Welcome to my latest RP, Warpland Fantasy! This game will focus a lot on transformation and corruption, you won't be able to grow much without risking a bit of your humanity. Starting off things will be a bit of a futuristic apocalypse, but the Warp that will change you can create many strange things and you may find yourself in a seemingly new world depending on where you explore. Please create a post with character that is starting off as a mostly mundane human though:

Basic Mechanics
Beating challenges will work on a gambling based system, each point in a stat represents a 6-sided die that you can bid to attempt to control a scene in some way. For example, say are running from a scary monster and have to leap across a huge gap blocking your path? In your post where you describe your attempt to leap across the chasm, you should include the text "Bid: physical 1" What this means is that you are risking one of your physical points to guarantee that you make your jump safely. I will assign a difficulty to whatever you are describing and roll for it in my response, this will look like this: Difficulty 3, you rolled: 4 So in this example you will safely make your jump with no penalties. Keep in mind that every die that fails to meet the required difficulty will represent exhaustion or injury and be temporarily unavailable for use until a time where you can rest and recover somewhere safe, but also, the more you succeed the more you will gain. Don't be afraid of a little bit of failure~.
Beyond bidding feel free to free form RP whatever you like, but keep just blatantly giving yourself things may result in reality (me) warping things to mess with you.
Improvement and corruption
How do you get better, and what should you fear. As in real life, often times the best way to improve is to fail a bit at first. Often failure will result in consequence that will alter your character's body/mind in ways that are both hazardous and helpful. This changes are represented with corruption dice occasionally I will instruct you to add things to your ability point tracker after failures (or sometimes even successes) such as: Add +1 physical and +1 giant claws Any change listed this way is a change to the total number and is not temporary, and anything that is not one of the base three abilities is a corruption. Like with your other abilities, you may bid a corruption point on anything that is applicable, so if you are slashing up bad guys with your giant claws you may bid your giant claw points as well as physical points. However, keep in mind that if your maximum corruption points ever exceed your current unspent base points, you will lose your humanity to the warp and (probably?) lose your character. So do try to keep those mutations in check.
