Catch-22: Must get better to roleplay, but must roleplay to get better.

Solution: Push yourself to your limits and you'll get better with time. Ask yourself: Do I want this to succeed and enjoy it? If the answer is yes, then start applying your ideas to it. It's the core of roleplaying. It also sounds like you're uncomfortable with peoples' expectations, but I can pretty much guarantee that nobody is here to tear your head off.

This might sound hackneye, but it's the only advice that works.

As long as i have RPed i have never had anyone actually do the nazi-ish thing to me, I was kinda taken back by it. Most people actually said I write pretty well, so it just surprising. Really sorry to sound like I was getting down.

But anyways I'll try to do better for you Kura.

I do a great deal of writing, and have had people comment on my grammar before. So I tend to pay better attention now. Usually, simple mistakes I just auto-correct and move on, but with your writing in some cases I'm having to stop, reread it, and then either move words around or swap them out, or just slice them out altogether.

But that's okay, its no big deal. Minor annoyances happen.

However, I would like to make a suggestion regarding RP posts as a GM. While its fine to give players hints to things that if they look into they might learn something important, its best to simply cut out information that the character wouldn't know. I'm referring currently to the bit about Candy not knowing whether its a Lizard temple or not unless she translated things.

I know what you're talking about but it'd be best if you didn't comment on people's grammar. No matter how kindly you try to put it, it still pisses the person off. Imo if you can read it and understand it there really isn't anything to complain about.

I know I shouldn't, its just developed into one of those things that's hard for me to ignore/not comment on. I blame it on writing fanfiction and having people call me out on my own grammar and spelling mistakes. It doesn't really bother me because it helps me become a better writer.

I can understand that, and heck, were we doing this around a table and in front of each other, I probably wouldn't care (heck, I probably wouldn't even notice it) but in text...

And that's okay, I wasn't upset or anything or bothered. I was merely commenting...though I'm noticing that here you don't seem to have any grammar problems. At the very least, reading your post there, I don't feel any need to auto-correct anything as I read...I am the confuzzled.

When writing the GM posts, do you type quickly? That would be more then enough to explain it, I've made mistakes before when typing rapidly. I usually make sure to double check things to make sure there's no typo's...that and I know exactly what I'm saying before I post. Habit gained from posting without thinking in Political Chat sections.

Yes thats actually what i have done in the past and end up seeing that i did something wrong once i look back at it after someone says something, more or less since you said something i have been checking before hitting post at least from what i have seen i have been.

Edit: btw you can update your profile on the CS with your fetish list of Do and Don'ts like if you dont want something i have planned please tell me like others have done so, It's mostly Neo so far that has had anything specific.

Yeah, writing quickly and then hitting post are bad combinations (which I've learned in the past, as I mentioned. Especially bad in chat sections where politics are discussed)

As for the fetish thing, I don't particularly care. Vore and Gore are no's, as are watersports and scat, but beyond that I don't really care too much. Technically I'm against necro, but that's in the sense of actual dead. The undead...that's questionable.

I play Corruption of Champions, there's not much I don't find interesting at the very least.
