Kira sat in a crouched position with her knife held defensively, a perfect imitation of the stance her father had taught her in the event that a hunt went wrong and she found herself cornered by a wild animal. This 'animal' however seemed to have just...gone for the time being.

Still, even as she began slowly lowering her blade as her arm gradually became more and more tired from being help up for so long, Kira did not for a moment become any less alert. If anything she became more so in case this was some sort of crude trap to lure her into a sense of false security, the beast trying to make her think it had simply left her alone. As the minutes ticketed by, Kira finally eased herself, perhaps the monster really had left her alone? It had certainly not liked it when she stabbed it's tentacle, maybe it thought she wasn't worth the hassle? Furrowing her brow, Kira knew she had to at least be sure there was nothing lying in wait for her in the hall and the towering mass of flesh and tentacles that had chased her inside didn't seem to be that smart so, without taking her eyes off the door, Kira grabbed the closest thing to her and rolled it straight out of the doorway of the backroom she had taken refuge in to see if anything attacked the item thinking it was her.

If her ploy worked and the monster revealed it's presence, Kira would quickly back up to try and deal with the onslaught that would no doubt follow. Hacking at slashing with her knife as quick as she could to keep the tentacles at bay in an attempt to really hammer home that the damn thing should leave her alone. However, if she truly was alone right now, Kira would slowly begin to traverse the tavern, leaving the room and keeping low to the ground so as not to be seen by the monster, among other beings who may stumble upon the tavern, through the window as she both tries to find any useful supplies and find out just where the thing went. Something in Kira's mind telling her that, as much as she would love it to have, it wasn't just going to give up on it's prey so easily.
