SWF/HMTL5 times they are achanging flash to adobe animate

Hey folks, I had talked to an old teacher of mine talking about how SWF is a dying format from Adobe. However flash is not dead, it's now called Adobe animate and there are ways to convert your old SWF files into the new format coming out. I just wanted to know everyones discussions on the changes and how people would feel and how many didn't know about the future of flash. I like to get a good insight to everyones thoughts.
