Tutorials, noobie help blog? Nobody will be making money.

So I have been thinking of a way to get more tutorials on to the site and I think i’ve thought of a way(and i admit, there is a way for me personally to make money off of this idea, MUAHHAHA)(I'm not making money off this Idea, just a statement.)

First thing is get about 5 known and liked developers of LOK to make a tutorial (or a draft of one). I might have to emotionally blackmail them but that’s okay because i’m already emotionally bankrupt.
(User must be willing to have a blogger account ... or have a go between) <- notetoself

We need a
1 Basic Flash Graphic Tutorials
2 Basic Flash Action Script (As much as i bitch about as2, i’m fine with it since we’re just getting people started.)
3 RPG Maker Tutorials
4 Game Maker Tutorials?
5 (fill in)

(Might be able to get thae to give a very basic pixel art Tutorial but I’m not sure if he really has time if he says yes and i have no clue if he would say yes. Must get 5 tutorials started before officially asking.)

The next step is to use blogger. We will use the blogger site as a testing ground for new tutorials and to generally have a back up. We will also not have a 18+ warning (this means we won't have to adult links or content). This is so it’s family friendly and people are able to invite their friends and family without being embarrassed about it. While we won't be able to link to LoK it might still get traffic from people checking out our development blogs and finding a link to LoK in there. hopefully you have a adult splash screen set up or tell people it’s a adult site in the post.

Since most developers on LOK use Blogger already (Part of the reason we would use blogger) , we will set up so all the writers can make a Tutorial post whenever they want. We will however, take in to account that some people will not want to make blogger account or don’t want to be connected to the blog in this manner. We will work out a way for them to give us their Tutorial and we’ll post it for them. They might have to give up credit on the blog and just be called “anom”.

All post on the blog would be posted on LoK, hopefully by the writer. The blog will serve as basically a drafting point for the less sexual Tutorials. The idea is to make the developers experience easier to get to for new members of LoK and this is the best way i can think of to get developers to open up more.

Now one could just follow the blog to get tutorials, but if they follow LoK then they get all the tutorials ever made on the blog and get the ones made from other sources.

I do plan on trying to get someone to write a post every week to keep activity up.
Is anyone willing to help with the idea or ever criticize it?

This idea you have is brilliant. There's probably people who want to make h-games, but can't find a way to develop them since some don't know how to code certain actions.

I think - that it will not be a big problem for me to make some tutorial (based on some thing that i already use) and post it on this forum for example. So i can try to make some tutorials. But about what they have to be ?

I don't like the part where you make money off of other people's work, unless they consent to it, as this is what all the sites people criticize stolen works do, and a big profit is what they make.

I opened myself up for that one.

I considered this a community project (not that i explain that real well) so I would value the input of the people who send in creative work. I had already thought that people would dislike putting ads on the blog since
1 I'm the only one getting money from it.
2 It lowers the quality and presentation of the work.
3 Legal reasons.
4 it's not going to boost my to much anyways.

I added that side bit to state that i was well aware that i could and people should know I could so they can't point fingers later.

I start to make the Ultimate FAQ - and post a; i think is usefull there (it will not be hard to understand - all is simple). I learn AS3 too long so i think some parts of it will be on it (for example 4) (and i hope with time i will translate it on AS2 too).

I think that it will be like :
(I hope to make it shot only the basics)
FAQ MAP:

1)Flash fundamentals

a)Basic movie controls
b)Conditions
c)Cycles
d)Base actions

2)Game theory.

a)Theory
b)Sapmles
c)Motion algoritms (make game based on other peoples code - without coding by yourself).

3)Site theory - how to make flash site.

4)Flash world - Chats / Flash and Java Script / Flash and PHP / MySQL/ txt / MMO and Chats on flash.

5)How to make / play flash games for Android.

Some thing like that - i will start to wright in viewforum.php?f=29

I am now thinking how it is better to do. So i think i will reserve 5 posts in one forum topic and try to post some thing

Programs for android (that are not from another platforms). I mean setup file

Like exe in windows - it is some thing the same for it

But it does not matter ;) There are a lot of lag so flash is better i think.

How about manipulation of the shape and lines and the possible ways to color the vectors.
I've got a basic understanding of flash so I can't ask for very detailed stuff with out pulling it out my ass like a i just did.
