Would anyone object to dropping the system from this? To be honest it would make it easier for me to make regular/frequent posts at the moment.

The system does have some advantages, but sure, whatever works better for you
If it takes me two weeks or more to respond to a RP without prior notice, send me a PM. It's more likely I've missed the last post, forgot or got distracted and need a little reminder rather than deciding to drop the game without warning.

What parts of the system would you consider essential then or that improve the experience?

Well, not really esential, but after few past experiences (bad GM's), I prefer the knowledge I was screwed because bad roll/RNG result, not GM's malice, though I don't think that would be the case with you from what I saw so far. And after years of playing system-heavy RPG's, I'm kinda accustomed to the knowledge of my character's abilities/limitations, I sometimes have a tendency to be a powergamer. Neither of that makes system really necessary, it's just my personal preference, so if you decide to drop it, I won't mind.

Heck, I'm fine with whatever result if it ends up being a good story - and by good, I don't mean "Yay, we win"

It's too quiet for my liking...where's everyone?

Probably going to put this to rest soon due to lack of interest.

That's understandable. I don't know why suddenly everyone else lost interest, it was a great game.

Frequency is too little and often times I wait for gorbaz so I wont have to wait for his post
Life has gotten so much more boring. Well I suppose it doesn't help if I say my only source of entertainment is YouTube and here. So yeah not much of interesting life going on.

Sorry about the sudden disappearance, had to get some distance to clear my head. Would be willing to keep it going, but as Knight said, a faster turn around between GM posts would help keep things focused.

At this point the current plotline is probably scraped for good. If there's still sufficient interest in a 40k based RP I'd consider a reboot probably with a tighter focus and or faster post. Any thoughts or opinions? Things that could have been better besides just the posting frequency?

As I've said, the game was great, and if there will be any reboot, I'm in. I had no problem with the rate of posts, though I understand other people don't like waiting so long...and sometimes, I couldn't wait until the next GM post myself

I would be happy to join a reboot. Things got a little fuzzy for me after the one other player I was interacting with left shortly after I started, but it was fun. Everything was fine about the RP though.

Just a thought, but what about a more investigation/horror based plot instead of the open combat.

The team has to investigate a daemonic incursion or something at a remote outpost etc.

Might be easier if going rules/ system light for ease of GM posting.

I'm really not in a great spot to start up another, but I will take that into consideration. I could use one of my old Dark Heresy scenarios I made, problem with horror in 40k is most of the truly horrific or disgusting things out there probably want to kill you and are usually very good at it. I prefer rules but they do make it harder to post when either records are not kept or the forum eats your dice rolls.
