So some time ago i tried to start a project, designed to make LOK in a sense, a broker of free information. The idea was, that if we could get about 5 people on LOK to provide the information and tutorials on a set of topic then we could start a blog that this information would be added to, which would link back to LOK forums(for legal reasons, i think we might need to link to just "LengendOfKrystal.com"). The Tutorials would also be added to are Tutorial section before they get posted on the blog. This would increase the amount of useful information we have to teach people how to make games on LOK and allow us the peer check the tutorial before it gets released on the blog.
I'd like the start this project up again. The ways I see it, this is what will be required.
Tutorial on:
Flash animation,
Action script 2 (Enough people use it! Shut up, i still hate it!),
Action Script 3 (Not really required),
Vector art (Hopefully in flash),
RPG maker(One of them),
Now these tutorials obviously don't have to cover everything but hopefully enough that people can get started on there own.
I will not be super strict on the content, for instants if you want to make a tutorial on GameMaker, then that's up to you. I do however ask that you don't put anything adult based. That way we wont have to put a warning message on the blog and all ages can use the blog.
I think i figured out a way for people to make a blog post on blogger, and be able to get ad revenue. This however would not affect people that don't want adds in their tutorial. While i would like people to post a tutorial weekly, i don't think a lot of us have the time to really spare doing a tutorial weekly, so if you just want to make one tutorial and stop that fine, but i request that you keep the group informed about your plans.
