Super "Smash" bros 64

Okay so anyone who's played the Nintendo 64 probably remembers playing Super Smash Bro's, right?
And I admit that I still play those old favorites on project 64, I mean you just can't let those memories slip away. And if some of you are wondering if I pirated the roms, I didn't. I own a working 64 and working games, so even if you download the same version game it technically isn't piracy. Then an interesting thing came along, homebrew games...
Homebrew games opened up a new opportunity, a new field of game creation...
Now this might sound crazy, but instead of creating a 64 sex game spoof on a system that isn't a 64, why don't we create a sex game spoof homebrew? Maybe even Smash bro's? Now I'm not much of a game creator, I do leg work, make music and gpacs for a simbrothel game, and fantasize about game ideas that I will most likely never see happen. But if someone were courageous enough to step forward and attempt then I would do all I could to support.

At the effort you take to just change the coding of the game you might as well have just made a game. For example I have done hacks for games like Torchlight 2, simple skin replacements. That project involved taking apart code to get a model to open in a separate 3d software to redo the texture file which had to be recompiled with another program, and then that had to be re-hacked into the game. The whole effort took several months with 3 competent programmers. Essentially if you don't have the skills to do just the skin hack everything else will be ridiculously hard by comparison.

Ya um the 64 doesn't have the GPU power for the newer smash bros textures. I could maybe see doing a reskining on melee with brawl graphics but that's questionable and well...... I that would require reprogramming the graphic engine. Also i'm sure what Thae described was illegal if the story is true in at civil court so just think about what your doing.

Never mind then, I didn't know it would become a legal issue. What if we just made a version for pc and changed the name a little?

Yep. Wouldn't do that if I were you, though I don't think any company would pay attention to such a low profile production. Pretty much the same as Babysitting Cream, illegal as hell, but it will never be blocked (unless SOPA randomly turns up again), just because the costs of blocking it do not weigh up to the profits turned out of it. Keep it free and no-one should be nagging you. Well, most of the time.

This sounds like an interesting concept. Illegal as hell as it stands, but, you could just try making a new one like Thaedael said (at least, that's how I'd interpret it).

Provided its a parody, a freeware fan game, like an 'experiment' , I see no problem.

You don't want the head ache of learning how to do what ie asked then figure how to make it a parody.

What I said when I was a moderator was to the fact he had linked not only to the fan made version, but an emulator site with roms as well.
