Soldeen huddles closer to Deliverance due to the cold, as well, her shivering making it more difficult for other girl to climb. when Deliverance comments on how the speech that was just heard is as real as not being able to log out, Soldeen looks more scared, on the verge of panicking. This doesn't prevent her from following Deliverance into the village.
Upon arriving inside the village, the two find that, much like the surrounding area, the inside of the village is also covered in snow several feet deep, aside from a cleared-off pathway of blue stone, which seems to resist the freezing temperature, remaining easy to walk on without slipping. The village is mostly a large assortment of igloos of various sizes, including several igloos constructed with signs outside to indicate that they have goods for sale. Along the pathway, at the very center of the village, is a large area which could loosely be described as a park, a large frozen fountain in the middle, with the same blue stone as the pathways being constructed to hold the now-frozen water inside. On each side of the fountain was a frozen area which probably at one point was supposed to hold grass and full-grown trees, however it was just more snow with benches on it. Traveling from place to place within the village were large snow-man-like creatures, and small snow-dinosaur-like creatures, all minding their own business, none of which seemed to have noticed either girl, likely due to the snowstorm raging in the area, making visibility incredibly low.
Deliverance puts a hand on Soldeen’s shoulder to try and comfort her, but with how close they’ve been since they’ve entered the area, it might not of come across. As Deliverance walked closer and got a better look at the village, she wondered if she should try and enter it or not. It looked like it was populated, but all she saw was digimon, and she had no idea if they were hostile or not. She wasn’t sure she wanted to take the chance though, as it looked like the area was abandoned with how all the structures were completely covered and frozen over. Looking at Soldeen, Deliverance grabs her arm and gently pulls her back away from the village then leans in close so she could talk to her over the wind of the storm. “I’m not sure what to do here, it doesn’t look like a dungeon, but I see no people, and so far no digimon I met has been friendly. We can go in, but we risk attack, and right now I only have the one fully healthy digimon from all the data I got from defeating those digimon in the pyramid. So regardless they need to be healed, so we can either risk getting the attention of the village, or we can get more intimate with our digimon which apparently heals them, as the person who designed all of this is quite sick. If you aren’t comfortable with it, I can see about doing it for you with your digimon.”
Soldeen visibly calms down slightly when Deliverance puts her hand on her shoulder, though she is still visibly shaken. She squeaks in surprise when Deliverance pulls her close, but doesn’t protest, simply listens intently when she speaks to her, trying to hear her over the snowstorm. When Deliverance suggests letting their Digimon screw them, she blushes and gasps in shock, her eyes widening. “I… n-no… y-you can, but I don’t w-want to do anything like th-th-that...” she stammers, her eyes shifting as she looks around for anyone that could potentially see them. She hesitantly takes out her Digivice, then uses it to summon Cimmeriamon, a black ball of energy firing out of the Digivice and slamming into the ground, kicking up snow everywhere. When the energy makes contact with the ground, a wireframe takes shape, which is then slowly covered by the texture of the Digimon. After the Digimon fully forms, it’s a short, humanoid creature in a black bodysuit, wearing black shoulder pads, a black lion-shaped helmet, black metal armored boots, and matching gauntlets, all with gold trim. As the creature looked around, its purple eyes flashed when it spotted Soldeen, at which point it kneeled down in the snow, and bowed to her.
Deliverance nods in understanding at Soldeen’s reluctance. She then stands back in order to let Soldeen take out her digimon, and once it appears Deliverance takes a bit of time to study with what she was working with. It was a lot more humanoid than the two she was going to play around with, though only a little more so. It looked very egyptian, quite fitting for where she found Soldeen she supposed. Deliverance then took out her digivice and pressed the two buttons that release The Divine Forteller and Divine Power. Divine power came out first, landing next to Soldeen’s digimon and looking a little worse for wear, seeming scratched up but otherwise fine. It looked at Deliverance and hopped a bit, as if waiting for orders. The Divine Foreteller came out next, landing near the other two as well. The wireframe looks strange at first, but then it becomes clear TDF was forming upside down, its little legs splayed out into the air. When it fully forms there were two large x’s where its eyes were before, and its large tongue was lulled out the side of its mouth. After a few seconds, the x’s are replaced with its actual eyes and its legs start quickly moving around in the air, however it can’t turn itself around so it moves around like a turtle, flopping from side to side. Deliverance then looks to Soldeen and smiles, then moves closer, a lot closer. Bringing her lips very close to Soldeen’s without actual touching them. “Well, if you ever feel injured we can see if it works with people too.” She says breathily. She pulls back and smiles, then picks TDF up and motions at the other two. “Follow me.” She states, Divine power nodding and following her along as she heads towards a line of rocks that should shield them from any view, as if the snowstorm didn’t do that already.
Soldeen blushes as Deliverance speaks to her, understanding the suggestion immediately. She doesn’t say anything, however, she only waits for Deliverance to pull away from her, then clears her throat “C-Cimmeriamon, follow her, please.” she says, motioning with her hand as she spoke. Cimmeriamon moves immediately, without question, following a short distance behind Deliverance, until they’re all behind the rocks, then he stands at attention, facing Deliverance, his entire body still as a statue, and his eyes locked on Deliverance’s own. Before fully passing behind the boulders, Deliverance can spot Soldeen moving behind a different rock for shelter and getting comfortable, messing with her Digivice.
(What everyone wishes their healer would do)
When Deliverance reaches Soldeen, she stands up quickly, while checking her Digivice as well. Both girls can see that their Digimon are fully healed. While looking at her screen, Soldeen cocks her head “Loweemon?” she says, quizzically, just loud enough for Deliverance to hear. She shakes her head and turns to Deliverance “S-sorry you had to do that...” she says, blushing as she puts away her Digivice, before asking “Are we going to go around the village or are we going to go through it?”.
Deliverance gives Soldeen a odd look as she mentions a ‘lowee’ but otherwise doesn’t say anything to that. As for her second statement, Deliverance just shrugs. “Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, it isn’t the first time I had to do something I would of preferred not to do and it wont be the last.” She then returns Divine Power back to the digivice and looks at the village. “Lets get the attention of just one or a couple and see how they react, we’ll go from there.” She says and walks to the village. Once she was close enough to be within visual distance of a pair, she then waves her arms around and makes slightly loud shouts at them, loud enough for them to hear but hopefully not anything else.
When Deliverance states that she’s going to get the attention of one of the Digimon, Soldeen starts to ask how, but by the time she does so, Deliverance is already waving her arms and shouting. It wasn’t long before one of the Snowman-like creatures perks up and looks in their direction. Upon noticing them, it slowly makes its way over to them, then starts speaking, in a lighter, higher-pitched and friendly voice “Oh, humans, hello! Welcome to Snow-Drift Village, how may I help you?” he asks, placing its hands on what would be loosely referred to as its hips. Looking over at Soldeen, Deliverance would see how surprised she is, her mouth hanging open, she does, however, quickly recover and lean over to Deliverance, commenting “It talked! The snow thing talked!”.
Deliverance immediately tenses up when she sees one of them notice her, getting ready for a possible fight. However it soon becomes apparent that it wasn’t going to attack her, yet at least. She was just as surprised as Soldeen when she heard it talk though, her eyes widening. She has to regain her composure for a few seconds before clearing her throat and continuing on “I didn’t realize some digimon had the capability of speech… So uhm, what’s the deal with this village? I don’t see no people around, and every digimon I’ve met so far has been hostile, so what’s going on?” She asks in that cheerful tone she always tries to put on.
The Digimon laughs “Yes, some of us can speak, and some of us are hostile, just like the humans that have come here.” he says, grabbing his belly as he laughs. “Come, please come inside, the weather out here is a bit nippy.” he says, motioning towards a nearby Igloo with one hand.
To say Deliverance was suspicious was a understatement, yet at the same time the idea of getting shelter from the storm was extremely promising. Yet, there was still something that needed to be addressed. “You didn’t answer my question. What’s the point of this village? Do digimon frequently make villages just for themselves? If so, why does it include things that look like they aren’t supposed to be there, like those frozen over benches and trees.”
The snow creature laughed again when she asked “Some Digimon do build villages, it’s quite nice being around other civilized Digimon, yes. As for the fountain, it looks nice, doesn’t it?” he asked, moving over to the fountain and waving a snowy hand over it. He then turned to another, similar-looking creature and asked “What do you think of the fountain, good sir?” the other creature laughed “Hohoho! It looks quite nice, good sir!”, they then both nodded at each other. Soldeen looked confused by the entire conversation and was just standing behind Deliverance as she questioned the Digimon. She leaned forward and whispered “They seem really nice… you’d think they would be cold individuals, wouldn’t you?” sounding really nervous despite the pun.
Alright, so the village was just here to be here she supposed, which was fair enough. It was… Comical really what was happening in front of her, it was so comical it was almost believable which only made her more boggled. If that was what they were trying to do they damn well succeeded, but so far they weren’t getting swarmed so that was a good sign. Deliverance looked around the village further, and decided to humor them for a bit longer. “What’s the shop here sell?”
The creature pointed its fist at the shop “That there shop, lil’ lady, sells wood, Blue Digibricks, fishing poles, and and sssalt.” he explained, and though he had no face, Deliverance could feel that he was smiling. Soldeen looked at the store as the creature pointed and whispered to Deliverance “I feel like none of those things are useful to us...”, she complained.
Deliverance nods at Soldeen, agreeing with her completely. “Well, we currently have no use of any of those items. We were just passing through anyway, so we should probably be going, right?” She says as she looks at Soldeen.
