Intro

Hello

I know you my not know who I am or well any thing about me.
But I am a very active member on your forums enjoying the
creative games you all make and the friendly community you
have here. My name is DementedZombie I Graded High school 2012
and have taken two year's of 3D art one year of photoshop
and two years of game designing. No don't look at me like
some hot shoot coming in acting like I know what I'm doing
I'm here asking for help. I'v never posted a flash online
before and the programs I was trained in where outdated when
we started using them. After school my father talked me out of
game designing telling me there's little to no money in it. and
you need to retrain yearly as new programs ext come out.
So I became a Plumber Sad I know But It pay's well very well
and it never change's.


Why I'm here.

I am Intrested in makeing a sim dateing game Off my little pony.
I don't know truth fully what you will say to this me as a
outsider and to boot a brony. Seeing how there are so many
diverse things on this fourms I'm hopeing for the best.
But It's better to be shoot down now then Half way
throw the project If your still with me And don't want
to kick me out for the brony thing I'll move on to where
this idea came from and the project. I got this Idea one
day siting in school learn about hydronics aka In floor
heating and a lot more. And It was scratching at my mind
I jotted down my idea on paper hopeing to get them out
of my head So I could focus on class. As you can see by
me being here It did not work.


Project

I have barrels of experience in "photoshop" "ImageReady"
ImageReady Was the program I was hopeing to use to make the
game. As I have said I was trained in outdated programs
so I can only guess that ImageReady is out dated it self.
What kind of program would you suggest for me to use from
the Building stage to the lunching Stage. I'm more then willing
to take the time to find sources that can teach me to use a
new program. I have a lot of notes of the project I just
want to work on one Sim "Pinky Pie" for the start of the
Project That should cut the work load down and make a good
template for use on all the rest of the sims. My first thout
for the project is to have it still frame with the text box
changeing and the sim on screen changeing from still image
to image to expresss her mod this kind of thing Has bin done
many times before in other sim games.


Modivation

As of right now this is just other Attempted to Get this off
my mind so I can go back to studying. But after my schooling is
over I will have more free time then I know what to do with
and I still do have a love for building games.
so there a fair chance I my dig in to this project if I get
support. I played a game on new grounds its what this Idea is

It Would like to do this with a better story line better
art and well over all more.

Now for the porn part of the game.. I got notting.. Notting at
all.... help.. I don't want to just throw images at them.


legal Stuff

As this would be my first video game quote on quote pass'ed of
other person and off a TV Show Are there any prommisons
and permission from The TV Show or the quote on quote game
its base'ed off. or Any other legal crap. Like using
images off google off the TV Show as a background Would
that create problems.

I don't have any experience with coding, and I am terrible with art. I am willing to learn coding, though, so if there exists a portable version of AS3 I'd be very much interested in being on this project.

If this would be non-flash, I'm not sure what to do - I can't install stuff like RPG maker because I don't have admin rights on my computer. (It's not a long story, but I don't feel like explaining the details while having to translate from Norwegian.)

I think you will not need AS3 for the games like this. And if you do not code on it before it will just slow this game creation progress.

I think the game on the link of this post creator: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/598754 was made on as2 as well. But may be i am wrong ofcourse - but in old times there weere a lot of games like this one based on AS2.

May be some old version have some trial version that works with out instalation - try to look some macromedia flash versions - may be MX - before it becomes adobe flash - i do not think that adobe have some portable versions.

You will not need hard programming skills if you will do it on as2 - may be some gotoAndStop(); commands and events that starts on the button click.

May be some if(){} constructions. So you can for example look in this way.

Why does it have to have porn?

Yeah most sim dates have smut in them somewhere, but here's my philosophy, if it really doesn't add to the story, why include it?

Also you said you have a lot of experience with adobe, care to post some examples so we know what to expect visual wise?
