Hey, who called me?
I can give you part of the source (not everything because... It has tons of copyrighted materials from contributors whom I promised not to share). The source is also big: more than 300mb. I also dont like the possibility of someone downloading them all then changing the game directly, because I dont know the end results, and this can reach wrong hands. We also know there are bad people around the world who just changes everything then put their names on it. We (the PUT team) had sad moments when we detected three sites using decompiled sources and even a porn site that just put a SWF there without asking me (gamesofdesire.com). They erased my comments there and ignored my emails. That really gave us a bad feeling that , even working in a freeware game, people just want to grab everything (and make a salad of it) like they have rights to.
They dont know (or dont care) how negative this can be to the developers like me. We end up sad and less interested to make even better games of that type.
But I can give you the FLA of the prototype. The idea is to make developers around the world who loves LOK to extend the game the way they want, because I like the idea of reuse and creativity. Why reinvent the wheel? My code is not perfect, and I code in AS2. Sometimes I use wrong variable names, etc, but well, it works, and its much more organized and commented than in the beginning (I based MIM PUT on Playshapes version). I use this prototype to make levels and enemies. When I update the main game engine, I update the prototype too. But I need to update it and fix some things on it in order to make the pause screen work, making it more changeable. The current situation is a prototype without any menu, just for me to test bugs and scenes faster.
The idea (soon!) is to make a thread about all things I did (art, levels, scenes), be it one by one or a bunch of them (like all made goomba scenes in a given FLA). I also want to share the current Peach model used, but without newer clothes due to the copyright above. Those art (as well as the prototype) will be licensed as GNU, that is, you can do everything with them but not sell them, because that beats the purpose of working on them in our free time to share with the community.
Glad you liked the game
