Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The last thing you remember is checking out a rather… seedy movie theater you heard of that offers insanely low prices for the latest movies. The theater itself was fine, beautiful even for the part of town it was in and the concessions were just as stupidly priced as every other movie theater out there. The difference, you soon learned, came because apparently a blind eye was turned to anything lewd going on in the theater. You count at least 9 different couples in various levels of dress and 4 random hookups happening before the room even goes dark. You’re not given time to think about leaving though because as the lights finally dim, so does your consciousness.

When you awake, you’re in a rather stately Victorian era gothic mansion of at least 2 floors. You’re not sure exactly what’s going on, but you do know that something is rather off. It could be the smell of smoke in the place even though there isn’t the heat from a fire to back it, it could be that occasionally out of the corner of your eye you see parts of the mansion turn into a charred mess. This feeling isn’t at all helped by the fact that the door, despite being directly to the left of you, will not budge no matter what you try with it. You see a fingerprint scanner, though it doesn’t make sense that something so modern is in such an old home, with a very weak red light over it. If you had to guess, there isn’t enough power going to the scanner to allow you to exit. You should probably find some way of powering that.

There are quite a few large pallets of wood nearby, one directly in front of the door and another ahead of you and to the right. To your right and behind you are the walls of the house, but you can’t see too far to your left since there’s a wall in the way. There’s another wall nearby with an open window through it though so you can always climb through that if need be.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Sometimes life just isn’t fair. You had the looks and talent to be one of the greats! You and your band could’ve rocked a stage if given a chance! Unfortunately no one seemed willing to give you a chance. A real chance anyway. You’re halfway sure some of the gigs you landed were just so that the owner of the joint could stare at your tits or try to get into you or your band mates’ pants. More than a few succeeded since you couldn’t afford to pay them the legit way. But eh, who’s listening to you bitch? The bottom of that pint glass sure isn’t and you’re halfway sure the bartender is taking the opportunity to look down your shirt while you lay your head on the bar. You can almost see the moment he decides that you won’t be paying the normal way and begins to invite you to the back to pay in a more interesting way. Having no cash on you, you stand up to accept when the drink hits a little too hard and everything goes dark.

Next thing you know, you’re in a rather stately Victorian era gothic mansion of at least 2 floors with the most annoying hangover. You’re not sure exactly what’s going on, but you do know that something is rather off. It could be the smell of smoke in the place even though there isn’t the heat from a fire to back it, it could be that occasionally out of the corner of your eye you see parts of the mansion turn into a charred mess. You’re positively surrounded by stuff, two generators sitting equidistant to you behind you, a wooden palette to your left slightly behind a wall, and… are those arms? There seems to be a set of long, pale arms reaching out of the ground right behind you, grasping at nothing at current moment, but they unnerve you anyway. You’re not sure why they repulse you so, but you have the feeling it’d be best if you didn’t find out. Also visible from where you are is the stairs to the next floor. They are in front of you and to the left.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You had your mission. There came word from a town close to your chapter that a cult sprang up. Those happen all the time in this modern, unclean era so at first the Church was willing to let it go so confident they were that it would die off on its own like so many others. Only it didn’t. It expanded in leaps and bounds and quickly became the most prevalent religion of that town. Worshipping what amounts to a Succubus, the town devolved into what seemed to be an eternal orgy. Your assignment was to cleanse the town of this filth and bring as many back to the light of the Lord as possible. At first, it seemed easy enough. You were easily accepted into the town as your rather revealing choice of clothing made them think you were one of them. You managed to avoid being immediately pulled into their sin, claiming you wanted to speak with their head and receive their blessing. They grumbled, figuring the head of their cult would get to taste you first, but in the end they complied and lead you to what used to be one of your churches. It’s the ultimate sign of their corruption as the outside is painted black and the raised voices of sinners echoed past the doors. You’re brought in and meet the leader, a rather voluptuous woman with a sinister, lustful twinkle in her eye as she observed the orgy defiling holy ground. You go to pull your weapons and smite this evil, but she chants an unholy verse and you feel yourself be transported, though you can’t see where as a veil as fallen over your eyes.

When you can see next, you’re in a rather stately Victorian era gothic mansion of at least 2 floors. You’re not sure exactly what’s going on, but you do know that something is rather off. It could be the smell of smoke in the place even though there isn’t the heat from a fire to back it, it could be that occasionally out of the corner of your eye you see parts of the mansion turn into a charred mess. You’re backed up into a corner of the second floor, surrounded by walls behind you and to your left and a pair of generators in viewing distance to your right. Why there are generators indoors eludes you, but this may be a heathen trick of some sort. In front of you is a wall with an open window and to the right of one of the generators is a locker. You THINK you can make out another woman further past the generators, but a fog enshrouding this place makes it hard to be certain.

You’re not sure why, but your heart is beating. It’s at a somewhat sedate pace, but you still don’t know why it’s doing that. There’s only a gut feeling that it’s not good.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

It’s another evening as usual, curled up with one of your favorite books. You remember being invited to an officer mixer, but it didn’t seem that interesting to you so you turned it down. Still, occasionally you find yourself wondering what’d have happened if you said yes. You’ve read about them often enough and they’re usually depicted as somewhere you can find… well, maybe not love but at least a quick shag in a hotel room. These sort of thoughts suddenly dominate your mind, envisioning yourself paired with many of the people of your job. Maybe Petro, that somewhat nerdy Hispanic man who’s been making eyes at you for months now? You envision he’d be a romantic who would set an atmosphere before taking you slow, making love to you and making you enjoy over minute of it. Or possibly Sarah, the blonde bombshell with the reputation for sleeping around with lady and gentleman alike? You know she’d know her way your pussy and could make you scream in ways no man could dream of! You could be ambitious and go for the company head, Tony? You might finally get that raise you wanted after he spends the night keeping you in the air, his muscles working overtime as he rails you completely and utterly until you’re both utterly satisfied. Your thoughts even begin spilling over to your book, inventing passages that simply aren’t there as your mind transposes alien sex and orc raiding parties over your rather tame book.

You’re snapped out of your increasingly lewd thoughts as you realize that somehow you’ve got from your living room couch to a rather stately Victorian era gothic mansion of at least 2 floors. You’re not sure exactly what’s going on, but you do know that something is rather off. It could be the smell of smoke in the place even though there isn’t the heat from a fire to back it, it could be that occasionally out of the corner of your eye you see parts of the mansion turn into a charred mess. In front of you and to your right, you can see a set of stairs that will lead to the floor below. You can’t see any further than that in front of you, a combination of a deep fog within the mansion and a wall blocking your site. On the same token, though you can see two generators nestled fairly close to each other to your left and a locker in front of one of said generators, you can’t be certain of whether you see someone just past those.

You’re not sure why, but your heart is beating. It’s at a somewhat sedate pace, but you still don’t know why it’s doing that. There’s only a gut feeling that it’s not good.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You can hear the voice of your grandmother demanding you go out again to gather the essentials. You’re not sure when the essentials changed from food and drink to the lives of the Survivors within the mansion, but the fear of her wrath should you fail keeps you from questioning too much. She provides you with the tools you need in order to gather the essentials, including the ability to mimic a voice you’ve heard before. You’ve heard many in your years, but none belonging to the Survivors in the mansion now so you’re unsure how useful this ability will be yet.

You begin almost in a corner on the second floor, the auras of 4 outlines on this floor making themselves clear to you. Two of them are fairly close, though they are on the other side of a wall. One is directly to your left quite some distance away. The last is on the other side of the floor, up and to the left of you. In your field of vision is just the wall ahead of you, though a quick look around reveals a locker behind you and another smaller wall to your left.

Being codenamed Lilith was a fucking joke. The Chapter that gave her that shitty codename wasn't imaginative in the slightest. Lily De' Angelo was only doing this job for a few reasons. First and foremost, they gave her a roof over her head and solid meals, with pay for snacks and other minor vanity options. She would pay off the sins in confessional. That always worked out after all, right? The other reason was that it was kinda fun. Finding blasphemers and putting bullets into their heads was something she found a great joy in undertaking. She was always a hands on kinda girl who liked getting them dirty. Finally, she would be able to get a kick out of watching them shit bricks whenever she walked around naked. It was fucking hilarious to say the least, especially since they allowed her to make her own clothing, and promised that she would be allowed into Heaven still.

This town seemed like a simple enough job. Sex cult didn't die. Make it die. Convert them into the God's Good Name once again. The people were fucking stupid. Or were they fucked stupid? Breaking away that road of thought, She requested to see the head, she got her request. What she didn't expect was the head to do... something to her. She woke up in what appeared to be a very old ass house. Fancy and all that shit. Which confused her, because there wasn't any wanna be rapists between her legs. Not that she wanted any. She was a nudist, more specifically an exhibitionist. Not a fucking whore. She was pretty sure she wasn't a narcissist, but whoever didn't bother looking at her naked was missing out. But she wasn't into sex. At least, she was very sure.

Anyways, back to the fucking mansion. It was really big. And foggy as balls. How fucking thick was this shit in order to cover the entire room and still not dissipate? The fog must have also been messing with her vision. Shit wasn't right, and even though she wasn't afraid, there was something unsettling about all this. There was a muffled squeak somewhere, and her hands whipped to her holster... which was empty. Fuck. Those guns were fucking expensive! She had them fucking hydrograph that lily design onto them personally! She was going to find out how to get out of here and she was going to enjoy ripping off that bitches head. She calmed herself with a small sigh. Let's figure out where she was. She started moving towards the generators. Specifically, towards the one with the locker. She was going slow though, There might be enemies here and she didn't want to fucking give herself away if she could help it. At least, until she had a weapon in hand. Made things a lot easier. She went to the generator to see if she could try and identify what it was supposed to be powering. Generators were heavy, so whatever shit was going in with the generators must be worth investigating.

Another day. Or night. It's quite hard to tell the time when the clocks stop ticking and one doesn't often go outside. But whatever time it was didn't matter. Grandmother had spoken, and her will be done, lest another mark is made upon the form of the Mimic. 4 this time, 2 close by and 2 far. A locker behind, various walls. This was the Mimic's hunting grounds, outfitted by Grandmother, and made for the sole purpose of the hunt. Mimic despised the place as much as the place despised the one who was Florence Bates, and the familiar sights reeked of the injustice done within. But none of that mattered now.

Mimic adjusted the painfully tight corset, making it tighter as a punishment for the sins that shall be done. It served as a small reminder to Florence Bates, and of Florence Bates, with the familiar name rolling on the Mimic's tongue within its mind. It sounded more and more like Grandmother as it repeated, the voice grating on its sanity like sand paper on a cut. It was time to obey Grandmother's will once more. It was time to violate the forms of several hapless people once more. It was time for the Mimic to indulge in its guilty pleasures once more... the Mimic didn't really know what time it was, the clocks are broken.

Moving on, the first thing that must be done in the hunt is to find the prey. The Mimic had a very good idea of the location of two, and it'd be nice to get a good look at one of them. It was simply enjoyable to see the fresh new faces in the home... the Mimic moved down the forward wall to search for a way past it. The prey on the other side was calling to them, their bodies warm and already flushed with arousal in anticipation for their fate... or was that just Grandmother's encouragement? It was never easy to tell the difference.

Hook-ups weren't uncommon in movie theaters. Henrietta had seen her far share as a movie goer. But she was practically in the middle of an orgy waiting to happen. And this was before the lights had gone out. Strange how people can be in the mood when they're about to watch "Night of the Undead Hooker 2, Krystal's Revenge" but to each their own. AS the lights dim, Henrietta lets the magic of the theater take her a way.

When Henrietta open's her eyes she finds herself inside of some kinda gothic mansion. "I didn't mean literally" She says to herself as she rubs her forehead. Looking around she sees a number of pallets and a window. It seemed too early to panic and attempt any dramatic escapes out of a window... yet. Their was also the matter of all this advance tech in this run down mansion. But Henrietta merely shrugged it off. For now, Henrietta walks towards the pallet to the far right of her and tries to move it forward. Places like this are usually littered with secret passageways!

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Well, given the circumstances... I think it's perfectly logical Lexa's going to come to wrong conclusions...

While parties generally don't present Lexa's idea of good time, she wonders if she should go out with her co-workers at least once. Not only to not stand out too much as an outsider, but certain aspects of the office mixers she's overheard from gossiping colleagues do sound intriguing, if they are true. There are some things in life books can't replace. It's not the first time she had such thoughts, but tonight, her imagination runs wild... not wilder than usual, but perhaps in a different direction... as she imagine what could be. Earning a pay raise or a promotion by doing "extra work" for her boss isn't unusual, if rumors are to be believed, Anna the CEO's secretary could hardly get her position thanks to her brains, after all. Other possibilities, if not as pragmatic, could provide different kinds of distractions. With Petro (I'll assume it's not a typo of Pedro), it could evolve into something more long-term. They share some common interests, and he's a nice guy. Sarah, that's something else. Lexa normally isn't into women... experiments during her college days don't count... but with her, it would certainly be a wild ride. And everything should be tried once, shouldn't it? Lost in thoughts, Lexa's hand slips under her pyjama shorts, and soon she's too lost in lewd fantasies to focus on her book. She'll have to re-read this chapter tomorrow.

When she opens her eyes and notices the changes to her surroundings, she's confused for a moment, before she puts two and two together. She must've fallen asleep, but remains aware... a lucid dream! Lexa's read about this, but doesn't remember ever having one. Interesting. It feels so real, but at the same time, too strange to be true... yes, this must be a dream. Sort of nightmarish kind of a dream, from the fog and the smell of smoke, sure, but a little thrill isn't a bad thing... she knows she's dreaming, so she could wake any time she wants to. Let's see what her subconsciousnes has there to offer her. Lexa gets up from her couch, and looks around. Somewhat old-timey, looks like a haunted house, or a vampire mansion. Now, that could be an interesting dream, vampires are pretty erotic and she's still a bit excited from her previous fantasies. But... she looks down at her clothes... her gray pyjama shorts and shirt don't really fit in here. She doesn't know that much about lucid dreaming, but perhaps she could change her attire into something more fitting? Say, translucent silk nightgown and panties? When it doesn't work (assuming it really doesn't), she'll make her way towards the locker to check it out. Perhaps she'll find a change of clothing in there? The whole area looks out of place here... are those generators? And there's some hint of human(?) silhouette in the fog beyond all that. She should take a closer look.

Sidney sat alone at the bar, nursing her third beer. What did she need those bitches for anyways? Tonight was just another miserable night where a gig had gone south. The key difference was that this had been the final straw for her band mates. They'd decided that they'd had enough and were calling it quits. Those talent-less hacks had acted as though they were the ones that had it rough. It was her that had constantly broken her back to get these shows in the first place. Every time, she'd have to do odd jobs to raise the scratch she'd need as a down payment. And then when no came to watch, Sidney was the only one willing to take one for the team to pay off the rest. Why couldn't things go her way? Just once? Maybe she could accept it if people had seen her play and decided they didn't like it, but not one of her shows managed to draw a single person.

So there she sat, attempting to drink herself into a coma. The bartender constantly loomed over her. He knew that she was flat broke, and planned to settle her debt some other way. All he had to do was ogle her tits as she sipped her own will to fight away. Hell, she thought, maybe he'd waited enough. She doubted she'd make it very far if she tried to skip out on her bill. And it wouldn't even be the first time she'd have gotten fucked today. Life had got her first, and the promoter second. Who cares if the bartender got thirds at this point? She gave up at last and stood up, only to crash to the floor and black out.

Who knows how long it took for her to come back around? She groggily pulled herself to her feet. The first thing she noticed was that something was missing. She was neither drunk nor hung over, as far as she could tell. And yet, she still had that nasty goose egg from when she hit the bar floor. Speaking of which, where was the bar? It was then that Sid realized that she was no longer slugging down cheap swill at the Drooling Oyster. Was this the bartender's place? If so, the guy had some pretty gothic tastes. Still, she couldn't actually find any sight of him. Instead, she saw a couple generators and some stairs. Still, the things that caught her eye the most was the pale arms reaching from the ground. She had no idea what they were for, but they felt pretty wicked. Choosing to avoid them for now, Sid decided to look around and get a better layout of the manor.

The pallet is much more responsive than you’d imagine! It barely takes any force at all for it to noisily fall over, wedging itself between the house wall and a nearby one. No matter how much force you use to pick it back up, it seems to stay stuck. Worst of all, there’s not even a hidden corridor for your trouble! How dull…

Sidney
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Standing still and looking around helps you see more, but the fog that’s apparently throughout the house prevents you from seeing TOO far. From what you do see, the layout of the mansion makes no sense! It’s like the architect was drunk when they made the plans and the builders were either stupid or just drunk enough themselves to go along with it! Walls pop out at random, some with window in them, some otherwise solid! You spot a pallet of wood between two such walls. Was that left over from construction or does the owner have a wood fetish? And what’s with the generators and lockers anyway? The only NORMAL part of all this are the dressers you see, big enough to hide you from casual sight if need be. Just so much of this doesn’t make any sense!

Speaking of not making sense, you hear the sound of wood slamming against wall from a good distance away on the other side of the wall. You’re not sure if that’s the place falling apart or if there’s someone else there.

Lily
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
It’s the oddest thing, but it doesn’t look like these generators follow the usual laws of basic electrical work. There aren’t any wires coming out of them at all, let alone ones that show you to what they’re powering. For all that you know they could decoration, though who would bother using such heavy objects as part of the décor is beyond you. Still, the insides look pretty simple. You’re not sure if it’s knowledge you had before or if it’s that “divine guidance” the priests are always spouting off, but you’re fairly sure you could repair the generator if need be. You know, if they need repairing since they could be there for the joy of looking at them.

While you were contemplating the generator, it seems someone else drew closer to you. She’s wearing a set of gray pajamas checking out the locker. She seems to be looking for something in it, though whatever it is she’s not successful by the look on her face.

You’re not sure why, but your heartbeat becomes a little more insistent.

Lexa
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
You’re not sure if you’re disappointed or not when your clothes don’t magically change themselves. You’d think that’d be part of a lucid dream, but apparently not. Checking the locker reveals nothing. It’s big enough to hide you if need be, but there isn’t anything like a rack of revealing clothes or something. Going to the locker does put you closer to the other person though. She’s much more what you’d expect out of a dream like this, barely wearing enough to cover her breasts and pussy! The rest of her is rather enticingly on display, leaving almost nothing to the imagination.

In addition to her, behind you is a masked individual. Their outfit and proportions makes them seem like either a flat-chested woman or a crossdressing man. You’re not sure why, but looking at this individual gives you the creeps. Like nothing good will happen if they come near you.

The heartbeat from earlier becomes far more insistent, almost beating out of your chest it feels like.

The wall isn’t very long, so it doesn’t take you too long to get around it. When you do, you’re rewarded with your first view of one of your visitors: A short haired brunette woman in what appears to be her pajamas. She seems to be looking through a locker for something. What it is doesn’t matter though as the voice of your grandmother screams in your head, demanding you take her and offer her sweet, fertile body to her whims. As if to emphasize this, you spot a set of Grandmother’s Hands popping out of the ground nearby, ready to play with your prey.

Somewhere far, far off, you’d guess somewhere on the first floor, your grandmother alerts you that something has happened. You’re not sure what yet, but now you have a rough guess as to the location of another of your guests.

The sound from off in the distance managed to spook Sidney, and caused her to duck and cover her head. If she were to trust what she was seeing out of the corner of her eye, then the place ought to be condemned. What the hell is wrong with this place anyways? Between those freaky hands and the unnatural feeling of the mansion itself, Sid had to wonder if she wasn't just having some sort of lucid nightmare. If she was, then that didn't bode well. It means that things were going to get weirder. Still, she decided to check out the sound to find out what was the source. She crouched low and skulked her way towards the path with the pallet, thinking that she could at least hide under it if the house was just crumbling apart. Once she reached the corner, she started to look about before moving closer to the source of the sound.

The Mimic felt elation as the first visitor was spotted. She looked busy and unaware, so close in her pesky clothing... Grandmother was very excited, and her hands were quite animatedly moving and reaching out, desperate to caress and hold a human body. Yes, this visitor's would do. The Mimic began walking towards the prey, taking long strides as silent as Grandmother would wish it be, hand out to grab hold of her and bring her to her fate. Odds were good that their prey unfortunately already noticed them, and would probably complicate the process by running. The Mimic never learned why, but they always seemed to have a keen sense of danger... maybe that's a sign of the wrongness of its existence.

Grandmother's voice appeared once again, warning of something happening somewhere... it was vague, but the Mimic could hazard a guess on the location of whatever caused it. A sixth sense... of sorts. Grandmother had worked hard in getting that ingrained into the Mimic.

Henrietta lets out a loud yelp as the pallet collapse. It was a lot louder then she expected. That's followed by a small sigh as the fallen pallet reveals... nothing. "I guess secret pathways was to much to ask for." She said rubbing the back of her head. The scanner doesn't seem to work either. Looks like it was time to try the window.

At the very least, if she got out of hear, Henrietta knew exactly where she was going to set her next screenplay. She could imagine it now, a haunted mansion housing a monster twisted by years of abuse and now hunts new prey. Henrietta needed to get home to her computer and start typing!

Lexa is a bit disappointed when her attempts don't work. She doesn't know exactly how lucid dreaming work. Perhaps she isn't actually in control, but only aware she's in a dream, or maybe she'll need some training to change things. In any case, it's something she should check once she's awake again. Well, at least she sould find out what..or who... else can she do or see here.

She's a bit disappointed that the other figure turns out to be a woman, but she approves her choice of attire... well, she would, if she wasn't just a figment of Lexa's imagination. She looks at her and starts with a friendly greeting: "Well, hello there!" But she's not the only one she can see, and the other... person...looks less enticing. It looks like there's the bad part of this dream. Whoever it is, it's creepy and weird, and Lexa's got a bad feeling about it. She looks around for a way to get away, but it doesn't look good... the wall behind her doesn't have any openings, the way between her and the other girl is blocked by various junk... what are the generators doing there, anyway?... and the only other options are the stairs, and wherever that creepy one came from, and both would mean going closer to the source of her uneasiness.

Well, she certainly won't stay here. If the creepy one moves her way, she'll try to run for the stairs, to get away. (but if Lily answers her, she may talk with her a bit first)

Lily's concern and paranoia only strengthened as she looked into the guts of the generator. It made just no fucking sense. Now, she wasn't an expert on mechanics at all, but the internals were just random ass bits and pieces of wire bundles, piping and what- have- you. Despite the chaos within, it was clearly labeled on how to restore it enough to get operating. That was disconcerting to her, since it seemed that it was meant to be activated. How curious.

Speaking of curiosity, the female figure in the distance was now a whole lot more visible. A young woman, similar to herself wearing pajamas. A heretic of the cult? No, she seemed too... mundane. Not that it was a bad thing, but mundane was boring to the girl. To her surprise, she called out to Lily. Was she crazy? Or was she the danger her jackhammering heart was telling her not to engage with? By the way, her heartbeat was not pleasant at the moment.

She took one look, then moved to the window on her left with the intention of getting away from the person. Or monster, she wasn't sure. But every woman for themselves, right?

The window seems to lead to another part of the house. Looking around, you don’t see any on the outsides of the house. Or at the very least, none that haven’t been boarded up so tightly that you’d need a crowbar to get them off. Through the other side of the window there’s a rather comfy looking, if antique couch, another one of those lockers, and… are those a set of hands coming out of the floor? You’re not sure why merely looking at them fills you with dread, but you get the feeling you should stay away from them as much as possible. On the bright side, there’s another pallet nearby! You doubt it’ll have any hidden passageways based on what happened the first time though.

Sidney
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
The path you choose unfortunately does force you to move past a new set of those creepy hands to get around the corner. You scoot past them, giving them as wide a berth as possible. Which is good since they swipe at you as if wanting to grab you and hold you down. Being this close to one, you see some sort of… substance adding a sort of sheen to the hands. Could be sweat, could be something more devious. You’re not sure, but you suspect there’s really only one way to find out. You still can’t make out the cause of that clattering you heard before, but more of the room is revealed to you. Including 2 more sets of those damn hands, both on the other side of a window in front of you. There’s also a pallet nearby, along with a rather comfy, if antique, couch.

Somewhere back where you came from, you hear what sounds like bare feet sprinting down the stairs. It sounds uncomfortably close, especially since the fog prevents you from seeing much about the person making said noise. The only detail you can be really sure about it a lot of pale skin. Like, more skin than is normal on someone with clothes. Is there a STREAKER in this creepy ass house!? Another important question is just why is said streaker, female you’d guess from what curves you can see from here, is running in the first place.

Almost as if to answer the latter question, your heart begins to beat more rapidly. It’s not at a terrible rate yet, but it picks up enough to make you notice it to begin with.

Lily
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
For a moment, your heart tries escaping your chest as the woman who attempted speaking with you gets visibly spooked and SPRINTS off in another direction. You also hear a gasp of shock from the same woman, though you can’t see what happens. Based on the sounds of what could only be ripping cloth, you can guess though. You hear her footsteps continue down the stairs, so you know she hasn’t been caught yet… but you doubt it’s safe to come out yet. You can still feel your heart going crazy. At a much reduced rate, as if whatever’s causing it went after the other woman, but still more than you’d like.

On the other side of the window, you can see what looks to be a wooden pallet. You’re not sure what use it’d serve yet, but it’s gotta be here for a reason if the generators are.

Lexa
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
As you break for the stairs, the… thing, moves to intercept you. And it’s faster than you too! Before you get very far at all it detaches what looked to be a white tail, the thing instantly forming to look like a cane instead. There’s the instinctual flinch when it raises the cane as if to hit you, but it does nothing of the sort. Instead, the cane seems to pulse and the thing rapidly stabs it at your clothing. Which… suddenly burst off of you!? How!? The end result is your entire wardrobe is utterly shredded, leaving you in your birthday suit. The burst of adrenaline the fear brings pushes you forward even faster, allowing you to get down the stairs before the thing gets done reveling in its success. You bolt to the side to break eyesight of the thing, but based on your heartbeat and the faint whispers you hear, the thing CAN’T be far behind you!

There’s a window right by you that you can hop through to make some distance between you and the thing and you can see over the small walls surrounding what look to be a pallet. There are also a few dressers nearby that you can attempt to hide behind, but the mansion is horribly cold. If you’re not careful, then your shivering could give you away! In the distance, out of your clear eyesight due to the fog, there appears to be someone else. Maybe they’d be more willing to help than the last person you came across? Though they may not appreciate you bringing that thing down on their head.

Mimic
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
You can almost feel Grandmother’s hand guide your actions as your visitor actually runs toward you, heading to the stairs. This brings her within your range and you strike! The cane Grandmother used to remind what you used to be of his place comes smoothly off of you and you can feel Grandmother empowering it. With a few pokes here and there, those pesky clothes burst off her of as if rejected by Grandmother’s will. As the woman’s clothes fall in tatters before you, you’re forced to take a moment to tamp down on Grandmother’s excitement, her powerful insistence threatening to overcome what remains of your mind. Once you’ve come back to yourself, your visitor is no longer within eyesight, very likely downstairs somewhere. Grandmother illuminates her path with scratch marks left all over the stairs. You could go after her.
You have also obtained her voice, being close enough when she was speaking earlier to pick it up. You can now imitate it and maybe draw someone else out.

The wondrous sight of torn clothing bleeding away from the prey's form had given the Mimic some amount of joy... until Grandmother's own jubilant act got in the way of the hunt. Her words pounded into the Mimic's mind, the whispering tone becoming shouting as she demanded more, her presence drilling its way pasts the mental barrier and going straight into the Mimic's conscious - Grandmother pulled back with a few words of calming. This always happened when someone's clothes were ripped off. Grandmother simply got too excited, and her excitement momentarily shocked the Mimic. It was a shame. Now that woman had ran off. Taking one more second to calm Grandmother (and the Mimic's shaking legs), the Mimic began to chase after her, heading down the stairs at an efficient pace and pausing at the last stair.

It reoriented itself, spinning around to note its surroundings, ears open for any sound and nose open for any scent. If there was anything of the sort, the Mimic would pursue it and attack immediately if the woman was close enough. If not, it would begin moving in the direction where Grandmother had felt something happen. That was the largest clue on hand, and it'd be best to try there if their prey was in the wind.

What the hell is that thing? Lexa doesn't have much time to think about it, she runs downstairs, slowing down barely enough to not stumble and fall. Her pyjamas are gone, just like that, and while that would be a part of this sort of dream, something feels off. This dream feels completely real, but that's impossible, right? She can't actually be here, wherever that is, running away...naked... from some strange creature. That sort of thing only happens in stories. And excuse plots in porn, which does sound more plausible. But everything... the cold, the feel of her bare feet on the floor, her beating heart... suggest it is real. But what about the other girl she saw? This whole situation is too unbelievable. But dream or not, Lexa is certain she doesn't want to be caught.

She notices the shape in the distance, but doesn't call to it. It could be another creature like the one chasing her, and even if not, it's too far away to help her. Given the options, Lexa jumps through the window, reasoning that her pursuer's clothes would slow it down as it follows her, then moves away from the stairs. (that should be two actions, right? If not, I'll edit the post later)

Sid slinked around the grasping hands, afraid that one of them might try to grab her. These things were really starting to freak her out. All she could do for now was just avoid them until she woke up. That was a plan, right? Still, the moment she got past one, she found two more. She'd say that those things were starting to get under her skin, but for some reason felt that it was a poor choice of words. What did these things even represent? What was her subconscious trying to tell her? Sidney thought about how they might make a neet allegory for something in a song, but just ended up depressing herself. What was the point of writing something when no one wanted to hear it.

A sound behind her snapped her out of her pity party. She looked behind her, and saw a naked woman come striking down the stairs. Sid hoped her subconscious wasn't trying to tell her something, as she had enough to worry about right now. She didn't know what this part of the dream represented, so she decided to observe for now. That was the point of a lucid dream, wasn't it? Being able to watch and affect the weirdness? Sid moved north, behind the wall, and hid. From there, she would poke her head out to see what would happen next.

Lily was spooked. Someon- no, Something was here. She couldn't see it, but it was somewhere close. Her heart, which beat so lout in her ears was suddenly silent, it's pulsing so fast she couldn't even feel an individual beat anymore. Once her instinct told her that whatever was here moved away, she let out a small breath she didn't realize she had been holding. She needed a way out. Maybe the generators were here for a reason? She decided to move to the nearest one, and took a look. The more she looked, the less she doubted. This was here for a reason. Might as well work on it and see if she could fire it up.

Henrietta had to pause for a moment after seeing a set of hands come out of the floor. Just the sight of them sent a shiver up her spine. "Gonna avoid those" She told herself as she found the couch and locker. Turning to the locker, she pondered for a moment. Maybe Henrietta could find something to get get her out of here. Or if she's lucky, she could find some period appropriate dress to study.

Henrietta
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Opening the locker (which obviously hasn’t been greased in the last century given how loud it is), you see it is utterly empty. It’s easily big enough to hide in though. Why such a spacious locker isn’t being used is beyond you since it could easily be used for clothes or other such necessities. Such a waste…

To your right against the wall, you spot another woman peeking around the other side of it. You can see her clear enough to tell she looks like a rock star! But she doesn't look like anyone you know. You're not sure what she's looking at, but it's obvious she doesn’t like what she sees based on the fear on her face. You’re not sure why, but your heart starts beating much faster than it was just a moment ago. Does that have to do with what the other girl is seeing?

Sidney
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
Your decision to hide yourself comes at the perfect time as you spot just what the other girl was running from. It looks human, but based on the fact your heart is now trying harder to beat itself out of your chest, you doubt it is. From the distance you’re at you can barely make out details, not even a gender, if there is one, of this thing. But you can see its creepy mask clear enough. You also swear you see a tail, though it’s far too stiff to actually move. Whatever this thing is, it’s bad news something deep within you tells you.

Much clearer to you, you see another woman behind you, a rather well-endowed chocolate lady who seems to be searching through something. You can’t see what because the wall blocks your vision. She doesn’t appear to find anything though and you hear the faint squeak of whatever it is closing after her search.

Just when you think it’s safe, the thing stops its search far away and begins to close in on your location! You don’t know if it senses you or if it somehow heard the noise that brought you over to this side of the mansion in the first place, but it’s closing in quick. Your heart beats as if trying to escape from your chest and you begin to hear whispers. Whispers that promise you pleasures untold very soon.

Lily
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
The danger past you turn your attention back to the generator in front of you, barely having to step forward in order to reach it. Certain that these generators hold the key to getting out of this creepy ass mansion, you begin work on it. It’s simple enough to get it going, though your fingers almost slip once while messing around with it. Luckily you catch yourself before anything catastrophic can happen.

You’re making steady progress. If you keep going like this, you’ll have this thing on in no time! You do notice that you’re making quite a bit of noise while you work. It’s inevitable though, there’s no silent way to do this as far as you can tell and even if there was the generator itself isn’t very quiet!

Lexa
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
Carefully you vault the window, attempting to give the thing following you as few clues as to where you went as possible. Such an action is just in time as you can see it descending the stairs. You’d have been easily visible if you hadn’t moved! As you creep away, you hear the thing’s booted footsteps come closer. It’s then you notice something: Your body is doing what comes naturally as your teeth chatter, your breaths become more unstable, and your nipples become more pronounced. At least, you HOPE it’s the cold that hardens the nubs. It must be listening for your shivering! That can’t mean anything good for your attempts to get away from the thing! With a supreme force of will, you suppress this, holding your breath since you think it’ll help.

And it works! The heartbeat warning you of the thing’s presence is still there, but it’s not as fierce as it was a moment ago. It must’ve moved on… but to where?

Mimic
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Image
As you descend the stairs, you pause for a moment to open your senses and track your prey. They’ve either moved on or are somehow keeping themselves quiet. Which is amazing given the temperature Grandmother keeps this place. There also doesn’t seem to be scratches for you to follow. Either the prey got lucky or she’s learning. Either way, she’s eluded you for the moment.

With her gone from you for now, you decide to check on the noise Grandmother pointed out to you earlier. You don’t see anything yet, but if someone made that noise you know it’s just a matter of time.

Lexa's heart is still beating wildly, though now from more natural causes. But just because that... thing... didn't find her yet doesn't mean she's won. It's still close, even though it lost her track for the moment. She has to keep moving away from that thing, to find a place to hide. And... shivering as she is... something to wear, if possible. Her clothes are destroyed, and she'd have to go back to find the shreds, and that thing could be there. She could perhaps block the way with the pallet, but that may cause noise, alerting the enemy. Better to just keep moving away from the stairs, for now.

With more distance from the creature, she's got more time to think. It seems less and less likely this is a dream, like Lexa originally thought. Her sensations... the cold, the beating of her heart, quite unnatural in that creature's vicinity, the feeling of her clothes being torn away, all too real for a dream. But that's impossible... being transported in different place, or even world, happens in stories, but not in real life! Yet, it seems like the only explanation. She'll have to find out what's going on, avoid that creature, and perhaps try to contact the other people here again. Clothes are priority number one, though: she won't be able to do any of the other things if she's suffering from hypothermia.
