Living on the Edge: Chapter 1
Rhea Rogue/MiscChaos
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

While sitting in her solid white padded Cell, in the early morning, Rhea would become acutely aware of strange noises outside her door. At first, it only sounded like an odd scraping sound, but after several moments of repeating several times, there were sounds of thudding and shouting.

After roughly two hours, the sounds finally die down, thudding noises begin repeating over and over against the door to her padded cell, however, there's no window for her to look through to verify what the noise is.

Viola Klein/RandomRoninKitten
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Viola had just finished showering and getting dressed, when her older brother yelled at her to get the newspaper from the driveway. She sleepily rolled her eyes, and proceeded to make her way out of her room, taking note of the fact that he sister had her door closed, and there was two sets of moaning that could be heard from her room. Well, some things never change.

She opened the front door and stepped outside, making her way down the driveway and picking up the newspaper. What annoyed her most about this wasn't the fact that she had to step outside, but the fact that her brother was the one demanding the paper, when he didn't even read it. Hell, nobody in the house read the morning paper, he just wanted to order her around.

In the midst of complaining, she was interrupted by the sound of a small horn being honked behind her. Not the car kind of horn, but the bike kind of horn. She quickly turned 180 degrees, and was met with a strange sight.

A clown on a unicycle was heading towards her, and she had no time to get out of the way. The Unicycle plowed into her, knocking her to the ground, but luckily not rolling over her, however, after running her down, the clown quickly wheeled back around and began heading towards her again, and she could see that the clown's eyes were glowing red, and it was groaning and drooling. Something was seriously wrong with this clown, besides the mere fact that it was a clown at all.

Elizabeth Robinson/Mark3000
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Elizabeth was on her way to a called-in robbery, early in the morning, when suddenly a car rammed into her own from the side, 'T-Boning" it into a nearby traffic light.

Crawling out of the burning, flipped-over wreckage of her car, she finds that the driver of the vehicle, a white car, was climbing out of their own vehicle slowly. Once she gets a better look at the individual, she finds that they're drooling, and staring at her creepily.

That staring, however, quickly transitions to the individual slowly staggering in her direction and groaning. Despite the fact that they're staggering, judging from their movements, she actually can't tell that the individual is injured at all, but the red glow in their eyes makes them look somewhat hostile.

Luna Burns/LittleManKitten
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

From within her almost-mansion, Luna is going about her normal morning routine when her doorbell rings. When going to check and see who her visitor it is, she finds an blond-haired, slim individual at her door, wearing a red and black "Death's Bastard Suicide Machine" T-shirt, and a matching hat, while eagerly glancing around them. In his hands, she could tell that he was holding a camera and a marker, with a wide smile on his face as he waited for someone to answer.

Marisa Shiroma
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

It was early morning and Marisa had been leaving her most recent hide-out, an abandoned factory on the outskirts of town, the area now overgrown by woods, and was standing near a window as she re-dressed herself, when she could see that the entrance to the structure was in the process of being breached by a group of thugs, pounding on the door with sledge hammers. From her current vantage point, she couldn't tell which, if any, gang they were a part of, only that they didn't seem very friendly and had shown up in a somewhat sizeable group of 6, however, judging from the pounding on the back door, that probably wasn't all of them.

Luna sighed loudly and angrily when she heard the doorbell, couldn't she get a moment of peace? She checked to make sure her pocket knife was indeed in her pocket just in case the person tried anything funny, which had happened a few times before, then took a large puff of her vape and walked over to the door, looking out the window next to it to see who it was. A fan. As much as she wanted to ignore him or tell him to fuck off she knew it was usually easier and faster to just give them what they want. She swung open the door and blew the vape right outside, covering the area above him with its mist. She put her hand in the pocket with the knife and, with the scowl on her face that pretty much everyone knew, asked. "The fuck you want kid? I'm not in the mood for any games, so if you're here for my autograph I'll sign one thing!" She put up one of her fingers to hammer in her point. "No pictures, if you wanna jack off to my face you can easily look me up online... So what'll it be?" She asked, meaning what did he want signed.

"The He-" Elizabeth shouted as her cruiser was T-Boned by a wayward car.

She blinks checking her facilities, hoping that the driver of the other vehicle was okay. Looking up she sees the driver in question. But their presence just causes more questions for her.

"Sir are you hurt?" she said with a commanding voice. "Just stay there and I'll call for he...help" Elizabeth let the sentence trail off as she saw the individual stagger towards her. Their eyes red with intent.

Putting her hand over her gun holster, she raised her hand and tried to talk the person down. "Listen, there's no need for us to fight. Now stay where you are with your hands up or else I'll be force to use extreme members" She said, going by her police training to de-escalate hostile situations.

Marisa had awoken early in the morning as she always had, and set about her day, the only way she knew how. She first started by making herself a quick breakfast with a lot of meat, then got to doing a light workout as she waited for the food to cook. When it was done, she ate, finished her workout with a little heavier work, then took a shower. Then she came back out, picked out one of her outfits along with her gas mask, and got to dressing herself to take on the day. She was checking her calendar as she was, confirming her schedule for the day. She needed to go shopping to buy some more bacon and milk, she needed to head to the black market to get in touch with a contact she was buying some supplies and info from, and she needed to keep working on that old junker of a car to see if she can get it working. Fast transportation would definitely be nice to have, but she didn't have the money for a proper car.

She sighed, irritated at her less than comfortable situation. Her last hideout had been much more fortified and she'd have preferred to remain there, but the area it was in was recently closed off to the public, cutting her off from a lot of supplies, including her better weaponry. This left her with just her old baseball bat instead of a much more efficient Colt AR-15, or her M1911. Being without either guns left her feeling vulnerable and unsafe... paranoid, even, so when she spotted the gangsters coming for her door in the corner of her eye, Marisa was already ducking behind cover and grabbing her gas mask, slipping it on with the grace and speed of a trained professional.

6 at the front. Sounds like... maybe 4 or 5 more at the back. Unidentified hostiles? Armed with sledge hammers. Likely aren't in a big name gang... maybe the Red Redeemers found her out and Marcus wants her back. Likely alive in that case. Either way, she wasn't gonna stay to find out.

No careful fugitive would have a hideout without several ways to exit the building. The front door. The windows. The back door... and the roof access. The stairs were located pretty close to where she slept, so it was no trouble for Marisa to grab her bat and make a break for the stairs, not caring for subtly as she ran. If they saw her, it wouldn't matter unless they had a gun--and of that sort, she saw nothing. Once she's on the roof, she can lose them quickly once she hops down and makes a break for the woods.

Rhea is very used to hearing strange sounds at all hours. It's an insane asylum for fucks sake! The only thing more odd than random noises is complete silence. Which makes the hours between noises particularly worrisome. That the same exact noises pick up a few hours later only makes her more curious about what's going on out there. Alas, her cell only opens from the outside. Such is the problem with being in an isolated ward for violence, she supposes. Whenever she gets a visitor, there's always a second person to let her visitor in and out. That the visitor has never once been her family is something that should bother her she supposes, but well... her mother was always one step from joining her and her father-mother (her mother married a hermaphrodite) was always frightened of this exact thing. It doesn't surprise her neither would visit seeing as her in this place would be the culmination of their fears.

But she's getting side tracked. The noises are fairly close to her own cell, so she decides to stand on a side of the door just in case someone breaks in. If everything goes right, they won't see her until she's overpowered them and then she can decide what to do with them. Since she's decided that this will be her opportunity to escape, she goes ahead and breaks the sleeves of her straitjacket. She might need her hands after all.
