Yay! The downside of this game is the waiting but is it so worth the wait. I can honestly say I have the most fun in this Pokémon game then any other one. So nice job on that one Misc.

Hm... I like Zapdos and Zekrom looks cool, so I'll blame it on Thundurus. I'll try to work on the wait times, but I'm truly glad to hear ya'll are enjoying this so much. But, on the subject of wait times, here's two sets of them: KingKaor, I'll either have to place you somewhere else or have you wait until the Battle of Oldale is complete since I'd literally be dropping you face first into a battle your Pokémon are completely unprepared for. The second is that between June 6 and... let's say June 12th at latest, I'm gonna be gone from the site entirely. I'm moving to Miami, so I'm gonna need a few days to settle in and all that good stuff.

On the brightside, Zen, you're back in! Whether that's good or not is subjective though considering the position you were in when you left... You can make posts at any point. The post you left off on has been edited into the current post.

question if I want to swap my pokemon to lose my disadvantage will it have any negative effects? like will my new pokemon get hit right away?

Very likely, yes. I mean, you are essentially giving the enemy time to prepare their next shot and make sure it REALLY stings.

well if it means I have the upper hand I think I might just do it I have potions if things go to badly. and what are my chances of getting my pidgey to learn gust? when I bring it out?

Honestly? Pigdey's never seen Gust, never heard of Gust, and has no idea how to do Gust, so it'd be pitiful chances since you JUST caught him and all. You'd need to sit down with him and teach it to him or built a bond of trust strong enough for him to force himself to remember techniques in his DNA in order for him to learn a completely new move with no experience in a high-stress situation. It's not something you wanna try in the heat of battle since it has VERY low chances of success, as I tried to show Varen when he tried to teach Growlithe Ember in the middle of a fight. If he sees an example of it, then he can catch on even in combat, but with Swablu being the only Bird-type around and it not knowing Gust, those chances are about what you can expect. Definitely approve of getting Larvitar out of there though. Without switching opponents with another trainer, that was NOT going to go well.

On the bright side for Varen though, Kuragari's Houndour knows Ember, so having Growlithe hang around and observe Shadow would better help Growlithe learn Ember. Unfortunately, Growlithe's not the one on the field right now.

Again, definitely approve of getting Larvitar out of there since there are now no Pokemon that are type effective against Pidgey since they lack Ice, Electric, or Rock moves (this time around). Based on where things are going right now, I've figured out what next turn for Pidgey will look like. Whether that changes depends on your teammates. Just remember: I warned you that you've given your enemy the chance to prepare to hit you REAL hard.

ya I know but what would have been worse thunder staying in or typhoon going in and getting hit hard?

Honestly, it would've been worse to keep Thunder in. Yeah, Typhoon gets hit hard once, Thunder would've been hit with Absorb again and again unless you traded opponents with another Trainer. Not many Pokemon stand up to a 4x effective move for too long in my experience.

ok last question for ya then based on what detail I tossed into the post do I even have a 25% chance of learning the move?

Normally, if you hadn't given the opponent that much time to prepare an attack, I'd say you'd have more than a 25% chance based on the amount of detail you put into it.

I'm out of school. I don't have long weekends any more. Or since I'm still not working, should I consider this one giant long weekend? Anyways, I just got back from tutoring people, so I'll start on posts now.

@King- Since you're a Johto native, I'll say you start off with a PokeDex. I'd find it odd that you entered in tournaments for years without having a PokeDex or PokeNav. Or in the case of Johto, PokeGear. You can upgrade to PokeNav in Littleroot if you want though. Speaking of updates, I haven't forgotten about upgrading everyone to the C-Gear.

EDIT: On second thought, we have a problem: I can't do too terribly much with the Oldale Battle until Kuragari posts up since Samantha's actions could affect what the enemy does to other players.
