Artist Offering Talent

Postby Nookie » Mon Oct 01, 2012 4:17 am

This is a stretch, but I guess I'll give this post a shot. By the way, I mostly lurk on this forum. ;)

I've been interested in making h-games for a while now and I'm looking for a programmer to help out on creating a game; sorry I can't show much since I don't have a set idea on what I want to make yet; I was hoping that I can talk with a programmer about a game that we would like to work on.

I came up with this pretty quick just to show what I can do in a short matter of time
Image

The animated sprites are from this game: http://projectx.creatuforo.com/ (these are some of the animations I've made)
Currently the group behind this game is taking their sweet time on it...it's kind of hard working with them since they don't update me much...

Furry Warning
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

In the long run, I hope that I can have consistent partners to make h-games and hopefully publish the games here: http://www.dlsite.com/maniax/

For the types of games I want to make, I want to explore other game ideas and would like to create original work that may sell (project x is fan-based so the group can't sell the game). I also would like to do more than just make another RPGmaker based game or visual novel.

I noticed that this forum is dedicated to the Legend of Krystal games and the mods that came out of the game engine; I prefer to work on original stuff...I feel I can't do much with fan-based work. I do have some preferred fetishes if anyone is into certain fetishes; send me a PM and I'll give you a list of my kinks.

I hope to see some interested people who has the skill and the desire to make and finish a h-game; I see myself working on a h-game on a somewhat decent pace

I want to call bs on you, but I won't. Pengirl (also a forum member, as well as the forum manager) is the one that did the animations for project X IIRC. Though I have been wrong in the past.

Well trust me dude, I made those animations...ask the lead of the game herself; yeah, I asked Zeta a couple of times on how the game is going and was offering to help again, but it's hard to talk to her. :|

Wow you worked with the people for project X? Thats sweet.

I posted a thread about the new updated version of the game like 3 weeks ago actually. If you're looking for programmers, hmm...lets see. Well they could all use help but not sure if any wants to work in teams. Gorepete, Corta, Ivanaedler, Humbird0, etc. All will gladly accept artists but some may prefer to work alone. If you honestly made those than I'm sure they would accept your help.

Thae no need to be so harsh. When it comes down to it, we'll see if he really did make it or not. Theres no point in lying just to end up making something stupid and getting laughed at. If he really made it then we'll see.

Yeah, but I'm willing to help again; what's wrong with that? I usually get updated like the rest of the people in the forum. Pen barely even talks to me either... :|

I think those guys like to work alone...that's fine. :P But as for me I want to stay on top on the art side...the most I can do in terms of programming is drag and drop code modules on gamemaker. I'm not lying...play the recent version of project X and check out the credits.

Well I just got a pm from a project X member. Apparently there is a DNP (DO NOT POST/DISCLOSE) on all animations from their game, and asked for it to be taken down. Ask for Zeta for permission before showing those please.

Well I know for sure Ivan wouldnt mind the help of an artist, and humbird0 does the whole furry thing and would gladly accept help if you showed him something good.

The other two seem lonewolf as it is haha.

Try to slowly work your way in. Show them what you can do before they can trust that you'll be able to work with them. Its all lonewolf these days due to trust and dedication issues...but ya know thats life.

Hmm, I think you can import the AVI format into Flash itself.

You worked on "Project X"? That sweet! I love that game! I noticed Zeta and other game developers like to take their sweet time between versions. Is it becuase they're busy with other stuff or they're just torturing the fans with time between each version?

Even a simple think like adding a heath bar could take weeks to add to a game. Just think about it this way, if adding the require code alone adds 5 new bugs, then what's the keep your 5 new bugs when fixed, making 5 more bugs each.

Sure, stuff like that is normally becuase of bad programming practices but it can still happen to the best of us. Also i bet pixel art take forever to create for these people. Like a day at least per frame.

Yeah, I mostly provided the rape animations. I'm also busy with other stuff, but I manage to squeeze in some time into something else. I think the Zeta Team prefers to work slowly, so I figure I should work on another thing, but a somewhat faster pace...and it's an original idea.

For pixel art and animating them...it depends on what the animation is about. Tiles don't take that long to make, but animations do take some time to get right. The rape animations do take the most time.

I might be interested in offering my services, but first I'd like to know what kind of games you had in mind, or more specifically, what kind of gameplay mechanics you're interested in.

Most of my experience is with Java and C\C++, each of which I have about 3 years of experience with, but I have worked with flash enough to know my way around, if that's what you intend to use.

Hi there Nookie,
I've been reading your post and I like the way you think about many things.
For example, the fact that you prefer working on original stuff and on something more than a visual novel or an RPGmaker based game.
I'm new to this forum but i've been following it since playshapes, and i've seen a lot of porn games out there while I was growing up, looking forward for the day that I could finally make my own one.
We may want to work on the same things, I'd like to send you a p.m. to talk about that but I can't actually.
To be brief, it happens that I'm in drawings too, and I'm starting to know a little bit of code ( a.s. 3); I'm working on an Avoider-like game right now, but it isn't porn.
If it turns out decently the next thing I'd like to do is an h-game with an isometric view and stealth-action mechanics, I'm going to open a post in the creative corner about it when and if I'll be ready to start a project like that.

Bit late to this conversation, but are we talking Flash vector graphics or raster graphics?
