How will the grappling to affect raleigh's next move- can she do anything or use extra stamina to escape the hold? Also, will her phobia of close quarters affect anything?

You'll have to attempt a strength roll to escape. And yes your phobia of Being grappled and Feeble flaw will both come into play.

I haven't considered letting players use extra Stamina to escape a grapple roll.

So TTT, Even if you rolled a 20 on an escape roll and the Knight got a 1. You still wouldn't be able to escape. So how do you wanna play the scenario out? Do you want me to keep rolling for the Knight or just end the battle here?

Raleigh would never give up! And I thought an escape attempt only used half stamina; couldn't she attempt one if she escaped soon?

Oh ok, because of her strength? I see now. Yeah go ahead and drop her health to zero. I'll edit my last post in a few hours, or if you beat me to it, we'll just go along with your next post.

Also, I was wondering: what do the tentacles look like? From a purely aesthetic standpoint. Are they plant-like and green, fleshy and red, luminous and blue? Just trying to picture what you have in mind. And last question, after a character (Raleigh) is defeated, does she have any chance of being rescued and put back into the fight, maybe with some detrimental consequence, like lowered stars or an additional flaw or weakness or something?

oh, yeah that's a thing. and us sleeping might mess up the time continuity, since rebecca's still active.

plus i checked the quick sheets and it looks like keira's the only one not at full health, and she's only missing 9 points of health.

Yea that's a problem too. If Rebecca had been captured anytime during her rescue mission, that would have been an easy way to fix that. But exalted seems to be rolling along just fine.

If anything, I could play around with the time continuity and have it so that Rebecca's adventure in the fort is occurring around dawn, when Ertha's group awakens if they've decided to sleep.

I believe the phrase you are looking for is "Like a boss"

I'll post up now, easiest way would just be to just make one test whether she escapes the fort or gets caught on the way out (Assume if she gets caught that she holds up somewhere safe-ish till morning or if she get's caught the guards are too busy with the fire until morning to take their pleasure from her). That gives you options as to who catches her as well, the men in the cell, the inquisitor, monsters or knights.

it looks like we're fighting this abyss slayer, then? could i make another post to announce my character's attack, or would i have to wait for the gm post? don't wanna give the boss a free round to throw us around.
