The Spore Caves

Scavenging around, you manage to grab various different mushrooms from off the walls. The building is, or at least was, very large at one point and so it will take quite some time in order to search through everything. Still, from what you can find in the low light conditions, anything that might have been of value at one point have, by now, been infested with fungus and are beyond use. Still, with what you have gathered, you should be able to turn a profit at the market.

The Streets

Leaving the men behind, you stalk off down the street and do you best to disappear into the crowds. You wander around for a few minutes, taking turns favoured by the majority of people, eventually finding your way to the market set up by the Guilders just outside Platinum Falls. There is quite a lot on offer, but the one thing you really want is indeed there - a rather portly-looking water merchant. A glance at his table showed that stocks were low, so if he hadn't received a shipment already, he would be doing so very shortly.

The Warehouse

With your disguise in place, you move back over the walkway and slip into the warehouse, the door sliding open with the screech of rusted metal. The building is like a lot of others in the town - run down and could really do with some quality maintenance. But, without a local manufactory and the skilled tech-heads to use it, scavenging up steel beams would have to do in the meantime. The building itself seems to be used as a supplies warehouse, crates stacked in rows all sealed up. The boxes look too small to be holding weapons (unless they have pistols), so are likely just food and drink. But you won't know for sure unless you open a few up. Other than that, the building has a couple of other exits - one opposite the way you came in, and one up a flight of stairs leading to an illuminated room.

Looking around the market her eyes drifting over the peons that wander and sell their wares in this place, oh how she wished she could just literally unleash the daemon within and cleanse this place of it's pitiful existence, still they served a purpose, each mind feeding chaos in it's own way, small it may be. Spotting the water merchant she looks around and tilts her head, short on stock it seemed, still that would mean he'd either be packing up or heading to get more stock which meant she could tail him into a less public area before he met his contact and get the information from him. Decided she sits back and waits, eager to see what he had in store for her.

Lyz goes out of the cane and heads towards the market again. She tries to find something to display her wares on and wanders the alley ways for such an object. Once she finds it, she goes towards the market place and plops herself down displaying only one of each shroom. She hopes people would buy some shrooms With each shroom adjusted to a different price depending on how many she saw in the spore cavern

Roman's interest is piqued by the boxes. Keeping an eye on the illuminated room, Roman makes his way towards the nearest box silently as possible. Illumination means habitation most of the time and he doesn't want to alert anyone up there to his presence. He then takes out his knife before trying to open one of the boxes and take a peek.

The Market

Persistance is rewarded, when the water merchant pulls back from his stall for a moment to speak with another man. Slave workers begin hauling water containers from an area just behind the marketplace through to the stall and, by the amount being collected, they would need to have been transported on a vehicle of some kind. Given the state of the highways outside of town, and how this area of the hive appeared less well-maintained than others, it was a fair bet that, if you hadn't heard it pull up, then it would be a smaller light transport, used locally. It wouldn't be too hard to slip by and tail the second man to his vehicle. From there it would be a matter of intimidation, or trying to hide in it and find out where it was going.

Of course, Lyz has just appeared (looking pleased with herself), and is busy hawking mushrooms at the locals from an abandoned stall. She seemed to be doing alright, too

---

Rushing back to the market with a container full of shrooms, you quickly find yourself an unoccupied stall. You don't bother asking why it is not in use, and get down to the business at hand of flogging your wares to the locals. Not knowing what each one did (other than fill the requirement of food), you set prices yourself based on your estimate of supply. And it seems to go quite well. The cheaper mushrooms sell quickly, the more expensive going slowly, but at a steady pace. Of course, they might have sold quicker had several potential customers taken one look at your plague-induced features and decided to go somewhere else, but you still managed to net 60 creds.

The Warehouse

Making sure that nobody was around, you break open one of the crates that you have found. Given that they are metal rather than wood (that being a luxury) it takes a little time to jimmy them open, but you get there in the end. The first crate you pop open contains dried foods, packed away for later consumption. Probably a fall-back measure for if something happens further into the hive and regular food shipments become scarce. A quick glance told you that most of the other crates would contain the same sort of thing, given how they were marked. Moving on to a different crate and popping that open, you find a small supply of ammo, and a stub gun - but no indication if it is here as part of a town armoury, or stashed as some poor fool's personal gun, hidden away in case of emergencies.

Salyandra watches with interest, her eyes traveling over the slaves as they move the goods from the back to the front. Looking over at the assistant she frowns. "So that's who i need to speak to." She waits for a moment before moving to slip past, making sure the second man was busy at the fore before she tried to go around back, her eyes briefly traveling to Lyz and raising at brow at her behavior. Hm... so she's selling the shrooms now. She shrugs a little but gives her a nod as she passes, making her way around the back of the shops to fid the water merchant's wagon and waiting nearby, ready to scare the little bastard out of his skin and get the information she wants.

Roman grabs the stub gun along with some of its ammo before moving on from the crates. His curiosity satisfied, the goliath brute starts climbing the stairs leading to the illuminated room, intent investigating further to see if there is anyone in there. He tries to make a stealthy approach, not wanting to alert anyone inside the room to his presence prematurely.
