Katarina cocks her head to a side and looks at vanessa "What is the matter with my clothes? my creators gave them to me..." Said the Feelingless Cyborg, she makes a quick scan at vanessa and the results made Katarina hum "i see you don't like creatures...is that why you're so mean at us?"

Rolls (Vanessa: DEX 13+7, Erica DEX 18+2, Pearce INT: 3+3 (3/4HP), Marfel STR: 4+4 (6/7HP), Katarina DEX: 11+4)

Vanessa continues to try and withdraw, although the bugs seem to be having none of it, a single drone detaching to head toward the lone young woman, deploying wings to jump over the group. Vanessa quickly reacts though, turning toward it and putting a burst of real ammunition into the filthy creature from underneath. The soft underbelly yields quite easily, and it's small stature seems to work against it, as green goo begins to spill out of its stomach region. Soft, as she expected.

Erica grunts, catching the charge of another drone, pressing its attack. Fortunately, she spots the results of Vanessas shots, and manages to worm her sword under the armor and begin to poke around the insides of the bug, which screams in pain before falling to the ground writhing. Pearce tries to take advantage of this, gathering magic and firing shots of ice toward the large creature. It's thick hid is covered in dirt and rock, and the remains of reinforced concrete after tunneling in. The ice shatters against this, although the grime begins to fall off. Having caught the creatures attention, it flings a bit of rock towards the werecat, who winds up with a light bruise for his troubles. Locating the last drone being sent in to probe defenses, Marfel tries a sharp jab as the monster jumps towards him, only to have it latch onto his hand and take a good bite on his arm. A quick twist and wrench, and the monster is thrown back away from him. Katarina takes this chance to make her own attack on it, a few shots landing on its carapace, only a few penetrating. It's bleeding green goop, but seems to be able to still move, even its slow and unsteady.

Enemies: ( 1 x Tunneler Bug 10/10, 1 x Drone 1/2, 2 x Drone Dead)

He gave his arm a brief check, keeping his guard up against any other attack sent his way from any source. It had hurt a bit, but it looks like it's nothing too serious. These things are a little tougher than he thought. Marfel took a quick glance over to his allies to see how they were faring. The others were doing well enough and they won't need his help, so he can finish this fight, then get to the bigger one.

Although, one of his teammates looked to be retreating. "Hey! Vanessa, right? We only have one more bug to fight, and it doesn't look that tough, so you don't have to run from it! I'm sure you'll be fine!" He tried to reassure her. Marfel definitely did not understand the situation away from the fight. He charged the drone once more with a battle cry, this time trying less to punch it (realizing it wouldn't take kindly to a frontal assault) and more trying to go for a feint and follow up with a kick. It was a move his master Giao-Shi taught him, used in battle against quick, parry-prone opponents. Pretend to strike them with your fist, pull back and use the momentum to spin around for a back kick when they attempt a counter.

Having managed to kill one of the Drones, Erica turns her attention towards the Tunneler. Seeing as how tough it is, Erica decides that her weapon is unlikely to actually inflict damage. Blunt weaponry being far more likely to have an effect. Instead, Erica retreats and begins focusing on chanting on a support spell, granting every friendly nearby a small boost in strength. While doing this, she puts away her rapier while keeping her shield up and reaches into her backpack and brings out small vials full of different enchanted liquids. Ready to heal anyone in case they harmed themselves in the assault.

He saw the others taking care of the bugs one at a time looks like they are doing well and the Helsinki girl is also unscathed from the drone that attacked her.His situation is not better as he only drew the tunneler bug attention. He was hoping to do some damage but he did not take in consideration the rubble that covered the tunneler bug when it entered the building. He saw his icicles shatter as it hits the debris on the bug.

"Hmm,a minor miscalculation on my part but i don't think u can dodge this"He started another chant.

"Charges in the air gather before me,strike those who stand against me"

As a bolt of lightning came out his wand and strikes the tunneler bug.

Vanessa nimbly stepped to the side as the innards of the creature splattered on the wall next to her, deftly making sure none of the goo splattered on her clothing as she reached the exit.

"That's Ms Hellsinki to you, though if you can't remember to wear a shirt a I can't imagine you would remember that," She shouted back over her shoulder, using the opportunity to assess the battle so far.

She was happy that Erica had come to her senses and started to pull back, the others though. While Herman Purring's calculations were off, Vanessa's mental maths of the remaining rounds in her magazine were not. It did not surprise her in the least that boy who didn't know about sleeves had gotten a booboo on his arms.

"I dare remind you that it is good manners for the 'gentlemen' to hold the door for the ladies, not the other way around," She called out as she stood in the door way, watching for any threat that approached.

Katarina just simulated a yawn as he looked at ALMOST everybody trying to take out the bug. "this is way moore boring than i had calculated...i was waiting for big monsters, i am not wasting anymore ammo on those bugs, hey Vanessa... is your option of cowarding out still available?" Asked the Cyborg as she looked at the girl standing on the door, once again, Katarina cocks her head to a side, seeming to not catch what the girl said, maybe it was a malfunction in her system, maybe a check up should be done to her "uhm...i'm sorry, i might've lost some information, but maybe no one's holding the door for you because your no lady?....MY CALCULATIONS MIGHT BE WRONG...just letting you know"

(Rolls: Vanessa WIS 12+1, Erica Null (1 turn setup), Pearce INT 17+3 (3/4 HP), Marfel DEX 4+4 (6/8), Katarina CHA 14-4)

Vanessa's assessment leads her to believe that the battle is easily swinging in her favor, although the large bug refusing to show any kind of injury is worrisome. Katarina's jibe dig deep though, as the cyborg shouts out a rather interesting set of insults. Any retort is quickly drowned out by the crash of thunder as Pearce's attack strikes at the bug, catching its attention and causing some serious burns to its skins. It lets out a large 'skreeeee' in pain before it begins to thrash.

Not being ready for the assist, Marfel doesn't quite manage to dodge the thrashing pincer, and is struck cleanly and thrown well clear but away from his teammates. The last wounded drone gets off its back, looking around in a dazed fashion before settling on the lone fighter and moving toward poor Marfel. Completing her chant, Erica feels magic spread out from her and wash over her companions, reinforcing their strength and speed. She keeps an eye on Marfel, but he seems to be ignoring his wounds for now.

"Yikes not quite what was planned "as he realized he angered the bug causing it to thrash about and injuring his allies.

"Hey Marfel are you alright ?"he yelled towards Marfel as the bug begins thrashing.

He was thinking to himself what should he do, should he use his special skill or should he wait for a bit longer to use it.
His flute was specially modified and can act as a flute which he can use infused melody to control monsters and people. However he dislike using it because there is no fun in the battle when using it;It exhaust most of his mana;the stronger the enemy the shorter he can control the enemy;his allies might get affected as well.

He seeks the adrenaline in battle ever so much but he hates watching his newly found allies getting hurt even more.
"Cover your ears i am gonna start a strong spell"He yells towards his allies

Waiting for them to plug their ears before taking apart his wand and reassemble the parts into a flute and starts blowing a melody out of his flute.

The surprise attack had came at him whilst he was mid-charge, and hit him like a giant crab being extra territorial. He was sent flying with a loud, drawn out "WOOOOOOOAAAHHHHH!!" and crashed against a pile of rubble. He had hit his head hard against a piece of broken stone, and for a moment, he was just sitting there dazed. He tried to shake his head to clear the confusion away, and he shakily stood up. He wobbled a bit, still reeling from the attack, but he managed to steady himself.

"Th-that was... a cheap shot!" He obviously was complaining of his enemy's underhanded tactics. He'd have been ready to counter it, had he not been fighting another enemy. Marfel didn't have much experience with 2v1s.

Hearing Pearce's shout, he moved his aching arms up and covered his ears. He also spotted the drone moving over to him, and he grinned. What, did it think he'd be an easy target after the bigger one sent him flying? He might be dazed, but Marfel Crallat is no pushover! He began to walk over to the drone as well, matching it's pace as he prepared to kick it to oblivion. Time to finish what he started, once and for all!

Vanessa yawned, politely covering her mouth, as the walking toaster tried to say something.

"Pardon me? I did not catch that, it is good manners to address someone by their title when trying to engage in conversation," She replied, "Does that compute? Do I need to draw you a schematic?"

Rolling her eyes as she saw the shirtless boy get knocked flying again, pushing lightly off the wall she had been leaning against.

"Come Erica, let the boys play with their little bugs in the mud," She clucked with her tongue, stepping through the doorway, "I wonder if they have prepared our rooms yet?"

i shake my head and simulate a chuckle "when i was brought back to life, my personality wasn't changed, so i can be polite if i want, i just think you don't deserve my politeness, even though i kinda like your bitchy personality...also, i am a CYBORG...not a robot, i'm only 40% machine...i do not need programing" i said before standing up and walking towards the woman "see...well...at least you kill one...i like your idea of leaving, so i'm going with you...for now."

"Oh, my mistake," Vanessa waved cheerfully over her shoulder, not bothering to slow or turn back, "You're only 60% useless then. What a shame, think of all the useful things they could have made you? They could have made you into a toaster, wouldn't that have been lovely? You scampering about, serving fresh hot toast to the masses and doing little curtsies. Truly, you missed your calling."

"Vanessa." Erica called out. "Do you really believe that turning your back on this fight is the right thing to do? Is that really what a hunter would do? While I don't know what you came to this school to learn, but I came here to become a Hunter. And right now, the way I see it, you're doing a terrible job of acting as one. If you think that acting like that will allow you to become a Hunter, then I should tell you that from me, you're receiving a failing grade." Erica says, trying to sway Vanessa not to leave. After all, she truly hoped Vanessa wasn't a bad person since she was attending this school to become a Hunter, of course, if Vanessa had chosen this career out of selfish reasons, then Erica wouldn't have any need to care for her either. However, if Vanessa truly wanted to become a Hunter, Erica wanted to help her to become a good one, like making her realize that a true Hunter would see it as their duty to help those in need, even if they seemed to have things in control by themselves. Unfortunately, there was no way Erica could explain this with words. Instead, she hoped her words made Vanessa come to the same conclusion by herself.

Vanessa rolled her eyes as Erica tried to lecture her.

"I think you are forgetting the other principles a hunter must learn, Erica," She retorted, "Things such as discipline and duty perhaps? Like following orders? Of which ours was to evacuate and avoid confrontation, hmmm?"

Flicking her hair over her shoulder to give Erica the evil eye she continued.

"If you wish to give a failing grade to any one perchance you should examine those boys, yes?" She snapped briskly, "Let's see there's failing to obey orders and recklessly endangering other students in a vain attempt at personal glory, should I go on? I have to say Erica I do not like this new tone you are taking."

"Vanessa, while I can agree with what you say, I have to make a choice here. This confrontation was inevitable since not all of us could get away from it. The fewer people engaged in this confrontation, the higher the likelihood of death for our fellow students becomes. My choices are to either disobey orders in order to prevent needless loss of life or they are to obey orders, leaving this confrontation and forcing others to take care of it in my place. I believe that no one is perfect, orders given do not apply in every given situation and it becomes up to the individual to decide what they need to do. I believe the noble cause of saving lives is far closer to the essence of being a Hunter than the need to follow orders. That is my belief, one I can not abandon since it is the reason I decided I wanted to become a Hunter. I want to help people!" Erica explains herself, a little annoyed by Vanessa's insistence that leaving in favor of orders and leaving others to risk death would be the right thing to do. Obviously, the option that would save the most lives was the correct one, it was the one a Hunter would chose. If Vanessa couldn't see that, then Erica wasn't sure she could view her as a friend.

"Erica, while this is far from the place to be discussing tactics in a civilised manner, do you believe we should chose a stratagem and then mindlessly follow it through regardless of changing situations, hmmm?" She lectured the girl, "Or as professionals is not our duty to react, change and adapt to changing circumstances? Should not those who abandon their duties and mission not face the consequences of their actions? Does an order or chain of command have any validity if errant soldiers wilfully ignore them without reprimand? Perhaps you should see it as they are abandoning us and the mission, hmmm, and not the other way around?"

Flicking her hair over her shoulder she turned her head to look at the other girl.

"You're name was Katherine or something, yes?" She asked, "Well hurry on, I wonder if they have served morning tea yet? I could do with a nice scone."

"I am ready to face any consequence for my actions, idiot." Erica whispers under her breath, giving up on trying to convince Vanessa. Turning back to the battle, she once again accesses the situation, using her "Biologist Eye" to determine the weaknesses of the two enemies they're facing.

"Katarina, not Katherine...And Erica, i would stay if the risk of death was 100%, but there's only one bug and three of you, there's no need to waste bullets on this one..." i look at Erica and shrug before turning around and walking next to vanessa. "Tea? god, just when i thought you couldn't be more pretentious" i chuckle for a moment without looking at her "i'd like some coffee"

Rolls: (Vanessa Null, Erica Null, Peace INT: Natural 20!, Marfel STR 16+4, Katarina Null)

As the three women argue back and forth, the other two members manage to have more success. As he expected, Marfel is able to squish the small drone with his boot, leaving a nice satisfied crunching sound as its exoskeleton crumbled. The huge bug was still a bit out of his league, but with the flute playing it seems to calm down, not really moving for a while as its antennae wave about, vibrating to the sound of the music.

Having disabled the creature, there's little else to do for now, and the door is opened, so Vanessa leads the way outside. The scene is incredible, sections of the ground torn up, and one last creature trying to fight some of the instructors. It's incredibly powerful, blasts of magic erupting on its flesh barely seeming to phase it as it howls its rage at the group holding it imprisoned. The ground rumbles as massive cables reach up, pulling it back down, flickers of shadow striking it as some of the assassins stab at weakened joints. Finally subdued, it seems the disaster is over.

An instructor approaches, mentioning that the tunneling bugs had breached something important underneath, causing a power fluctuation in a containment field for a powerful demon that was being sealed. The other members of your previous parties have taken some injuries that will take some time to recover, so you're likely stuck together for now.
