Samurai Champloo : Fuu's Escape

Fuu sprite redone. completely original done by me =)
started work on enemies, but nothing solid yet. probably by tonight.

Sorry to everyone for the Amazing AF Race, I gave up after my comp crashed.
But anyways, onto a new title =)
This will be a game based on the short runned television show, Samurai Champloo.
The basic Premise is your standard Run or Rape game. (2D side scroller)



Fuu, whose only defense is her Tanto, tries to fight her way through the background of the SC series!
I plan on making a few enemies, and probably a boss or something.
so far i have a standing animation sprite of her naked, I'll do her kimono and smooth her out... eventually.

Fuu's last sprite was trashed, as it was just a place holder to see how to incorporate her moves and actions.

Now with any sprite theres still touching up to do.

Enemies will be foot soldiers, basic samurai, and i might throw in some weird shit idk yet lol
probably won't include Jin and Mugen, wouldnt know where to put em =/
So anyways, I'll make a running swf at some point next week so we can test her moving around!

Isn't that fapcom's sprite (slightly edited)? Either way I got a bunch of issues on that sprite, lack of definition on the knees, shoulder in the wrong area, not to mention her ready stance is horribly wrong in looks. That being said welcome to the forums and good luck.

LoL yeah it is, and I only put about an hour work in to have some sort of image up. Like I said I'm going to smooth her out probably today so she doesn't look so janky.

I like the old school simplistic sprites much more already, all you are missing are the pulsating random color backgrounds of a bygone era, made plausible with the episode where they burn down the mary-j fields and get high.

It's from the same maker, but it's a completly different beast.

Also, Is anyone else having difficulty seeing the images?

From what I know of Cowboy Bebop, they cater to completely different crowds... unless you're like me of course. xD
