Bad at Scripting

Postby RayneMan » Wed Mar 05, 2014 6:57 am

Ok, so i just got Flash. I haven't really ever used it before. i have a little experience with code, but it is very basic. So here is my issue i am having.

What i want to do is make my little ball move and stay bouncing. Also i would like the ball to recognize that it landed on something and continue to bounce.
the ball is animated by making it a classic tween and so on.

I am hoping that i can make a platformer with the ball bouncing continuously as my "gimmick".

any ideas on how to keep the ball bouncing with an a, d, <-, or -> keystroke?

I can point you to a tut that has a game like this, they include code and build the game class by class

http://www.flashgametuts.com/tutorials/ ... s3-part-1/

Also on the same site it a jingle bells clone tut, that has collision code to send the ball higher when you hit an object, so that might work for you game.

Hope this helps.

On phone and don't use as3 but i'd try.

first thing you should learn is how to position the object. so make a program where a shape goes from position x1 and y1 tp x2 and y2. then make a program where your location x is increase by 1 every moment you hold the button down.
