I've been thinking about wanting to create a game for a while now. However, I have no experience. Can you give me tips for a beginner-friendly program?
The game should go in the direction of "Massive Chalice" or "Mordheim City of the Damned" (Or X-Com to name a more famous example).

the plan is to play a group of banished who have to fight against monsters, their banishers and other banished. In the process, build a settlement and gather resources.

the plan was to divide the population into heroes and workers. With the heroes, you can do the battles and the workers are passively collecting resources. the multiplication of both should be the NSFW content.

Later I would like to add different races.

How you doing on your project? Godot has some cool features, but steep learning curve. In truth, animation is probably the hardest part. For a learning project, check out humbird0's website and ask to use his animations as a placeholder just to get you going .... or even https://sanderfrenken.github.io/Univers ... =longsword ....
