A different breeder game

Hey, I'm looking for a (possibly) older game that was (may still be) around.
It was a rancher/breeder game with 8 or 16 bit sprites on the map ( Pretty sure with picture scenes for conversations)
At the start of the game you're given a farm with no monsters and you can work for different villagers depending on the time and day to make money, items, snoo snoo and what not.
There was a monster shop to buy monsters, and a combat system in the works. I cannot find it or recall the name of it, I played it some time last year as it was still in progress.

Does anyone know the name of this game and could enlighten me?

Monster breeder i think. I've played the updated one quite a bit recently. Sort of, but i'm pretty sure that's what it's called.
