This is a question mainly for moderators- why don't we have a section for literature/fanfics? I'm not talking about role play, I'm talking about stories written by one person for the masses to read.

I'd personally say there just isn't enough content or active content for a request.
Ren gave a good argument for why things are with the Flash section.

How many projects do you think would fit into the section to start with? 5? 10? you need at least 25 for a page.

Not trying to put you down, it's just that i consider you need 3 things to pretend to make everyone happy.
1 you need enough threads for your new section.
2 you need enough threads for the old section.
3 you need activity.

now that's my minimum requirements of what i think you need to need a new section.
1 you don't have enough threads in by back of the envelope math i'm doing. I'm thinking 10 threads max and that's with you looking at the archive. if there was something like 15 threads on the first few pages i could see this working.
2 you have enough threads for this part to work.
3 just isn't much activity. I bought a argument for RPG maker section and for that we had a general usage of RPG maker threads all though the course of the forum and to add on to that, we also had something like 13 active RPG threads.

Yeah I suppose you're right. The rpg maker section is thriving, there's no doubt about that.

I'd do literature, but I'd probably post it in the 'Creative' area under 'non-flash' until a lit area is made.
