Russian Witch Trainer(Full English Translation)

Hi guys, I have been lurking around these forums for a really long time and I felt that it was time to give something back. So 2 days ago I started translating the latest GitHub commit for the Russian Witch Trainer that another person has done some bug fixing on to make it more stable. As of this moment I have 60 favors left to translate along with 5 more scripts for the newspaper and about 6 or 7 small scripts for Daphne and then I will be uploading it to MEGA and posting it here for anyone that wants to play it. Some parts of the translation will be stupid and out of place due to some things just having no chance of translating properly but I did my best which will still be legible since bad grammar irks the shit out of me.

I haven't got a clue what the "Witch Trainer" game you're talking about might happen to be, but I guess I shall find out.
I'm always happy to have people making competent translations to porn games, and thus increasing the likelihood of my enjoying something I might otherwise never see.
...Well, how happy I am depends on whether or not I like the game at all, I guess, but still, good luck with that.

Witch Trainer is a Ren'py game made by Akabur, it is a training game with Hermione Granger from Harry Potter as the girl that gets corrupted by Professor Dumbledore. The twist is that Professor Dumbledore is actually Genie from Aladdin and he switched places with Dumbledore after a spell went awry. It sounds convoluted but I think it's a really fun game, you just need Python to run it which is free to download. At the moment I am 3/4 of the way through translating the biggest script in the game and then I just have a few more small things to proofread and translate and then I can release it. I hope to have it released within the next 9 hours.

As it happens with Akabur's anterior game Princess Trainer, it was originally part of a very simple game called Magic Shop. A part of the fans were disappointed with the quality of the Witch Trainer game (it's a bit slow to start the fun part, more than a bit of grindy...) so there have been several attempts to fix it. That they have made or not it's debatable at this point.

Anyway, if you don't mind replaying when the next version will be released, I suggest that you play first Magic Shop to understand what the hell happened at the start of the other two games.

I remember when I played it, I thought I was doing something wrong, because it was just weeks of reading and checking that stupid cabinet with nothing happening at the beginning for what seemed like forever. It escalated pretty quickly though once you actually got into the meat of the game.

So apparently it's out.

I don't know if it's these same guys who've done the translation, but A translation is out, and one with only a few minor grammatical errors at that.

And apparently Witch Trainer is ... a fucking awesome game.

Didn't expect that.

Unfairly grading Hermione's papers ticked me off, but the rest of it was pretty fuckin' phenomenal, actually.

Played it twice, though it's a multiple-hour grindfest.

The grinding is ... somehow ... not that bad?


I don't know what all the endings are, but I'm happy.

Only thing I suppose I'll mention is that you should make sure to rummage through the cupboard until you have 2 healing potions.
The game doesn't tell you much about that until it's too late (and even then not REALLY) in a bit of fucking poor design.
And as far as I can see you plain old need them BOTH.

OH, AND FUCKING right-click to get to the menu where you can save.
The game does not autosave.
If you ever happen to lose a couple hours of work because you didn't know that, you are going to be an angry man.

RIGHT, now I actually have seen all the endings.
Obviously I'd rather go with ending 2 than with ending 1, but at first I didn't KNOW how to get to ending 2.
It's the public favours that are the key.

Or at least anyone have any info on the team making that russian version? Nothing happened after the 1.5.2. And it's a half year...
