MC Medieval RP

Throwing this down to see how people feel about a non-erotic RP carried out through Minecraft.

One of my concepts for the RP would include lycanthropy, where one or multiple people would be chosen at random every night to become a werewolf. PVP of course would be allowed, but I'm not sure how respawns would work; would people die and have to create a new character/join the town as a new visitor, or would they come back as their previous character through some plot point?

For anyone who's interested, it'd be cool to hear more opinions about how to improve mechanics and make it more interesting.

No, there won't be any sexual content as it's planned. As this is entirely in the planning phase, it's still a distinct possibility.

One thing to ask; how much of the game content should be centered around NPCs, should it be in adventure or survival mode, should there be a focus on wide adventuring or on townskeeping?

If there's a townskeeping focus, would nightly spawn waves add interest, or be a contrived mechanic that takes away time from character development?

Would a medieval timeframe make the most sense, or would it be more interesting to leave the character's identity up to the RP'er?

As this would be my first organized free-form RP, I would like as much feedback as possible, both to create this and to give me a better idea of how to RP in the future.

I'm actually kinda interested in what you have planned..will we be playing out this RP through Minecraft itself? And I'm not really an avid player of Minecraft, but I know about mods and all that and can you actually make what you mentioned work in the game? o.o.

All right, sounds good.

Icaelus: For what I have down on paper, I can make solutions with minimum (arbitrary) player cooperation using only vanilla elements. There's also Bukkit, requiring no mods from the players, and of course jar mods which would require some setup.

That_One_Guy: It's nice to hear that you're interested; I've started thoroughly testing some mechanics which highly influence the possibility of making some mechanics. Thus far, I've found some more options than I'd previously thought existed, so it looks like all I've planned and more might be possible. When I get more planned, I'll put more into the OP.
