Ether Works' Altera (OOC)

Postby Oroboros1337 » Tue Jan 29, 2013 9:36 am

The year is 2057 and video game technology has taken it's greatest leap forward. Ether Works has perfected the first full sensory immersion video game and it has became the most anticipated MMO ever launched. On launch day, people eagerly awaited the final count down until the servers came up, logging in to be one of the first to walk the digital world. What they did not expect was that they would be walking that ground for quite some time, trapped in their own fantasy.

What is the game like?
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Altera is a fantasy MMO, and as such people play warriors, wizards, and all the rest of the usual barrage of character types. The world is populated by NPCs that have been painfully carefully developed. Each one seems at first brush to be a full person. Effort was made to actually populate all the villages with NPCs that have full interaction. All of the NPCs in the world are programmed to respond and act like real people, but are also designed to rationalize away any players referring to gaming terminology or their real lives. If a player were to say lol, they would instead think the player had laughed. If the player told their friend to stop being a goof and accept the friend invite, the NPC would simply act as though they had never heard it.

Combat works like any other MMO and is another place where the game becomes unrealistic. People swing weapons at each other, but upon scoring hits, don't actually rend flesh or cause much in the way of pain. Taking a mace to the head feels much like getting slapped upside the head and your hit point meter drops. When a character's hit points are totally depleted, they find themselves rendered feeble. Their arms and legs have next to no strength, strong enough to get up on their knees perhaps or with herculean effort maybe even stand up, but walking is nigh impossible. Spells and skills are disabled, and even if the character does manage to hit something, no damage is scored. After the player is disabled for an hour, they are teleported back to the nearest temple in town and 'resurrected', restored to full health and assigned a death penalty of some sort.

Marketers being the geniuses they are have realized that sex sells. There are four kind of women in the world, those that are little kids, those that are really old, those that are hideously ugly, and those that are smoking hot. Naturally, this last group is most of them. The smoking hot women are highly sexualized. Amazon warriors will wear chain mail bikinis and sometimes raid local communities to steal men for breeding. Merchant women and sorceresses alike will wear skimpy or otherwise revealing clothing. Bar maids not only are always incredibly curvy, but they are infatuated with adventurers and will eagerly jump into bed with them. Princesses fall in love with people who rescue them and of course thank them profusely. And also, most women love the idea of lesbian encounters, yet remain straight. Best of all for female adventurers, when a male monster overpowers them, they can probably expect to not be killed, though they probably will be raped. Male adventurers usually are slain when defeated, unless their opponent happened to be something like a nymph or a succubus.

What is Altera?
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Altera is the breakthrough hit MMO that Ether Works produced. Altera is a fantasy world where the players take on the roles of Champions of the Gods, created to fight in a holy war against a great evil.

The First Age began when the Gods created this world. The Gods were beings from another realm that had attained Enlightment, true insight and access to the tools that allowed for creation. Together, they pooled their powers to create a new realm fashioned in their own image and populated with creatures they had designed. These were the humans, the elves, the beastmen, but also all the animals and monsters that run through the land. Each had their favourite projects and each loved their creation.

The First Rift marked the end of the First Age. From another realm, a dark presence invaded the creation fo the Gods. The dark entity known as Kas'lin controlled a realm of it's own and led it's people into the realm of Altera in a bid to conquer and corrupt it, to turn this realm into a reflection of it's own. It brought demons to Altera. The Gods rallied their people and met Kas'lin combat. It was a hard fought war, one in which several of the gods lost their lives. They were victorious and forced Kas'lin back into it's home realm. Kas'lin was going to lick it's wounds and return however, so the Gods conceived a plan. Rather than meeting the entity again in pitched combat next time, they made an investment in their own creations. They began creating Champions, creatures that were capable of the same great potential that they had.

The Second Age was an era of prosperity for the people of Altera. At first the horrors of war were fresh in their mind and the Church began preparations for the return of the Rift. Church hunters scouered the countryside to hunt down the remains of the demon forces. However, as generations passed, the urgency of the invasion began to fade. People began to doubt the demons would ever return. The authority of the Church faded and the kingdom of Travain rose in it's place.

Travain was founded by King Travain the First. King Travain rebelled against the priorities of the Church, advocating that people should not prepare for war but instead should prepare for prosperity. He convinced people to join him in settling new lands, exploring new mines, improving farming, and generally leading people to lead more prosperous and pleasant lives. He ended policies like a forced tithe to the Church to pay for the war efforts and a mandatory term of military service the Church had been demanding to ensure the populace was ready to fight. Instead, he inspired people to spend their time and money on living their lives to the fullest. People felt safe under his rule, and the rule of his descendents. Depite the waning faith in their purpose, the Church continued on, preparing against the coming destruction with dedication.

The Second Age has just ended, and the Second Rift has opened. Generations of complacency have been wiped away as the Kingdom of Travain rushes to try and prepare for war. The Gods have seen that it is time for their plan to be put into action. Their Champions, beings imbued with the power of the Gods over the whole second age, have been placed upon Altera and asked by the Gods to save the realm and it's people from Kas'lin.

Game Mechanics
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The game mechanics are kept deliberately simple to make forum play easy and smooth. Every time that a character attempts to do something where it is appropriate for the dice to step in and get involved, they make a test against one of their three traits. Might, Cunning, and Charm are the three traits that all characters have. Bonuses can be gained to these tests, usually from equipment but also from circumstances. For example, fighting a goblin might get a +2 to your Might test if you have a sword. Bartering for a better price from the merchant you just rescued from that goblin might be at +3 to your charm for saving their life.

Might allows people to perform feats of physical prowess. These might be swimming a raging river, climbing a cliff, hauling a cart when the horses have died, or engaging in a fight with local ruffians or monsters.

Cunning is rolled when the test involved is involving skill or intellect. Examples include sneaking by someone, trying to win a game of chess, track someone back to their lair, or casting an arcane spell if they happen to know magic.

Charm is rolled when someone attempts to persuade someone else, such as when an adventurer attempts to seduce the barmaid, when trying to convince a guardsman not to search your wagon for smuggled goods, when trying to haggle over the price of a new weapon, or when beseeching the Gods for a miracle as a priest.

Tests are resolved with a singe dice roll based on the attribute of the character versus either another character's attribute or a target number. If you roll high enough, you win and get to decide how you win. If you don't roll high enough, you'll lose and I'll tell you what happens when you lose. So, for example, if you were fighting that goblin, and your might was a d6, then I will roll for you 1d6 with a +2 for your sword. For the goblin, I might roll 1d4 with a +1 for it's knife. If you roll a 4, get +2, your total is 6. It rolls a 3, gets +1, it's total is 4. You have defeated the goblin and will get to pose exactly how that happens. For example, "Killgore bats the knife aside with his blade, reaches out with his hand to grab the goblin by the throat, and lift it into the air. He then tells it, "Run home to mommy," and throws it towards the exit, watching as it scampers away." might be what you post. There won't be any hit point totals or multiple tests for the same thing since those would drag things down.

If multiple people team up to do the same thing, say two people team up to fight the goblin, I'll roll the highest of the traits you all possess, use the highest bonus, and then add +1 for each person after the first. For example, Ned, Ted, and Ed, all decide to fight an orc and a goblin. Ned has a Might of d8 and his bare hands, Ted a might of d6 and a knife for +1, and Ed a Might of d4 with a sword for +2. The orc has a Might of d8 with a sword for +2 and the goblin has a might of d4 with a knife for +1. For Ned, Ted, and Ed, I'll roll 1d8 (Ned's Might), +2 (Ed's Sword), and +2 (three people in total). The orc and goblin will roll 1d8 (the orc's might) +2 (the orc's sword) +1 (for the goblin). The winning team will all get to post their side if they win.

Character Creation
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Your character for this game is going to be a person who has purchased Altera and joined in. When your character first logged in, they were asked to design their own avatar. That means essentially they have the physical appearance of whatever your character thought to design. Most of the players in Altera have taken this chance to tweak their own appearance, men often making themselves more muscular and increasing the size of their penises, women giving themselves the body they've always wanted to have or wanted to try. For those who went so far as to switch gender, they may be in for a surprise, they may find their orientation has changed to match their new body.... (Depending on player preference really)

Each character gets to assign one each of a d8, a d6, and a d4 to their traits when they build their character.

Each character also has when they start equipment that will give them a total of +3 to their rolls, no one piece higher than a +2. So, for example, a character might start with a sword that gives a +2 to combat rolls and a flashy cape that gives a +1 to rolls to impress people. Or, you could start with a sword that gives a +1 to combat rolls, a flashy cape that gives +1 to rolls to impress people, and soft soled boots that give a +1 to checks to move silently. When you add up the total bonuses from all your equipment, it should total +3.

Each character gets three pieces of gear as well. Try to keep it relatively simple like a torch, a rope, something like that. Basic clothing is of course free to starting characters as well. Each character will also get to start with 2 gold coins, 3 silver coins, and 5 copper coins. Much like in D&D, each silver coin is worth 10 copper coins, and each gold coin is worth 10 silver coins. I'll make up prices for equipment as we go.

Leveling Up!
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Leveling up!

When your character acquires enough experience points to level up, they are awarded a 'skill point' to spend. The 'Skill' that you select is something you make up, just like your equipment. Except, instead of it being your equipment, it is a trait you possess. An example of a popular 'skill' for a warrior character would be 'Sword Mastery'. If a warrior were to level up to level 2 and take their skill point in Sword Mastery, they would get a +1 to any checks they made using that sword from then on.

Much like equipment, I encourage you to get creative with what your skills are. Some examples to get your imaginations going could be Sword Mastery (for rolls with weapons), Stealth (for rolls to sneak), Elemental Magic (for rolls to spellcast elemental magic), Iron Will (resisting people's persuasive arguments, seduction attempts, or charm spells), Dragon Slayer (bonus to rolls versus Dragons), Trader (bonus to checks to haggle with merchants), Fire Magic (bonus to using fire spells, this could stack with other skills like Elemental Magic), Locksmith (bonus to rolls to pick locks), Quick Feet (bonus to rolls to run away or catch up to something or someone).

Each skill is not allowed to be more than two points higher than your next highest skill. What I mean by this is if you were a Warrior and you took the skill Sword Mastery, you'd be able to raise it to +1 or +2 without a problem. Before you were allowed to take it to +3, you would have to get another skill, like Dragon Slayer, at +1. Once this warrior has Sword Mastery +2 and Dragon Slayer +1, he'd be allowed to spend his next level up to bring his Sword Mastery to +3. His Sword Mastery would not be able to go to +4 until he'd raised his Dragon Slayer to +2.

When a character levels up to a level divisible by 5, (level 5, level 10, level 15, and so on), that character upgrades one of their dice a rank instead of getting a stat point. So, for example, if their Might is 1d6, they can upgrade it to 1d8. 1d4 upgrades to 1d6, 1d6 upgrades to 1d8, 1d8 upgrades to 1d10, 1d10 upgrades to 2d6, 2d6 upgrades to 2d8. I'll expand on the upgrade chart when anyone gets to that level.

I know these might be pretty confusing for some people, so if you find yourself totally confused, I'm willing to answer questions that people have, either now, or when they level up. If this is too confusing, when you level up, I'll tell you what you are allowed to increase and what you aren't.

It actually reminded me more of Sword Art Online or .hack. Then again, the "virtual reality gone wrong" subgenre isn't exactly new, is it?

~

Name: Severine (Emma Hayes)

Level: 2
Experience: 15/25
Skills: Elemental Mastery +1
Money: 2 gold, 3 silver, 5 copper

Concept: Destruction Mage – A variety of spellcaster focusing not just on strong elemental and arcane attacks, but also powerful spells capable of rewriting the battlefield. Destruction Magi (Usually known as “Desma's” in player slang) pride themselves on being able to articulate and control many different elements and forms of magic to eliminate their opponents. Thus they are incredibly versatile and capable of immense damage against the strongest enemies, but the amount of skill required to play them effectively means they are rare.

Appearance:

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

Might: D4
Cunning: D8
Charm: D6

Equipment:

Arcane Robe – A comfy, dark blue hooded robe with delicate gold embroidering along its edges and a hot pink trim along the neck and front. Small gold ornaments line the hood and gold tassets hang from small cloth spaulders on the shoulders. The robe can open via small clasps at the front but for reasons of modesty, Severine keeps it closed. An item indicative of spellcasters, this enchanted robe was purpose-crafted for magicians and features a minor enchantment that contains and directs arcane energies within its fabric, giving an appreciable boost to spellcasting. It does not provide much physical protection, however. (+1 to Spellcasting rolls)

Lesser Ruby Amulet – An elaborately-crafted gold amulet with delicate runic engraving, shaped roughly like a horseshoe. A small, glistening spherical ruby has been fixed in the center. Severine hangs this from her neck. Compared to other players' gear, the piece might not be that impressive, but in the lore of Altera gemstones and precious metals are famously used as control surfaces for arcane energies. The enchantments laid upon the amulet help focus spells, but the sheen of the amulet when it is charged with arcane energy might be either wondrous or intimidating. (+1 to Spellcasting rolls, +1 Charm)

Besides those enchanted items, Severine also carries a long, slender dark brown wooden staff with no real properties other than being hard and good for whacking things. Sev intended to enchant this one day, but never got around to it. She keeps it around for miscellaneous use, but as she believes magic is superior to mundane methods, she carries little else beyond it.

@Suraru : I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with Homestuck, so this might be exactly like it or nothing like it. It is very much inspired by Sword Art Online, and seems in line with .Hack from what I know, a series I've been meaning to watch.

@ Napsii : Everything checks out on your character sheet. Feel free to come up with a name for your player if you wish, but it isn't necessary. Though perhaps Severine is the player's name, in which case you might need a 'handle'? As to your gem and robe, I have no problem with the items you've picked and the bonuses add up. However, you may wish to consider changing the bonus from a +1 to Cunning to a +1 to Spellcasting rolls. This way, you will not get the bonus to checks to solve riddles and the like, but if you are for some reason forced to make a Might test to spell cast (Perhaps while wrestling with a creature, to see if you can get your arms free to cast?) than you would get your bonus to such a check. Very pretty picture!

@SugarCookie : I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

@daxtinator396 : You are welcome to use the old character if you like, but take a moment to think if there is something unique that this game might let you do that you couldn't in most other RPs. If there is, take this chance to pounce on this concept. If not, just play whatever grabs you the most.

Ah, alright. I'll add a player name right away. Severine is supposed to be the character name.

And yeah, I had sort of forgotten the specifics of the system since it was last used in Evan's Campaign, haha. I'll edit that to spellcasting rolls right away, since she is supposed to be a magician, after all. Not sure how a robe would make you solve riddles better...

@Reapergod36 : Yeah, you assign one of the dice to each stat. You get to pick which goes where.

@Napsii : Heh, I figured that spellcasting was your intention there, so I thought I'd best point it out. I'd be surprised if everyone knew the system, it came out of my crazy crack pot brain and was dependent on me recording it correctly for you all to read. Mistakes are bound to be made.

EDIT: I added a miscellaneous feature/equipment piece. Nothing too special.

Name : Greg Spade. Handle = AceOfSpades.
Concept : Youthful Swordsman.
Appearance :
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

Might : D8
Cunning : D4
Charm : D6

Equipment :
-Herzenschwert. A sword whose name means "Heart Sword," Herzenschwert is said to carry power proportional to its wielder's strength of will. Those of strongest spirit may find it cutting through a steel zweihander like thin air, and inversely, a king of wimps would likely watch the blade turn to dust once he grabs it. For Greg, however, it's generally at the power of your average hand-and-a-half sword, though the blade itself can't be broken. (Effect: +1 to Might.)

-Serene Spirit. While not a piece of equipment in the more literal sense, Greg's eyes are known to bear a calm sort of presence. While this presence exudes trust and kindness in typical conversation, they can also be intimidating when his nerves are steeled for combat. After all, it's the calm warriors who are often the most dangerous, and any fighter worth his salt will know that. (+1 to Charm normally, but that bonus is upped to +2 if he's trying to convince someone not to fight.)

Miscellaneous feature: Scarlet Storm. This is more like an extra option, which allows Greg to apply a visual effect of red lightning to his attacks. It serves no tactical purpose, and is simply in there for a little more personal flair.

Money: 2 Gold, 2 Silver, 5 Copper.

Sexiness : Play Nice.

EDIT v2: Edited in my moneys!

Name : Shima, Bone-Breaking Badass
Concept : Martial Artist
Appearance :
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image

Might : d6
Cunning : d8
Charm : d4

Equipment :
-A Kubotan: While it may just look like a small stick, it actually allows her greater maneuverability of her opponent when she parries an attack, making it easier to get them into locks or just allowing her to hit her opponent with a stick on counter. +1 to combat rolls

-Sleeveless Cheongsam: No real reason. She just thought it looked stylish. It IS a bit on the skimpy side for the outfit, but that just allows her more freedom of movement to attack. +1 to combat rolls, +1 to charm

Misc Equipment:
Small hip-pack- Shima keeps this full of medical items such as gauze, salves, splints, and basically everything a martial artists needs to fix broken bones and contusions and things of that nature
Rope- She keeps this coiled up around the hip-pack, just in case.

This, but with six glowing green eyes, that run along the sides of her head.. Mainly neutral for a facial expression.

Might : D6
Cunning : D4
Charm : D8

Equipment : Bondage Gear (not wearing it), A Whip, A Strap-On.

Adornment of Penance (appearance in picture on her head) -
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

A once great knight is responsible for this items creation, as he was well known for striking down many demons. Even to be so righteous as to charge into the demon's home itself. He charged forth slaying many a strong and powerful demon. But upon seeing a woman cowering in fear, he stopped to aid her. His aid was poorly rewarded as it was a demon, that had taken human form as a ruse. She quickly claimed his heart, still beating from his chest. The knight fell to his knees in pain, but he would not yell. He rose up and just as the demon was going to consume his heart. He ran her through with his claymore, watching as she faded and burned away. Seeing himself near death, he took his prized possession. A necklace from his wife, and jammed it where his heart once was. Little did he know, his wife had it enchanted. Thinking it would make him immortal, instead it trapped him inside the jewel of the necklace. Forced to aid whoever wore it, with his holy might. An item intended for his wife, was worn by a priestess. However it seems to have fallen far from the light. Regardless, it carries on its duties with Vara. Granting +1 Might when used against the most recent physical attacker.

Harlequin's Greaves -
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

These grieves were once the talk of the town, or at least thier wearer was. As she was gifted with a heavenly voice, and dancing grace to match. Her grieves being made of a special material that echoed her voice, causing such harmony when she sung. It was like being a one woman chorus, but with such a heavenly voice. Comes love as she soon drew the attention of many sutors, but there was one in particular. Who was quite persistent. One day he finally got to approach the female who danced with such grace. But he soon came to a great grief as he found her unwanting of his offer. He no longer was so persistent for a time. But then, as she was getting ready to preform. He rushed into her dressing room and came at her slashing wildly with a knife. The guards managed to pull him away. But not before he cut her body to the point where she was bleeding all over. Before they had time to tell her to rest. She was called onto stage and couldn't help her natural showmanship. She rushed out and tried to dance, but the pain made her clumsy and she fell. She soon found herself face first on the floor, the whole crowd laughing at her. She felt such betrayal from ones she had caused such joy. She let out a massive high note, paining the ears of her listeners. People rushed for the door and knocked over the braziers of the large barn like room. They all burned to death, the last sound they heard was her voice... Once a bringer of joy to the watchers of the dance theater. These grieves now only bring suffering to those around them. As when worn they cause the wearer to become more agile (+1 to cunning) when dancing and also howl out the suffering of those who died on that tragic day. Decreasing the will of those who hear it.

Choker of The Magician -
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

There was once a magician, who loved to sate the crowd's lust for tricks and illusionry. They were always peculiar about the studded collar that always lay around his neck. Little did they know that when he was done making things appear from nowhere. He too would disappear to an even more mysterious location. At a local brothel where he knew a woman who could satisfy his particular tastes. Choking with a leash, pouring hot candle wax, the magician was a sucker for abuse, a classical sadist. He even worked up such enjoyment for it, that he presented his mistress with a ring. She was overjoyed to hear her favorite bitch wanted to stay with her forever. But the next night the magician preformed magic, there was royalty in the crowd. Who gave the magician quite a handsome amount of gold and a position at his castle. Just to create new tricks to preform to his royal subjects to keep them happy. This spread wide throughout the town, even to the brothel at which the magician didn't part from in his usual schedule. As the mistress was happily pulling the leash tighter, to cause her soon to be husband some abuse. Of course for him to enjoy, she spoke of how happy she was to be the proud wife of the king's magician. Asking when they would be moving, and when they would be wed. However, the magician replied that he would not marry her. Instead he would hire her to be his personal mistress. He argued that why should he marry her, when he can buy several. When she refused the offer to be bought. He simply boasted of how many others would die to take her place, and of how she would not be needed. At that last word, his mistress gave him his final pleasure... Death, as she pulled the leash so tight and so quick. It broke his windpipe and he lay dead on the brothel floor. As the magician often preformed tricks, moving his hands so fast it seemed like it vanished. So too did the air vanish from his shallow lungs. -1 to the foe's spellcasting.

Do the avatars need to be human, or would an angel be a possible avatar?
You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I get and beat you with until you realize who's in command around here.

Well well, looks like we have some interesting sheets rolling in! I see no reason to restrict people to playing humans, though it hadn't occurred to me that anyone would want to play anything other than a human or furry. Your character would still be one of the "PC" characters, a Champion of the Gods, but sure, a six eyed succubus demon or an angel should be just fine. Just try not to get too wild and crazy and we are all good.

Reaper, you are entitled to three 'unbonused' pieces of gear if you want them. While they don't add to a roll, they are useful to have. For example, have a prisoner and want to tie them up? You might have rope in your gear. MiscChaos, you also have three pieces of gear available to you if you want them. Zender, same deal. As to Greg Spade's sword, I'm thinking as this game progresses I'll probably allow people to level up their characters. When that happens, since your sword is built upon the will of the wielder, I think I'll allow you to spend your 'level up points' on the sword if you so chose. We'll figure it out as the game goes.

Name : Melancholia, Adellia Reinings
Concept : Fae - An extremely rare and elusive race graced with great beauty in the world of Altera. Fae have the ability of flight for limited periods of time, using their natural aerial advantage to evade their enemies and rain magic on them from below. That being said, players still tend to avoid using the Fae as they are very frail and cannot take much damage, leading to easy defeat if they get trapped in an unfavorable situation.

Equipment : Faefire Lantern (As shown in picture) - Lit by the magical fire that only Fae can conjure, this special bronze lantern casts a revealing light upon those that would hide themselves in hopes of getting close enough to ambush the holder of the Lantern, illuminating their bodies if any of the light touches them. Grants +2 to Detection (Or finding hidden enemies, I dunno!)

Fae Silks (As shown in picture) - The clothes worn by the Fae are incredibly lightweight, allowing for unrestricted movement. Grants +1 to Evasion.

Name: Kayleesa (Ashley Nolan)
Race: Angel

Concept: Magehunter: A warrior-based class designed specifically for making the lives of magic users extremely difficult, a magehunter utilizes abilities that come in the form of anti-magic. With a slightly higher natural resistance to magic than all other classes, magehunters can also channel the energy of anti-magic into multiple forms. Whether it comes as a shield to stop an incoming blast of magical energy, a lining on their weapon to cut through magical defenses with ease, or something else that the energy can be channeled to, the magehunter class is the most effective answer to any problem with magical energy as its source.

Appearance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Might: D8
Cunning: D6
Charm: D4

Equipment: Holy Avenger: A sword granted to angelic knights upon the completion of their training, the Holy Avenger is a marvel of craftsmanship. Created individually for the knights, each sword is tailored to the individual’s balance, grip, and ability and increases their ability in combat. Kayleesa’s sword has a blade made of white metal that falls into the category of a hand-and-a-half sword, and above the grip is a hilt that holds the design of an eye in the center of a silver crossguard. The eye is made in immaculate detail with a blue iris and is present on both sides of the hilt. (+2 to combat rolls)

Negation Gauntlets: A pair of gauntlets specific to her class, the Negation Gauntlets are made to assist in the channeling of anti-magic. They allow a magehunter to come one step closer to mastering their negation abilities without actually needing to do anything. Every pair of negation gauntlets look the same, appearing to be a dull silver, and unless worn by a magehunter have no use whatsoever. In the hands of anyone else, they would be a simple pair of metal gauntlets, and interact with nothing besides anti-magic. (+1 to anti-magic channeling, if that would be necessary. If not, I’ll change it to something else.)

Misc Equipment: Angelic Armor: Considering the fact that angels have wings, standard armor cannot be made to fit them. A piece of armor with two slots on the back for the wings to extend through are a necessity, but also need to be done in a way that does not sacrifice defensive capabilities. Kayleesa’s armor accomplishes this very well, the opening for wings barely any larger than the base of the wings. Of course, that makes the armor slightly more difficult to put on and take off, but the tradeoff is acceptable. The armor is full-body and white in color, with a golden eye emblazoned in the center of the chest. It is typical for a piece worn by Angelic knights, weighing in at less than a suit of full-body metal plate but with nearly as much protective ability. As one would expect, it is light enough to allow her to fly without trouble.

Belt pack: A small pack attached to a belt around her waist, it hangs off the back and contains a few useful things, such as bandages, potions, or anything else that can fit. It is made out of leather and is quite durable and sturdy. Also attached to her belt is a small metal tube that contains an extremely detailed map of the surrounding area with a magical cartographer's quill that always has an ink-coated tip. Kay makes sure to add anything new to it that she comes across so that it remains up to date as much as possible.

Innocent's Rampart: A buckler with a spike on the front made special by him for combat. Not believing in other weapons and rather using his magic in cases where his shield doesn't work. His shield gives +2 to combat rolls.
