Hey, I need some help. I can play the files when they are on the site, but not when they are downloaded. I'm not sure if it's a matter of getting the right player or what, so any suggestions?

Just right-click on the file (.swf), Open with and then if you see your webrowser in the list choose it otherwise you need to click on choose default program and open the tab for other programs. If you can't find your webrowser there either you need to browse for it. If you don't know the location of your your webrowser (.exe not shortcut) you just need to right-click on your webrowser shortcut, click on properties at the end of the list, go to the tab shortcut and to the side of target you'll see the location.

.fla files are the uncompressed project files for flash. You need to have a flash development program to open and/or manipulate them.

Maybe I am confused on what you are asking for. If you want to open Flash Project files, you need... Flash
