"I'm glad to hear that. My last group wasn't as thrilled to have me on board. Apparently they prefer to have a healer who uses mostly magic to heal, rather than someone who's a bit more versed in traditional healing." Erica explained. "I'm Erica Fauwalfs, and I think I can help with the simulator, I've read about how they're supposed to function." Erica offers to help.

Seeing Bailey's discomfort from her description, a small pang of guilt settled in Vanessa's stomach. Reaching back, she grabbed his hand and gave it a light squeeze, before putting it on her shoulder as she faced in towards the simulation.

"Just stay close and watch how I move," She said lowly, hoping this way she could keep track of where he was and keep him safe from whatever came there way

Ren decided to stand back and watch the rest of his team interact. From the looks of it, Vanessa and Heotasy were going to but heads quite a bit. The two of them seemed to be trying to one up each other on attacks. Ren shook his head, but froze as Vanessa started to discribe what happens when someone is shot with a bullet. Ren looked at Vanessa, a little shocked. "Are you..." He started unsure of how to ask this question. "Are you into watching that?" He asked unsure. Vanessa seemed to have a very unique way of talking about it. Ren moved closer to Bailey. "I think I should stay close." He said softly, more to Bailey.

After confirming that she could indeed operate the simulation, Erica realized she didn't know what kind of simulation the others wanted her to initiate. "Um, excuse me. I'd need to know what kind of simulation you'd all like me to initiate, there are a few standard ones we can use, but it's also possible to make personal changes and adjust the difficulty." Erica explains, giving the others a rough idea of what she could do for them.

Bailey blushed a bit when both Vanessa and Ren moved close to him. "O-okay". He said turning to Erica. "Since we just formed the group, why don't we try for something challenging just to test ourselves." He paused and thought to himself. "How about a pack of ...uhm Werewolfs?"

(Erica INT:15+6)

Erica doesn't have a problem deciphering the control panel, as it's seemingly designed for simple interfaces. A quick selection highlights werewolves, and some scrolling takes it to down to easy training. It describes a simple 'new pack + thralls' as the challenge level. (All INT Heotasy: Natural 20!) Heotasy glances over it, explaining that that will be a pair of 'fully grown' werewolves, and a half dozen or so newly transitioned. The full weres will be fast and strong, but the newly made wolves will still be unable to control themselves, only in possession of their superior strength but not any level of speed or shape control. They have mild regeneration unless hurt with magic or the common 'magical disruptive' weapons that make modern hunters effective. That seems adequate to everyone, and they begin to leave. Heotasy makes a quick selection of an option as well, smirking to herself after everyone else has begun to head toward the entrance.

Entering the room, a flash of light slowly fades into an obvious camping ground. A few tents are torn to shreds, likely the probable source for the new thralls. A fairly believable scenario. A guttural howl sounds in the distance, several more answering it. The sound echoes, preventing anyone from figuring out where the sound is coming from. There's no real clues immediately obvious, but a more thorough examination might reveal something. Vanessa begins to stalk around the camp, gun at the ready as she looks for signs of movement. Bailey tries to follow her, following instructions as best he can. Ren's presence is light, and he immediately notices all of the widely spaced trees he could climb. Erica draws her rapier and small shield, the disruptive inlays seeming to hum with preparation. No one is in any kind of formation.

Vanessa flicked on her tac light and panned the barrel of the steyr back and forth over the scene to iluminate the night in brilliant circle of white as she tried to count the number of tents, in the hopes of getting a rough estimate of the numbers they were facing.

"Circle up," She shouted as the howls called back and forth around them, "Back to back"

She waited for the team to hopefully form up around her and Bailey, if they were surrounded then splitting up would only see them taken out one by one.

"Keep Bailey in the centre and keep your eyes out. Shout out anything you see, they already know we are here." She barked orders, "Sparky the Wonder Elf, look rear. FNG and Vanilla Ice the sides."

Flashing the light through the trees again she waited for the others to respond. If her plan worked it keep the ranged weapons covering the opposite sectors while the other two kept their flanks secure. Vanessa kept her own weapon aiming low, not knowing what type of round the simulation would interpret her MILES gear firing. Worst case, a solid piece of copper wrapped led would still shatter a lycanthropes knee for the others to finish off.

Heotasy smirked as the simulation began, spouting off the knowledge of the Werewolves off her head. She had seen them many times while training to protect the village, though the real trained ones took care of them. "That isn't a good idea Helly. Not sure if you noticed but while we can keep an eye out, huddling us all in a group makes us close together and eliminates the usefulness of Ren." She nods off at Ren. "You're ninja right? Stay in the trees and use whatever ranged weapons you have to keep them off our back. While your at it, try scouting their positions and tricking away the smarter ones until we are able to deal with the rabble." She turned to the healers. "You two are to stay on point, Bailey try starting runes to repair minor wounds and Erica, you said more traditional medicines right? Stick with Vanessa and prepare whatever is closest to an adrenaline rush. Save it, but don't use it until she's wounded and tired. Bailey should go aid you then. Ren and I can hold them off until Vanessa is back on her feet." Finally she turned to Vanessa. "Ms. Hellsinki, you and I will draw there attention, in two separate ways, we will be close enough to attack anyone on our backs, and to help out should we need it. Ready your gun and be prepared. We should be able to make quick work of them." She readied her staff, and pointed towards the forest. "To the rest of you, do you have anything to add? If not who's plan should we go with, but I suggest we all hurry."

"Oh, I'm sorry, do you see sign that reads 'Werewolf Bait' across my arse? No?" Vanessa snapped sarcastically, not used to having her orders questioned, "That's because there is no sign that reads 'Werewolf Bait' across my arse."

Fuming, she kicked a rock into the darkness.

"Just how are Jack and Jill going to cover us if we get cornered while skipping through the forest like Bunny Foo Foo? How can we cover them if they hit us both at the same time? Let's not even mention Mr Go-Ninja-Go-Ninja-Go being left flapping in the wind if he gets caught stuck up in a tree by those things."

Racking the bolt back, she let out a small sigh as tried to collect herself.

"Unless these creatures have suddenly mastered indirect fire artillery there is no issue with my formation at the start of the engagement and adapting from there." She tried to smile calmly before losing it and pointing a accusatory finger at the new girl, "AND MY GOD JILL, IF YOU GAVE THOSE EFFERS INDIRECT FIRE ARTILLERY I WILL EFFING END YOU!"

"Look, if you want to plan a strategy in advance, we could always stop the simulation." Erica pointed out, not really willing to be ambushed due to two of the bickering. "Besides, we're a team, we should decide it together, not just have one of you issuing orders like that."

Ren sighed. "I see this ending well." He shook his head. Ren was a little worried, he hadn't had time to restock on his explosives. Luckily he had a couple small monster flash bangs. Hopefully he would have enough. Ren looked between the two so called leaders. "We really should have picked a leader before starting." Ren looked at Vanessa. "Sorry, but I really can't tell who you want to go where. I don't know which nickname goes to which teammate." He glances around once more. "Anyways, aren't werewolves fast? I'm sure a plan will be pointless soon."

Bailey was left standing confused as everyone started making plans. Vanessa wanted to stay close together while Heotasy wanted them to scatter. But one thing was certain...

"Erica's right, we need a proper strategy if we want to get through this. I think Vanessa's plan is our best chance to bet the simulation" He said. The Healer trusted the soldier's experience. While the plan was being formulated, he began to pray for their success. Holy energy began to build up in his body.

Rens surveying of the surrounding area catches a bit of movement, and a quick gesture gets everyone to hush as a scuffling form moves in, sniffing at the air. It's very man shaped, with fur bursting from tattered clothing, probably one of the recently turned thralls. It must not be used to its new body yet, and it is clumsy and doesn't seem to know exactly how to move. Its ears perk up, and the head begins to swing toward your group. It doesn't seem to have noticed you yet, but the young hunting thrall is likely to notice you soon if nothing is done.

Heotasy shook her head and sighed. "Well this outcome will certainly be surprising. Alright Helly, we shall follow your plan. I expect it to go south fast, but hey, it's a learning experience right?" She smirked and went to stand to the back of Vanessa. "Let's see how this goes down, but at the very least, the after party will definitely be interesting, even without drinks." She smirks and starts scanning. "Shall we start then? I hear Werewolves like to move fast. And later, everyone? We need to come up with a set of all our abilities and figure it out from there. Maybe assign a leader."

Ren had noticed the thrall. He quickly gestured for the others to quiet down. He then pointed in the direction of the thrall. It didn't seem to notice them, but if they kept arguing, it wouldn't take long. This seemed like good news. If a thrall was the first to find them, chances are the werewolves didn't know, yet. Sadly most of their weapons didn't seem very stealthy. Ren acted quickly, forming a plan to take out the thral auickly and quietly.

Ren moved as fast and stealthy as he could, toards a tree closest to the thrall. He jumped onto the trunk and used it as a platform to jump higher and towards the thrall. He used his strength plus gravety to strike a vitial area with one of his magical disruptive daggers.

Vanessa just sighed at Ren before the thrall showed up, fishing her phone out of pocket she typed in a few words into an App and faced the screen towards him.

"You see that?" She questioned, "That's you."

She tucked away the phone as the Thrall came into the clearing, bringing the F88 back to her shoulder. She dropped to knee as she drew a bead on the creature and Ren ran off, holding her fire until the boys was in the clear. She kept her eyes open, scanning the area around the beast in case another appeared.

Motioning for Bailey and the new girl, she tried to signal to them to keep low and watch the area for more of the things

Bailey stopped praying once the thrall spotted them. Following Vanessa's lead he got to one knee and started to patrol the area behind the soldier. Though he was also worried about Ren. With the ninja separated from the group, there was little the healer could do to help him if he got into a bind.

Erica began moving into the middle of the group, taking out her shield and rapier. She was a healer, but unless she used magic, she had no form of ranged combat capabilities. She moved over closer to Heotasy and whispered a question. "You turned on the 'After Party' option? Do you even know what that does?" She asked, hoping to get an answer out of the elf.

(Rolls: Ren Dex 18+3, Heotasy Wis 19+4, Vanessa Wis 18+1, Bailey Wis 2+4, Erica Natural 20!, da fuq?)

Rens advance goes well, his gravity assisted strike planting a disruptive knife in the shoulder right between the bones of the thrall. A deep spurt of blood gushes out, the specialized material keeping the thralls healing magic from being able to work until the knife is removed. Planted to the hilt, the beast barely gets off a howl before stumbling forward toward the group of arrayed hunters. The thrall, in pain or possibly warning lets out a howl as it stumbles forward. Erica spots the beast gathering breath, and leaps forward, two quick steps letting her skewer the beasts neck, only a second of sound escaping before the soft gurgling of the dying thrall is all that's heard.

The creature collapses at their feet, having gotten far too close for comfort. Vanessa keeps her eyes open, and spots another thrall, a bit away with head pointed clearly toward the group. The howl starts, and the pack will begin converging soon, although this thrall doesn't seem to have realized it's easy picking for ranged attacks. Bailey tries to take up watch, but is startled when the howl starts, whipping his head around to look in horror as he's distracted.

Heotasy smirked and winked at Erica. "It's just a little fun to have after the fighting and a little excitement for us all." She then turned towards the where the werewolves were, squinting to see in the distance. "Let's see... I count quite a few there. One... Two... Yeah quite a few. So Helly, shall I leave you to it?" She turns back around to the back. "After all I have to face the is direction." She smirked, and faced the wolves once more and readied her staff. "Or shall we fry these beasts like mutts they are?"
