Ghostie - A sex-ghost story

So... I wanna start off and do a puzzle-adventure porn game, I am working on the basic mechanics and I really don't know where to start from. I have a vague idea of the story, but nothing of the type of adventure game/puzzles I want to fit in.

Any advices?

So you say you're making a puzzle-adventure porn game with a ghost. Possession of objects could be a mechanic that leads both to puzzle aspects and porn aspects. As the ghost would (likely) be nonphysical to possess objects, the question arises of what the puzzles would be, and to what end the ghost would be solving puzzles. Is he/she finding the secrets to his/her own death? Is it trying to save its lover? Is it trying to save the world/smaller area? Is it simply trying to escape an oppressive force? These goals drive the puzzles.

Good luck with the game, there's a lot of potential in what you're doing!

So i suggest you take a page Beatles juice and have the character trying to scare off people from her home or once was home. Now the people can't be scared off the normal way but they have a major distaste with sex. It's also a good idea to limit the player in some way like having a black candle lit will prevent the player from moving above or below them you might need to do something like push a block into them to knock them over or cover up the light it admits.

Have you ever heard of the game "Ghost Trick"? It's a DS title that starts you off as a ghost. You have the ability to possess objects (Ghost) and then do effects with some of them (Trick). It's pretty interesting. How would this transfer to a porn game? Well, the 'tricks' could obviously be porn-related: Dildo's, vibrators, or even common house-hold objects. The only problem with this is that it is difficult to come up with a solid idea that allows for actual sex scenes and puzzles.

But yeah, as Zeus-Kabob said, make it so the ghost can possess objects and move them around.

So, here's the idea :

A cute ghost is haunting a mansion, because her ex-demon-but-she-didn't-know-boyfiend cursed her, and she's been told that she'd live forever alone as a ghost, in this house. But now, as in Beetle Juice (thanks for the idea), a couple buy the manor and move in. The ghost will then try and "convice" them to stay : the goal of the game will be either to become a physical being once again, or to make the couple stay, as the ex-evil-demon will try and make them go away (by scaring them). Many endings will be possible with this kind of story, making the game more interesting.

About the puzzle-side, now. Maybe puzzle the way to orgasm ? Would it be fun? I was quickly bored by all those "slowly-fast-hard-cum" porn scènes in 99% of the games, so do you think this would be a good alternative?

I would also like to add in some litterature-like questionning. Maybe a porn adventure game talking about a porn adventure game? The couple could play games like this on their computer, or something like that, and there could be a reflexion on this kind of game (though I don't want it to be frustrating; the goal here is to make the user have fun).

So. What do you think?

I think any thing can be good if enough thought goes in to it. I was thinking of having a family as pruds that are horrified at the. Word sex.

Update on the idea :

Along the quest, Ghostie (btw, its a temporary name) will find supernatural magic powers (carnal magic or something like this) that she will use to turn on the visitors. This would be the puzzle-part of the game, where every new skill she learns will be represented as a simple shape, and to perform her magic, she will have to draw complex shapes, requiring many different basic shapes. Something like this :

Where the white represents the empty drawing space, blue representing what must be filled, and pink showing what was already drawn using the "Carnal Shapes".

In order to complete a scene, Ghostie would have to use the correct item from her inventory, and succesfully draw the shape (thus making sex-scenes a puzzle-like behavior; with something like a timer to complete the shape or a maximum number of shape placement to succeed, I don't know yet).

The only thing I don't know yet is if a superposition of 2 triangles will turn it off (back ot blue or pink) or leave it lit on (pink). I will probably add 1 more color for telling if there is pink where there should not be.

As I've begun the work, I've got to have a title (even if its temporary) for the game and I don't have a single idea. Maybe something like a parody title of beetlejuice (I'm sure there's something to do with the "juice" part of the title).

Anybody got an idea?

Surely, we could come up with some great ideas, but there isn't very much to go off of right now. The game is in such an early stage that it is difficult to know what you are going for. So, I propose you just give it some placeholder name right now and change it once the game is a bit bulkier.
