Actually, Game Grumps has been playing a game that is a good example of what I mean. Whacky World of Miniature Golf. It's actually a very interesting timing/rhythm game with some clever humor, but when the Game Grumps play it, they have the expectation that it will work like the physical world, and they are immediately confused when it does not. Even when they figure out that the game is rhythm based, a few episodes in, it's still frustrating for them that it is not based in physics.
Compare that to their favorite game, Kirby's Dream Course. It is still a very inventive and unique game, but it is based on a semblance of physics that they can figure out and manipulate.
I don't want to discourage you from being unique and philosophical, but if you want to do those things, you need to do it in a way that people can understand and appreciate.
