Background: Claire was a part of an experiment. She had no family or friends. She kept to herself a lot. The military thought of her as the perfect person to test their new hero serum on. The serum initially just heightened her senses and reflexes. She was trained in hand-to-hand combat. She is incredibly flexible and knows many forms of martial arts. However, she is also deadly with any weapon. She is quick on her feet when thinking of a battle strategy. One day the military wanted to push Claire with a new robot. The robot went rogue and was ruthless. It killed many military personnel before Claire could stop it. However, it was nuclearly powered. It exposed Claire to massive doses of radiation. This triggered a secondary effect in the serum. She gained the powers to regenerate and temporarily take powers of any other hero. However, taking the power from the hero causes great strain on Claire and she only does when she has to. Her regeneration powers are not as well as Deadpool's or Wolverine's. She can re-attach limbs, but for them to fully re-attach, it takes time and can be quite painful depending on how severe and what body part it is. The military did not want to release Claire into the world. She was supposed to be terminated. She got away before the military could kill her. She started new and tried to stay low. She is now a mercenary. She fights for whoever pays her the most, or whoever can benefit her the most.

So far everyone's character seems alright in theory, I still don't know about having a superman clone balance wise.

For a superman clone, you can get the powers over time. Or do something like they did in Smallvile. He temporarily lost his flying power and he had to work for a long time to get it back. Start off with one power, like super strength or something, and then slowly build up.

If u've ever seen young justice they have a 'superboy' who is a clone of superman, he has the leap and the strength but he doesn't have the heatray or the flying. of course he's half human in the show but its a good reference point.

If u've ever seen young justice they have a 'superboy' who is a clone of superman, he has the leap and the strength but he doesn't have the heatray or the flying. of course he's half human in the show but its a good reference point.

If I remember correctly, he isn't a clone. He's Superman and Lois Lane's son. Sorry, I'm a bit of a comic nerd.

there is an alternate universe story about Lois Lane or Wonder Woman and Supermans son but I can't remember the name of it I only know that it's the origin story of Phantom Stranger who is the child of Superman and can step out side of time.

But Hades don't worry about saving yourself the fact your a comic nerd is all good in my books ^_^

If I remember I read somewhere they were using an alternate earth, one that hadn't seen much use and could be played with, such as using wonder girl because she's really hard to use for some reason, without any problems in the Young justice show. But yes I meant lex luthor and superman clone.

so are we starting characters with powers they just learned to tap into or are we masters of ourselves etc?

and I might need to re-read through the posts but how is the combat system going to work??

Uh, technically my character has no powers unless being a genius when it comes to military engineering, and being a super solider counts.

How would 'Will saves' work such as hypnosis and seduction/charms/illusions etc?? will we be using Intelligence as a modifier or how will those sort of attacks work?

Background: Laura never got to have a normal life. She was born into her powers and her powers were quite difficult to hide. She ran away at the age of sixteen because of increasing pressure from those around her. She was always told she was ugly and a freak and she couldn't take it. So she left. After that she became a stripper to make money and lived in a small town on the outskirts of Vegas. She eventually got hired at an even bigger casino to strip on the main stage and she grew quite a bit of infamy.
Power: Laura's primary mutant ability is an accelerated healing factor that allows her to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissues with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. Injuries such as gunshot wounds, slashes, and puncture wounds completely heal within a matter of minutes. Her healing factor is developed to such a degree that she can reattach severed limbs. She has also been shown to be able to regrow limbs. mutant healing factor heightened her physical senses, strength, speed, agility, reflexes/reactions, coordination, balance, endurance to superhuman levels. Laura possesses retractable claws sheathed within her forearms. She releases the claws through the tissue of her knuckles, leaving small wounds which are healed by her healing factor. Unlike Wolverine, however, X-23 has only two claws per hand. She also possesses a single, retractable claw housed within each foot.

Just because she is born with them doesn't mean she's used to them. Where would she get any practice?

I would say she had 18 years to practice, my character is an alien who's powers are part of her biology much like your mutation, don't get me wrong I'm not blaming you for wanting to start like that God knows I wrote a full history for mine, but as you stated she had not choice about her powers because they were pretty Damn apparent >_>
