With the first jump successful Nikita feels more relieved and settles into her usual battle mode readying her rifle as the team of commandos she was with breach the enemy ship. Swapping the hard-light into it's armored mode she grabs a flash bang from her belt and tosses it down the hallway once she knows that none of the commandos on her squad are liable to be hit by it, though 2 of them already seemed to bite the dust as the Norian's seemed to know we were coming or just happened to be patrolling this part of the ship.

Pavor landed inside the ship, sparks flying from his metal limbs as he skidded to a halt. "Perdition awaits!" He said excitedly as he brushed the frost off of his blue vest before pulling out his flamethrower. Defense forces had already engaged their boarding party rather quickly, forcing them to take cover in a hallway while two commandos that couldn't find cover died rather quickly. It was a shame that they had to die so early in the mission but perhaps their deaths would embolden others to perform even better. As the rest of the extraction squad flew in one of the humans threw a flashbang down the hallway, giving Pavor the perfect opening to engage at his optimal range as well as allow his teammates to move up. "Engaging!" Pavor barked out before he began sprinting forward, feathering the flamethrower's trigger to warm it up and reveal his intentions. He began laughing as he ran forward, first quietly but then it became a sinister and uproarious sound as he closed the distance.

Once close enough, Pavor's eyes glowed red as he held down the trigger and sprayed all the aliens within range with the flamethrower. Fire was such a beautiful thing and interestingly almost universally feared. The heat stung at the skin, the smell of burning meat and other items incensed most into a state of terror if not irrationality. It was beautiful to watch and Pavor intently scanned the creatures for any valuable reactions he could catalog to analyze later. "I wonder if your organs will boil before your exoskeleton cracks from the heat?" He cackled as the sensory nodes on top of his head twitched erratically.

Risa had rather enjoyed the flight through space. Her enjoyment ended when they were inside the ship and under attack. She noted where the two commandos had fallen since she'd be collecting their dog tags and any useful gear they had. First they needed to take care of their attackers. Risa hit cover hard and watched the flashbang fly. Once it went off she watched Pavor move in with his flamethrower spraying. She fired at the far right guard. She aimed to his left side trying to force him to move closer to his teammates. She spoke into comms with a serious tone. "Force them to bunch up so Pavor can roast their asses. Pavor try not to destroy all their gear, it may come in handy. Prioritize your safety though."

The flight through space was tumultuous one, what with the space battle between the ships still ongoing. The debris in the zero gravity field floating by had to be dodged, but Sigma had been trained properly for almost any unexpected situation. She maneuvered through the broken parts of ships, timing her thrusters to pulse at certain times to push herself away from one or another. With the rest of her team, she landed on the ship after their "spacewalk" with her weapon out, AR primed and ready to shred alien lifeforms apart. She looked around her team to mentally take a role call, hoping all of the essentials survived the spacewalk. She was pleasantly surprised when they did.

Some of her nondescript teammates cut a hole into the ship, and one by one, they began dropping in onto the scene. She was one of the first few, wanting to get in as quickly as possible to assess the situation, and wanting to get out of space and into a ship - no matter how hostile. AR raised, she scanned the area for danger, spotting none as the last of her teammates entered in. They pressed on, with Sigma relaxing a bit, tension bleeding away at the sign of no nearby threats. It's not good for a soldier to be so actively aware 24/7. Makes them paranoid, and while paranoia can be incredibly useful in the most dangerous of situations; it can stain you, and everything you do after will be as a result of your paranoia. And despite how the movies would have you think; that's not good.

Two loud noises rang out, and two of Sigma's comrades were already dead as the defenders came up. She was already moving behind cover at the sound of the first, rolling to crouch behind a wall. It happened so quickly that those two probably didn't even have a chance. Just like that, their lives were snuffed out... but that was war. No one's immortal on the battlefield, and people can die anytime. Looking at the corpses, she was reminded of that. The flashbang and subsequent charge of one of the AIs brought Sigma back into the fight. She heard someone's orders over the comm link, but Sigma already knew what she had to do. She peeked, keeping her body low as she shot past Pavor at any enemy away from the group, aiming for body shots as opposed to anything special. Hopefully their sudden aggressive response would serve to break the enemy's composure.

Magnus got off to a bit a false start on his space jaunt. He was a bit more massive than the rest of the squad and the push of the escaping atmosphere wasn't quite enough to get him free of the airlock. With a good push from his hind legs, he was off and made some serious headway, catching up and boarding near the front of the party. He landed hard and skid across the metal floor barely stopping before toppling threw a few commandos. As the artificial atmosphere returned and sounds of battle with it, Magnus raised his shoulder mounted assault rifle and began to move up the hallway, behind the incredibly aggressive Pavor that was spraying flames as he went. He moved up as far as he could manage before stopping and lining up a shot. "Loving the enthusiasm there Pavor, but I've got a hunch this ship is fitted with a fire suppression system. Once we clear this hallway everyone fall in behind me!" Magnus targeted whatever the closest enemy was and fired off a quick controlled burst.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I'm assuming we can move up to our mobility score and then stand still and fire? I don't want to take the accuracy penalty for moving and shooting unless that always applies to a turn in which you have moved.

Ready for her first true taste of combat, Stefanie sprang with enthusiasm as she followed behind her comrades on the boarding jump. As she made her way towards the opening, she saw as a couple commandos had perished already.

Stefanie tried to keep her aggression in check, as she went to cover, looking to put the head of one of her does in her irons. She had been working all this line on her marksmanship, and would hope her aim is true.

Brigid curled her ears in and put her helmet on before being shot out into space towards the target. Despite her training, the AI was not prepared for the actual experience of flying through space. The silent vacuum of space doesn't take away from the various explosions peppering the Norian Stingway.

Once inside the ship, it doesn't take long for there group to run into opposition. Taking cover, Brigid could already see two Commandos had already been killed. A ting of fear entered the A.I as she saw their lifeless bodies on the ground. She was only knocked out of the stupor by the sirens. Getting top cover, Brigid focused on what she could do in the moment.

With Pavor and Magnus taking the lead, Brigid stayed near the back of the group and followed some of the other commando's cue. Raising her assault rifle, she took pot shots hoping to force guards into Pavor's path.

She had been through the simulators before. Time and time again, the sims did not feel like actually being jettisoned into the void. The hermetically sealed helm cut off all sounds from the outside. She wasn't the first one out, so she knew the smart option was to literally follow the one ahead of her. And that almost always worked out. This time, it held true, since she almost slammed into a sharpened slab of metal deviating from the group.

Infiltration was something that was either hit or miss. Not only did they all make it through the debris, they even got through the hull of the ship without problems. Aer expected to be drawn into a firefight already, but the hall they breached into was quiet. Keyword being was. Things got suddenly very loud and gory as two of their own was shot down. The teams had been split, but they still out numbered the enemy. First priority was getting herself to cover. Once she did find cover could she begin covering fire.

As you all take positions and open fire on the defending Norians, Pavor rushes forward met with the cries and barking of orders from the bat like people as they hunker down ready to get behind cover before the mad laughing metal man before thme can unleash the fiery death of his flamethrower. Most of the flames spreading around the cover they are in, hitting walls and metal containers they've thrown themselves behind to escape the flames. two getting caught before they could hide fully behind the flames, going up in flames as they scream briefly escaping their cover to pat themselves down only to be put out of their misery by Stefanie and Magnus, the armored bear firing one of it's mounted guns at the screaming mammals and silencing them forever while Stefanie manages to blow the head off of one of the wild screaming batlike creature. The Norian shout at each other in a panic in their own language before returning fire, hitting the walls around you, filling them with holes as they move to retreat backwards, hoping to create more distance and open themselves up to buying more time for their reinforcements to help them hold you. The fires still going, burning the air in the ship and crackling off of the flesh of the Norian soldiers as they lay dead, the fiery glow bouncing off of the shiny metal surfaces of the corridor. The two survivors fire at Pavor hoping to bring him down only for most of them to miss but one lands a hit hard enough to hurt even through his armor and metal body, punching him back hard enough that it hurt and sent him staggering back while the rest of you hit nothing but ship and floor unable to land a good shot. The squeaking of the Norian guards showing their distress as they move back into lighter cover though further from you,

While still behind cover, Brigid continues to fire upon the remaining Norian survivors. All the while she looks to Pavor with a look of concern. Truth the frightening android seems to be accustom to the front lines. But that just made him an obvious target. If the mission dragged on, he'd most likely be the one who needs her attention the most. When she could, Brigid took a moment to assess the state of her other squad mates. With an eye on her team, she focused once again on the enemy in front of her.

Pavor's body shuddered to a stop as internal systems alerted him to damage to his frame or as humans called it pain. At least it felt like what he assumed pain did, distracting synapses firing within his mind that also empowered him at the same time. Well, whatever it was the Norians would be feeling it several times over. His mechanical body lurched forward again, this time replaying the screams of the dying Norians on a loop instead of his eerie laugh. As far as combative psychological manipulation went this was a fairly common and endearing option of his, using the dying sounds of his enemies against them to stoke the embers of fear and panic. Two burning corpses was a good start but there were more to kill and analyze. "You'll need to run further if you want to outrun my flames!" He yelled after the Norians as he chased them down, holding off on pulling the trigger until he was in optimal range to liquefy their insides with raw heat.

Aer managed to pull herself to cover, a large metal container that gave her a sense of safety. No matter how much training they put into it, an actual firefight never went down like you would make it out in your head. Everything seemed to go smoothly, with no further kills on their side, and even a pair of downed combatants on the other side. However, it seemed the android who was not in cover had indeed taken a solid hit. Even though AI's were synthetic and could take punishment, a soldier was still a soldier at the end of the day, and every single one counted. So she focused on covering him, squeezing a shot at any opportunity.

Nikita curses as she misses her flash grenade, but seeing as her teammate was drawing their fire anyway it didnt seem like the weapon was much needed. Seeing them fall back she pushes forward following Aer so that she may take cover along side the bulkier woman to take pot shots at the two retreating Norian soldiers before they can get themselves situated.

Magnus kept advancing behind Pavor and chuckled as he walked. Well as much of a chuckle as his voice box could manage. He did have quite an organic sounding voice, but it tended to reverb a bit on low notes and peak out on the high end of the spectrum. He wasn't a huge fan of the taunting Pavor was doing. The enemies already seemed to be afraid, and the taunt was supposed to draw them in or make them engage. It sort of seemed like a contrasting approach. Regardless Magnus pressed on and opened fire when he got as close as possible to the next enemy.

Things were going better than terrible, but worse than good. Most of the team missed their shots (her included... teach would beat the hell out of her for making such an amateurish mistake), bad. Only two of their enemies are alive, good. Two of their enemies are alive still, bad. None of them died, good. Pavor-2 got shot. Eh, he's fine. Or at least he seemed to be as he charged back in again, throwing his flamethrower about. Still, it kind of looked like he was chasing them off, and distance made killing them all the more difficult. Bad.

Sigma sighed, then rushed out of cover to get behind the slowly moving panserbjørne that was Magnus. He was cover enough, and the advancing made it easier for her to get closer to their enemies while still remaining in cover. Less likely to get shot. She aimed down the hall again to take a few shots at the retreating enemies, making sure to aim carefully near Pavor-2 so that she didn't shoot him by accident.

Her heart began to race seeing the enemy's head come apart, Stefanie's intense training at the firing range having paid off, as the adrenaline kicked the young woman into gear. Noticing the enemy fall back, she would advance hastily to the next forward cover in range of the enemy and set up her shot. Maybe the enemy would stop to help out a friend? if so then taking one's leg out, the old sniper ploy, would be quite the play in this situation. She aimed for the legs of the one furthest up up the two cowards. Stefanie wondered not if she was sadistic, but if she was going to rip her targets leg to shreds. She took a deep breathe, and pulled the trigger yet again.

Risa watched the two fall and made some mental notes. The enemies were attempting to fall back, their entrance was very loud, and they were on a large ship. She followed behind the others as she spoke into comms. "Let's focus on moving towards our objective rather than chasing down scared soldiers and risking running into an ambush. How do we want to track this asshole down?"
Risa took a few pot shots before scanning the room for a computer console. She might be able to hack into the ship's computer system while the others kept the enemies busy.
