"AHHH!" Bailey yells as he is unnerved by the sudden howl from the thrall. Looking at the dead beast, he freezes but tries to get his composure back. "I-I'm sorry. I've never been in a fight before." The healer said as he saw the approaching pack. With an audible gulp, he takes his spot in the group. He begins praying as his body filled with holy energy. Bailey had only tried it a few time but he used the energy he built up to bless his companions with good fortune.

Vanessa gnawed on her lip as she grumbled internally about the Ninja being unable to get his target quiet, scanning the forest in front of her.

"CONTACT FRONT!" She snapped, interrupting and ignoring the intolerable bickering of the Elf, "Ears, Bailey!"

She hoped the boy understood what she meant as she sighted the F88 on the next target, or that his abilities could fix damaged hearing if he didn't. With the darkness, she tried to line up the ring sight of the F88's integral scope with the Thrall's centre mass, not wanting to risk anything fancy in the current conditions. Taking up first pressure on the trigger, she flicked the safety to 3 round burst and squeezed the trigger, enjoying the three quick thudding jerks into her shoulder from the recoil, the muzzle report muffled in her ears as the sensors tripped from the decibel overload.

Reacting to Vanessa's voice, Bailey quickly covered his ears and watched as she fired into the crowd of werewolves and thralls.

Ren cursed internally, when the target didn't die fast enough. The thrall got one last howl before Erica silenced it. Ren pulled his dagger out of the thrall and noticed the others. Ran started moving back to the group when Vanessa started firing. The enemy probably already knew their location, so it would probably be hard to sneak up on them now. Ran took a quick inventory, trying to think up a plan.

Heotasy shook her head and covered her ears smirking. "Ever hear of patience Helly?" She frowned then turned towards the rest of the wolves. "So what does everyone have? Ren, are you able to attack as effectively in a frontal assault? The rest of us should be fine, but you attack primarily from the shadows." She does a quick look around and keeps an eye on the rest of the team and nods to herself. She spins one her staff and points it towards the pack. "Shall we?"

Having struck the killing blow, Erica retreats to previous position in the group. She wasn't a heavy hitter, but a well aimed strike was all the more devastating when combined of her knowledge of the body.

"That things has most likely alerted each and every enemy within the simulation. I suggest we move to another position to avoid being surrounded." Erica suggested, knowing that some of their targets were bound to be intelligent enough to try and flank them.

Rolls (Ren Null, Heotasy 14+5, Vanessa 14+7, Bailey Null, Erica 4+2)

The group of thralls quickly gathers, rushing headlong towards the newly formed group. Distant howls indicate the 'parents' of the thralls are close behind the swarm that stuck around their old camping ground. Vanessa takes first shot, calling out her warning to the others before opening fire. Bailey catches on quick, and manages to defend himself. Erica tries to give advice, but Vanessas rifle delivers its thunderous roar of disruptive ammunition towards the first charging thrall completely muting his suggestion. A small naggling thought that maybe a suppressor might be a sound investment flashes through the shooters mind. The rounds slam into the beasts chest, the distance and improved muscle tissue resulting in the rounds lodging in its chest. It pauses, slumping to its knees as it looks down at the bleeding holes in its chest that refuse to heal over. It's badly wounded, but doesn't seem to be dead, and it's still almost twice as strong as a human its size.

Heotasy takes her own target in a similar fashion, a quick flash and lightning snaps from her staff and into her chosen target, catching the creature right in the face. Its thrown on its back, howling in pain at the burns from the lightning. The double batch of noise makes her ears quiver in mild shock. The bright flash and thunderous crash masks Rens approach, as well as the beasts focus on the small group of people. Ren is in a perfect position to begin attacking from behind, or possibly scouting out where the actual werewolves are, whatever he decides is appropriate.

"Get shocked Thrall!" Heotasy laughed light headed my and had an ecstatic smile on her face. "Ahh it always feel good to let loose." She shook her head and turned to the other two girls, still smiling. "Let's leave the stunned ones for Ren, and take care of the last three Thralls. One each." She twirled her staff and turned back to the Thralls. "Ready whenever you two are! Oh and Erica, are you feeling safe enough to attack them up close?"

Vanessa smirked to herself as she saw the impact of effect of her rounds, happy with how the simulation was programmed at least for now. The thought about a suppressor was quickly brushed off, it would only degrade the performance of her rounds without offering any real tactical benefit. A suppressor would only deaden the sound of the muzzle enough for her to not need hearing protection, which would negate the purpose of her electronic ear plugs.

Sliding the scope reticule to the centre mass of the next thrall she let off a steady string of bursts, feeling the triple recoil before adjusting and firing again and again until the thralls were down.

Bailey doesn't feel very useful as the battle proceeds. Making sure to cover his ears when Vanessa attacks, he begins to watch the treeline for any movement from the werewolfs. He had to be ready to help if anyone got injuries. Maybe there was something else he could do. Trying to gather holy energy into her hand, he tried to project it outward towards one of the thralls to try and subdue it.

Ren pulled out a bunch of kunai and threw them at the stunned thralls. The kunai would be more the able to take out the thralls. Ren moved into the shadows as he kept an eye out for the remaining enemies. Ren glanced back at his team, wondering just what they were planing next. Ren took a quick survay of where the enemy was, he would need to know where they were before he tried anything.

Erica begins chanting minor spells to improve the accuracy of her rapier while staying back, only striking out as the thralls came too close to them. With quick and precise strikes, she acts like snapping turtle that hides behind the others for defense like a turtle does in it's shell before striking out with speed when someone gets too close before retreating again. Erica prioritized attacking the thralls that were proving difficult for the others to handle up close.

"Or you know... That works as well." Heotasy sighs and looks at the remaining thrills that weren't being shot at by Vanessa, and chuckled. "Well alrighty then, let's just go as ineffective as possible. Ah well more fun for me." She points her staff towards them and starts chanting. "Let's do this then." And she lets loose another burst of lightning towards the thralls.

(Rolls, Ren Natural 1!, Heotasy 19+5, Vanessa 18+7, Bailey 15+0 (unusual task), Erica Natural 20!,

Spot Rolls, Ren 12+0, Heotasy 2+4, Vanessa 13+1, Bailey 5+4, Erica 11+2)

As they writhe on the ground, a single werewolf snaps into focus over its fallen brethren, slapping the kunai from the air. They leave small wounds which hiss for a few seconds before beginning to close. Ren gives a slight annoyed tcth, the materials need to be lodged in the body or they don't disrupt magical healing like the werewolf demonstrates. The wolf bends down, picking one of them up, and tosses it experimentally, eyeing the lightning Heotasy gives off as she hurls her magic at another thrall. A large windup, and the beast is ready to throw.

Vanessa's focus doesn't waver, the steady thumps of the bursts slamming into the chest of another thrall, this one falling a few steps closer than its family, but just as disturbed by the lack of healing effect from its new magical nature. Bailey tries something he's never done before, charging up his magic and trying to cause an intense elation within a wolf. The simulation doesn't seem to know how to handle this as it almost seems to skip, but the thrall slows to a crawl, barely able to stand as it whips its head back and forth, the magic suffusing it's body. The elf woman's chants gather speed, the earlier lightning seeming to grow and wrestle as if contained. A sharp gesture, and it arcs out, hitting the stunned thrall, killing it without it even being aware. The very last thrall approaches, but Erica is waiting, the others seemingly distracted by their own targets. A sharp thrust as the beast opens its slavering jaws, only to taste blade as the rapier stabs through its soft pallet and into the brain.

Twisting to absorb the weight of its leap, Erica does a good impression of a wrestler and manages to pull her sword out of the brain pan as the creature lands inside of the group. A few of the others are startled, but quickly move away from the corpse to avoid the tripping hazard. The enemy seems to have gotten together as well, the two wounded thralls from before managing to stagger to their feet, the newly joined werewolf seeming to guide them, the other quickly approaching. Ren, Vanessa and Erica spot the werewolf do its windup, although only Ren knows what it's throwing. Heotasy remains distracted, and Bailey's repositioning has left him unaware.

Vanessa rolled to the side the beast landed amongst them to be finished off, fluidly switching magazines as she brought the bullpup rifle to her shoulder again. Seeing most the thralls down or injured she orientated the ring sight to the Werewolf propper, noticing it's arm cocked back to throw something.

"Incoming!" She shouted moments before letting off another string of bursts aimed at the creatures centre mass.

A puzzled look crosses Bailey's face. That wasn't the exact reaction he was going for. Looking at his hands, he paused, it seemed like his powers really weren't meant to cause harm. As he tries to get back into position, he hears Vanessa yell. When he turns to see what the soldier was pointing at, he can't see it.

Hearing Vanessa yelling "Incoming!" Erica acts instead of losing valuable time on trying identify the danger for herself while staying still. She throws herself away from the direction of the werewolfs and rolls with the fall before looking back to identify what the danger was.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Sorry about that everybody, I wanted to give them every chance, but I'm going to start moving us on. I'm going to take over them a bit, but they're going to be simpler and I'm going to have them transferred. I'll open the OOC for recruitment again, or I can just bring something in.

Rolls: (Ren 11+3, Heotasy INT 10+5, Vanessa 7+7, Bailey INT 14+5, Erica DEX 16+2)

Ren, seeing what is about to happen, leaps toward Heotasy, managing to tackle her to the ground and keep her from catching a disruptive blade to the chest as the kunai flies into the distance. Before anything else happens, the elf snaps out a shout of angry fury, lightning arcing toward the wolf and shocking him. He howls in pain, but doesn't slow down.

Bailey's confused stares aren't enough to disrupt his concentration, and he manages to keep the Thrall stunned in a loopy stance. It doesn't seem to mind, a goofy grin present on its face. Vanessa keeps her eyes on the prize, rounds streaking into the were wolves chest as it tries to recover from its throw. The beast lets out a loud howl of pain, its body not recovering, but a rage seeming to over take it as it charges. Erica leaps out of the way, never being in significant danger as the kunai streaks away from her. Her tumble does put her right in range of another of a thrall though, and a quick snap of the blade leaves it bleeding out on the ground.

The last werewolve has closed, and now is in the thick of the group, preparing to engage the first person to catch its attention.

Having managed to down one of the thralls, Erica looks back at the group she had tumbled away from and sees the Werewolf who had just managed to come into range and was about to pick a target. Deciding to do so for it, Erica attacks it herself, intending to use her sudden attack and speed to her advantage, aiming for the face with the intent of hopefully blind the creature to give it even more of a disadvantage.

Vanessa stayed low as the werewolf charged in among them. Seeing Erica lash out high with her rapier, Vanessa flicked her safety to full automatic and braced the stock of the bullpup carbine into her shoulder.

She lined the barrel up with the creatures knees, trusting the muzzle to climb with the recoil into the creatures groin and stomach before the magazine ran dry. Forgoing reloading this time in the need for haste in pressing any advantage they achieved, she press the forgrip into the crook of her supporting arm's elbow, twisting the weapon to the side to free up her movement to transition to the pistol in her drop leg and lay more rounds into the beast.
