Critics wanted!

Postby Grape_Drink » Sun Aug 24, 2014 11:52 am

Looking for a set of critics to skim over some content. Not testers. Critics. Story critics, grammar Nazis, mechanics critics, and similar folks are preferred. Art critics are welcome, but will be less appreciated as there isn't much that can be done in the art department at this time (that being said, music critics may enjoy this). I'm looking for three or four folks to go over stuff. Not a first-come-first-serve basis (not trying to be mean guys, just the way it is with this one).

Give me a heads up in this thread or via PM if you're interested. Will send the details to applicants via PM in hopefully about three or four days from now.

Application format (There is no format. The real format is however you choose to send it to me  )

Critiquing skillset focuses-
Koalafications (*Ba dum tish*)-
Previous Critiquing work-
Why you're the badass of all badasses (or something like that)-
Essays longer than a page will be trashed (because as serious as I'm making this sound, it's really not super-serious... OR IS IT!? )

EDIT: This is in no way related to any of my previous projects, some of which may or may not still be in development.

So, hold on, does this mean that the items you are seeking critique for are of the shorter variety? Not applying just yet, I've already got a bit on my plate.

Yes and no. As of now the items I'm seeking critique of have anywhere from 20 mimutes to an hour's worth of stuff to look over (depending on what folks are critiquing).

The goal is to make the thing in question as solid and fluid as possible. I'm taking a traditional two genres and doing something (that I consider) unique with them.

I was wondering where you were this entire time.
I'm wondering what kind of content you need help looking over, so I can see if I'm of any use/ useless for this.

Goodness, for being a Grammar Nazi, you sure do like to ignore the commas!

Wait, are you pulling me into this as your aide?

Pretty sure it's supposed to be "Not this shit again," and anything that's a 2 deserves to have the title "Electric Boogaloo."

Well, there's a kind of sort of payment in a non-cash form, though some might take more interest in it than others.

-Is font size calculated?

Font size? Bah, word count is more important in those matters!

I'll send off the stuff via PM by Friday at the latest. Got to write up some explanation junk so I don't look completely incompetent/fix a few things first lol.

I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi. I don't really have any past critiquing experience, but I have an A grade GCSE in English Language... that's got to help a little? Other than that, I develop my own games and am competent in two programming languages.
