Ya we're doing this on skype because i said so.
In the world of Skype topia, the world is nearly completely covered in water expect for the islands that float on the water.
All the island have different cultures and different sub humans on them but for the past five days, ten islands have been dragged to a pillar of light.
Around the pillar you see a lot of steam and the water level sinks down. All the islands are 500 ft away from the pillar but aren't moving closer. It's rare to see another island but ten is unheard of. On day 2 all the islands sent out boats to examine the light but you've lost track of them, they are considered dead. You've all decided to follow on day five; you've bought or stolen a boat and sail to the light only to lose control of your boat and be pulled in to the light. When you all awake, you remember seeing stone chambers of a unknown race.
You have a feeling The events unfolding now are relating to the great shattering.
Combat will be done by what i feel is right. Each character will wake on a beach. It will his races island's beach. None of the other islands have made contact with eachother and if anyone knew your were going out to the pillar, they might think you are dead... Most likely. Also it is unlikely that your island has met the other islands before. This means you might be shocked to see what other sub humans look like. Now your island has run in to some islands with other sub races on it so there is still the chance that you wont be shocked or scared.
Your object should be contacting the other islands or Finding out what the light is. It would also be a good idea to contact the other players.
If you are: creating a new sub race like "Furry" or "Furry foxs!" then you must fill out a Race sheet.
Subrace: is the name of your race. I expect them to be somewhat human.
Island name: is the name of your island... DUH
Back story: lets you give your island some flavor but isn't required. The information might not be historically correct however. This is basically myth and legend.
Possible other races: basically do you want other playable races on your island. Just says true or false
