Edelin, and its great capital of Edlos, has fallen!

The army of demons was too much to bear, even for the righteous paladins of the west. Despite the efforts of the warrior clerics and paladins of Iomedae, they could do little but slow the tide of chaos sweeping the countryside. Then, the hour came when the enemy was on the very doorstep of Edlos. Many brave souls stood their ground and fought to the very last, but it was not enough.

Now, the horde has swept through the city, raping and pillaging for several nights. Following the destruction of the cathedral and the castle, there is now a lull as the main army has moved on to destinations unknown. Only small detachments remain in the formerly grand city, raping and growing fat with victory. Those who remained unknown, and unseen, during the incursion now have a small opportunity to escape.

Within the walls of Edlos and beyond, there is like to be found nothing but chaos. Other survivors fighting for their lives above all else, bandits, and of course, roaming packs of Imps, Orcs, and worse creatures.

You are but a handful of the small number of survivors who will try to make it out of the city, and by the grace of the gods, make it somewhere safer, for Edelin was anything but that...

Karlia
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As a paladin of Iomedae, you were fighting near the keep when it fell. You could do naught else but watch the castle explode, sending rock and steel in every direction into Lake Delrin and into the surrounding buildings. Following the clear defeat of the royal guard, you tried to evacuate as many people as you could to the docks before the demon hordes crashed upon it and destroyed every ship they could find.

You hid out for a few days, hoping you'd get your own chance to escape soon, and with the main horde moving on, you feel that chance is now.

You peek out from the window of your townhouse. You see no demons on your street, at the moment, and how you escape the city is up to you. Most of the buildings in the royal quarter are destroyed in some manner. The explosion and the following fires claimed many of the noble's houses.

There was no doubt demons were still in the city, and you knew some caution would be wise. Not to mention survivors who've turned their cloaks and would sooner rob a person than help them...

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

When the city fell, you were visiting a friend in the Inner Quarter. You were trying to convince them to take flee the city, along with your family, then the demon horde broke upon the city made breaches in the walls. You could do naught but save yourself, after a catapult claimed your friend. You haven't been able to make it back to your own family and discover if they've survived. You've hidden out in your late friend's townhouse, as you watched the Horde rampage through the streets.

However, a lull has come - the main horde has left the ruins of Edlos to its own demise. You have a chance to escape the city, or perhaps find your family. As you open your door and take a look around at the ruined Goddess Square, you find little to ease your worries. The statue of the goddess of Iomedae, built into the fountain, was desecrated with foul imagery depicting demon genitalia.

How you would escape, or find your family, would be up to you...

Kira
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You were negotiating some goods with a merchant with the demon horde broke the walls of Edlos. Your intent was to sell what you had and escape with your loved ones. However, that plan disappeared as the monstrous creatures from realms beyond swarmed the streets without relent or mercy.

You could do little other than save yourself, with no way to escape or find a way to your family and friends. The merchant with you died to a demon plague over the next few days and to ensure you didn't catch it, you were forced to burn his corpse. You have no shown no symptoms of the illness, but you have an even greater task before you.

You must escape this city and find a way to other realms, ones that have not yet succumbed to the chaos and power of the abyss. As you look outside, you find nothing to guarantee safety, but you do see the immediate street is free of demonic presence.

Lash
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You were paid by the town guard to keep order in your neighborhood. People were scared and riot was imminent and you were on the frontline with shutting down any disturbances or disorder in this tentative time of war. However, it was all for naught.

The Demonic Horde broke upon Edlos with a force never before seen in all of its centuries of history. The walls folded like paper to the abyssal artillery. The paladins and peasants alike fell in defense of the city. You fought to defend yourself against the stray demon here and there, but you knew the fight was lost, and took to hiding in your favored tavern. Over the next few days, the handful of survivors crept outside, one by one, eager to find their families, then safety. Now, you are the last one left and you've ran out of food supplies, no thanks to the survivors who demanded leaving with 'their share.'

With a tertiary glance around your neighborhood, you find the buildings here are mostly untouched. It seems the Horde was more concerned with pushing to the castle and the cathedral. You could only imagine what horrors were inflicted upon the High Priestess and the King. You could only be glad it was not you.

The immediate problem is how you will survive this warzone and how you will make it out alive and uncorrupt...

Jamie
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As an apprentice to a court mage, you were given a front row seat to the destruction of the castle and cathedral. A balor, a demon general ten feet in height with the capability of changing his size and strength, enlarged himself and in a gout of flame and steel, he cast the castle gate open wide, killing dozens of soldiers in the process.

At that point, the court mage you served teleported you both to safety. However, a stray fireball from the abyssal artillery claimed his life shortly after. You narrowly reached a nearby townhouse and hid in the basement. You heard demons enter and rummage through the house more than once, but they never found you. Now, after having not heard any soul, demon or Human, for a few days, you come out of the trap door in the basement. You find a meal's worth of rations and barely enough water to slake your thirst.

You're now left with the daunting task of escaping. The view outside this house was not reassuring. Most of the noble homes were cast asunder into flames and little else remains but rock and ash. The location of the cathedral is naught but a large crater and a few ruined walls. The castle fared slightly better, as it's still mostly intact, but half of its walls are but rubble now.

The main horde seems to have moved on, but how will you survive and escape from this hell hole?

Sonya
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You were assisting wounded soldiers and commoners near the northern wall when the abyssal army crashed upon the city. In a matter of hours, the walls were breached and the city fell. You helped as many as you could, but as the demons swarmed through the streets, the very ground beneath you cracked open, and you, along with many others, fell into the realm below Edlos.

You woke up sometime later from the fall, finding yourself in some unfamiliar tunnel. It was the sewers beneath Edlos and to your dismay, you were the only one to survive the fall. There were a handful of corpses around you in various states of death.

Getting out of the sewers may prove difficult, but once you do that, you could start considering how to leave the city, or perhaps to find more survivors like yourself. The occasional screech or animal howl echoes through the sewer tunnels and sends a chill down your spine.

Karlia looked out the window from the former storefront she was hiding in. It had been a terrible few days as she had to watched the city and goddess she had dedicated over half her life to defending fall to ruin, a part of her the rage and fury Iomadae once imbued in her had left. For the first time in her life since her redemption she's felt tired and war weary.

Double checking her armor and greatsword she lets out a sigh. Now she needed to escape and being in the royal district the first choice would be the docks, but those ships were either destroyed or gone. There was no safety there. Biting her lip she wondered where to go. The north maybe safe the terrain was rugged and even demons would have difficulty making their way through that unexplored and dangerous countryside. And possibly there would be a few villages hidden away. Setting her mind to it she decided that she'd try to leave through the north gate of the city and then see if she could eek out a living in the wilds.

But first she needed to take things one step at a time, her supplies were running low if she wanted to survive out near Vedner then she would need supplies, rations, cold weather clothing and a horse. Horses were most likely all gone, eaten or run off, but she should be able to find extra supplies if she scavenges the lower districts of the city; an inn just before the city fell would be her best bet or possible a general good store.

The seige finally came to an end, his eyes adjusting to the smoke and the grim scene around him, everywhere there was destruction, the city in ruins, and looking to the side Elli can only shred a few silent tears for what happened to his friend, the sheerest amount of misfortune to get hit by a stray bombardment couldn't weaken the blow to him. luckily he had at least the most useful of his belongings with him when he was visiting. Sighing he whispers a silent prayer before heading to look outside, his bow drawn and an arrow notched ready to fly should he be discovered, his tight leather armor clinging to his body as he steps outside, his hair blowing in the wind. "Main force must of left..." He states more to himself than anything before he looks around, seeing the statue only hammered in another nail in the end of this great city.

He was left with a choice, find a way out or look for his family then find an escape, he decided to play it another way, he'd find a way out of this city first then see if he can locate his family, after all, there was no point in finding them if he had no way out of this place. "Get out of this place, find them, then bring them to the exit I find." More than likely if they were free and alive they'd be looking for one too, his father would of made them leave him, not worth the risk to get them all caught. It was a choice he understood and hoped they had taken. His mind made up Elli begins making his way towards the inner wall separating the section of the city he was in to the outer ring, maybe he could find a hole in the wall or find the gates un barred, either way he kept low and as fast as possible, sticking to alleys and side streets only hitting the main roads to cross over and get out of sight quickly.

This was bad, so bad! The worst! Jamie would have moaned out loud in despair but he didn't want to risk attracting any possible demons still in the area. He could barely summon enough willpower to stop himself from shaking as he peeked outside from the window of the house. Everything was in ruin, the castle having been gutted in one side and the holy cathedral now just a mere crater in the ground. The court mage was dead as well, the one person that Jamie had believed could have gotten the both of them out of the city safely. He sniffled a couple of times as he remembered how he had been done in by demonic artillery, but managed to pull himself together soon after. He was alone now, responsible for his own safety and he couldn't afford to waste anymore time. Jamie took a deep breath then sat down on the ground, as he tried to figure out what his next move should be.

Obviously he needed to get out of the city, that was priority one. He was deep in the city so he'd have to get past three walls to get out of the kingdom. "Which direction then?" He asked himself. He figured heading east back to Terak would be best, as they would be the most likely to provide him sanctuary, not to mention his family was there and if the demonic forces did go there, they could at least escape by boat. "By what means?" Jamie didn't have the supplies to survive a whole trek back to Terak on foot. He also wasn't versed in hunting or cleaning a kill which meant he'd have to find a way of cutting down the length of the trip. "A horse would do." Smiling at the idea of riding a horse out of the city and back home. It'd be risky to find one still in the city with everything laid to waste but finding one was a better alternative than rushing out of the city just to die in the wilderness. "So where to find a horse?" He asked out-loud, feeling a bit more confident with a plan in mind. Normally he would have tried the royal stable but he didn't want to get any closer to the castle since that'd probably be where most of the remnants of the demonic forces would be, looting and basking in their victory. If he could make it past the two inner walls, looking in the stables next to the travelers' inn could be worth a shot.

Finally Jamie stood up, with his staff in hand and a plan in mind. He'd try to head south to at least get past the closest wall and away from the castle. He wished his red attire didn't make him stand out as much, but it was comforting to wear, and it was after all the only clothes he had. He touched the feather in his hat for good luck before beginning to walk slowly and carefully southward.

Kira had sat for the better part of a day in her latest hiding spot, her eyes cast down at the floor with her knees pulled tightly to her chest as she tried to ignore the sickening smell of burning flesh that still wafted about the area. The smell was, sadly, the only thing she had to remember the man who had helped keep her calm when all hell had broken loose and she was separated from her parents. She had no choice, really. The man had succumbed to some sort of ungodly demonic plague and she knew from the stories she had been told through her childhood the only way to stop the spread of the plague was to burn the source. And burn it she did. With tears welling up in her eyes, Kira had quietly dragged her short-lived protector out onto the street, covering him in kindling and set the pile alight, the trader had said it himself after all, 'I know it's horrible lass, but there's nowt we can do for the dead. Best to take no chances and not risk meeting Lomedae face to face, eh?'. Still, it had been a hard task which she took no joy in doing and as she sat there on the cold stone floor, Kira made a resolute decision to herself that she would be free of this city and not become like the pile of charred bones outside.

With a final deep breathe to steady herself, Kira made sure she had all her scavenged belongings on her before getting up and quietly moving to the entrance of the basement and slowly peering outside to make sure the smell of burning flesh hadn't attracted any unwanted attention. Once she was sure she was in the clear, Kira quickly pulled herself up and looked either end of the street before deciding it was best to head north-east, along the massive crater that seemed to have smashed a large section of the inner wall apart. She wasn't sure if it was smart or stupid, but Kira found herself hoping that whatever demons were left behind would be deeper in the ruined city, searching for survivors instead of guarding the obvious entrances and exits. Still, if one did appear, she always had her bow to defend herself...All she had to do was work up the courage to actually loose and arrow at another living being, demon or not.

Sonya covered her mouth to stifle a cry of fear and alarm. She was a healer, her job was to keep people alive and healthy. Now look at this... she was the only one to have survived that fall. That was cruel, somehow, that was so very cruel. If one of them would just move or groan in pain, then she could get them back up. But raising the dead was either in the realm of Necromancy... or the absent goddess' decree.

Tearing her eyes away from the broken bodies, the mage swallowed hard and conjured a small mote of light above her head. It was hard to see without light, even if it made her a target to whatever lurked down here. Actually... she just needed the light to feel some semblance of familiarity and warmth. Steeling herself, she headed in a direction where she didn't hear any animal noises. Sonya had to get out of here, find other survivors. If that failed... just leave. Get out of here. Survive.
Try not to cry.

Karlia
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Scavenge Roll: 16)
(Encounter Roll: 15)

You head out into the streets. The city seems to mostly smell of sulfur at this point and it looked even worse. You decide to head to try to find a nearby inn and try to scavenge some food and supplies. You make your way down the street a few blocks until you come across such an inn.

It's roof was collapsed in and the sign telling it's name was smeared beyond recognition. Despite that, you might still be able to find something on the first floor or in the basement. You step inside and are greeted by the sight of four Fallen.

Fallen are living mortals, such as Humans or Elves, that've been enthralled by the dark powers. They follow all commands given by demons and only act on their own to satisfy a basic urge... to breed.

These ones all appear to be human with pitch black skin and red eyes. They groan and rush across the tavern toward you, with large dicks between their legs getting more erect by the moment...

(Stealth roll: 11 vs 20)
(Encounter roll: 10)

You decide to head south-east and search for a breach or the gates leading to the Commons and the Outer Quarter. The smell of sulfur permeates the air and the condition of the city matched this strong smell. Buildings were almost all damaged in some way: roofs blown out, doors torn off, walls collapsed, and some burned down to their foundations.

You do your best to avoid being out in the open and trying to remain hidden from any prying eyes. Unfortunately, as you turn by a certain town house, you come upon three Demon Orcs, Orcs who came from the Abyss rather than the mortal plane. The main physical difference was hairless skin bluish-grey skin tone where normal Orcs looked more green. They were the rank and file among the Abyssal armies. They were nearly 7ft tall, thick bulging muscles except a slightly thicker mid-section, and only loincloths on their person, which barely concealed their large groins. They relied on their inherently tough skin and natural weapons.

As you cross into the alley, the three of them turn to face you and one of them yells, "Hey, look, a new toy! C'mere!"

The second Orc says, "Hey, that's a boy, what the hell do we-"

"So what? Look at that ass! We can have some fun."

"Yeah, guess you're right, haha."

(Encounter roll: 19)

You take some time to calm yourself down and cope with the dire situation you were in, and with the catastrophe that's around you. After you've regained your bearings, you decide you need to find something to aid in your escape and inevitable travel - a horse. You aim yourself southward and hope a traveler's inn would still have some equine creatures for you to commandeer.

The buildings you pass by are mostly destroyed as the Royal Quarter received the worst of the army's wrath. You shudder to think what befell those who were captured. As you're passing through the Royal Park, which has a small pond, you hear a door slam. You turn and see two Fallen exiting one of the few intact town houses. They break into a sprint as soon as they lay eyes upon you.

They were once Human, but were forcefully enthralled by dark powers, and now have one sentient desire: to fuck. As they move toward you, their cocks seem to enlarge, so there may be little doubt as to which urge they tend to fulfill on your supple body.

(Encounter roll: 1)

Your survival instincts allow you to do what's necessary to stay alive in such a dire and extraordinary situation. It takes you sometime to collect your feelings and stabilize your mind before you can consider a course of action. Once the initial trauma has passed, you decide what you need to do next.

You decide to head North-East and head for the breach in the wall. There was little doubt Demons were still around somewhere, but you hoped that you wouldn't have to face them. A fleeting hope.

The crater seems to lead right to the breach, but as you clamber to the top of a hill, you get a view of the breach itself. The view was anything but welcoming. You see a large encampment of demons. Orcs, Imps, Fallen, and a few other types. They numbered three or four dozen with about half as many tents and campfires setup. They were laughing, eating, and... sharing captive people for sexual release, it seems.

You could still try to sneak by the camp and get through the breach, but being this close was already very dangerous.

The initial trauma is enough to shake you to your core, as it would be for almost anyone. You contemplate your life and your situation for awhile before you start thinking of your next course of action. The sewer walls and floor were cold to the touch. The occasional howl or scream is unnerving at the least. With the goal of escaping and not to cry, you move forward with purpose.

You try not to head toward the eerie sounds you hear, but it was difficult. Loud noises in the sewers seemed to echo throughout the entire complex, making it hard to discern the origin. Despite that, you do your best and eventually, turn a corner to find a manhole you could climb out of. But you weren't alone.

You see three Demons, known as Cambions. They're about the size of Humans and don't look altogether friendly toward you when they see you approach. They're very muscular and have bright red skin.

One of them says, "I thought there'd be nothing down here. Jackpot."

"Fallen..." Karlia's voice was filled with venom, she had seen these thralls before having snuffed out small pockets of demonic influence before, but it disgusts her to no end seeing that such weak minds have allowed themselves to be taken by demonic powers. No matter even in her weaker state a paladin of Iomedae would not lose, though if she could still call upon her goddesses's powers this would be easier...

Drawing her greatsword Karlia readies herself taking a defensive position ready to take down the first Fallen to come within range of her mentor's blade. "By the goddess your souls will be freed!" She let out warcry in an attempt to psyche herself up

Sonya flinches when she sees the trio of demons. They sent a party of raiders into the sewer? She gulped, taking a few steps back. The logical part of her mind told her that even without her little beacon, they'd be able to track her perfectly fine in the dark. The more primal part of her wanted to run.
...
This wasn't going to work. Shivering, she held her staff before her, still taking steps back. Fire wouldn't do much on Cambions... right? OK how about Heali- no, no these weren't undead.
Light, light should work.

"S-stay back!"
The tip of her staff flared with blinding light, a beam of energy arcing from it. Best case scenario, her spell hit all of them. Worse case... she made them mad. On that note, Sonya cursed her foolish stutter. If she were confident in this horrifying scenario, then maybe she could scare them!

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Attack roll: 7 vs. 13, 19, 6, 3)

You ready yourself in a defensive stance and to cleave your blade against the first foe to approach. The first Fallen to get close is cleaved in two by your might sword, and the second one to get is caught in your backswing and knocked to the floor.

Unfortunately, the next two close in on you simultaneously and wrestle with your arms, all the while rubbing their cocks along your body. You were schooled, as a paladin, in the basic aspects of a demon, and that included their corrupting precum. You feel the moist spots on your clothing from where they start to eagerly grind against you while simultaneously trying to take your weapon from you and pin you on the floor. You start to feel your body heat up against you will and your pussy moisten at the dicks grinding their demonic seed into you. Despite this, you still have control of yourself and the focus to continue fighting back... if you so choose...

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Spellcast roll: 24 vs. 3, 14, 13, 10)
(-2 MP)

The one in front says, "We'll make you feel really good, I promise."

You let out a bright flash of light from your staff as the demons start to approach you with sinful intentions. The illumination is enough to brighten the entire tunnel in every direction. It's as if the goddess herself radiated from your spell for but a brief moment. The demons catch the full blast and drop their weapons due to the sudden flare.

When the glimpse of light ends, the Cambrions are groaning and rubbing their eyes in pain. They seem to be briefly subdued, and blinded, and it would be easy for you to run past them to the ladder leading up to the surface, or to run away from them.

"Un-Hand me!!" Karelia struggled against the two fallen that managed to break through her defensive posture and started to wrestle with her. Without her second hand using the greatsword would be incredibly difficult especially without her goddess's divine fury. Using her off hand she would try her best to wrench it away from the Fallen and go for her dagger and attack the one preventing her from using her greatsword then take the both of them out. She would need to act quickly as the battle would now become a battle of attrition, they will try to infect her slowly if they can't bring her to the ground and subdue her.

Karlia
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Attack roll: 12 vs. 19, 11, 3)
(Will roll: 5) (-1 LP)

You draw your dagger with your free hand and quickly drive it into one the Fallen's skulls. He collapses to the ground, but as he falls, the second one you'd knocked over clambers back up and tackles you, forcing you to the ground (-1 HP), with the other one also still on top of you. They don't have you pinned yet, but you were at a disadvantageous position now. Your dagger hand was still free, but you were facing resistance as the two remaining Fallen slowly figure out they need to stop your weapons. You lose grip of your greatsword and it clambers to the floor. It might only be a matter of seconds before they rip your clothing off. You feel their grubby hands grabbing at your thighs and their thick cocks throbbing against your sides...

There was a loud gasp oh air as the paladin fell to the ground. She could feel her grasp on her mentor's heavy blade fall away and a look for horror stuck itself on her face. She'd never let it touch the ground before. She felt weak and powerless and if her mentor were still alive she could feel the sham well up inside her once again.
"Get! Get off!" Karelia grew a bit desperate she never really used her dagger for much outside skinning he occasional animal and now she needed to find the strength to push off 2 Fallen and get back to her sword. She use her dagger to stab at the one most directly on top of her to alleviate the weight the fight off the last fallen by making a dive for her greatsword once she's managed to get them off.

Elli gasps and curses as he is spotted, looking towards the orcs he draws back the arrow, his anger building as they insult and talk about what they have planned for him. Glaring he takes aim and fires at the closest orc, intent on bringing it down or at least slowing it down enough to draw another arrow and fire a second, stepping back constantly to try and keep as much distance as he can before finally drawing his sword to fight them in melee combat.

As she crested the hill and was subjected to the vile sight below, Kira's sharp eyes opened wide and, for the first time in her life, she cursed her elven heritage as she was forced to spectate the state of depravity going on below in crystal clear detail thanks to the sharp sight she inherited from her mother. She stood almost mesmerized for a moment being finally tearing herself away from the scene below, just barely able to keep from crying aloud in fear and frustration at what they had been doing to their captives while feeble ideas of heroism and rescue flit across her mind but were quickly stamped out. She wanted to help people, yes, but going anywhere near that camp was suicide and she knew it.

With all the willpower she could muster, Kira turned her back on the camp, and all the poor trapped souls within, and headed back the way she came while silently muttering an apology to every face that had just became etched into her mind, the looks of fear and despair still clear on their face as the image of just what was being done to each and ever one of them refused to budge from Kira's innocent mind.

Heading back the way she came, Kira began hugging herself so try and wring out any modicum of comfort she could from the situation as she tried to come up with a new plan to escape the city. Her fears had sadly been correct that the main entrances and exits to the city were well guarded which meant that; A. She was going to be here longer than she liked. And B. she would likely have to be more creative when it came to fleeing for her safety. Nodding to herself slightly, Kira closed her eyes for a moment as she formulated a plan. She knew she would need rations most of all, hunger would make her become clumsy and unaware of her surroundings, though some spare arrows, extra clothing and even maybe some rope would be extremely helpful to the situation as well.

Sighing slightly, Kira once again nodded to herself and this time set off to the south, making sure to keep into the shadows of the now derelict buildings while she went about quietly searching the surrounding areas for anything of value to her that would aid in her actual escape of the city.

Karlia
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Attack roll: 6 vs.19, 11)

You try to stab at the Fallen on top of you and he swats the knife from your hand. The dagger clanks across the floor, sliding even farther out of reach than your greatsword. You feel your top suddenly yanked down, revealing your breasts to the warm air. One of the Fallen latches onto your fat tit and begins sucking hungrily on your erect nipple. The other Fallen scrunches your skirt up around your waist and his hand rubs roughly against your panty-clad pussy. It seems to be focusing on your clit with its middle finger as it makes you more moist by the second.

You were enjoying their lust filled touches way more than you'd ever admit. Their dicks were practically begging for attention as they grinded against your body, smearing more of their corrupting precum on your skin, turning your resistance gradually to jello. All was not lost, but any chance of escaping their pleasurable caresses was fading by the second. They let go of your arms and you could still try to break free and get to one of your weapons.

'Elli'
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Attack roll: 19 vs. 7, 5, 18)

You take aim as the Orcs approach you with something other than lethal intentions. With the advantage of range, you loose an arrow into the closest Orc's chest and he buckles to one knee, but doesn't die. A second quickly notched arrow goes through his head and finishes him off. The other two sprint towards you and you manage to loose a third arrow into the shoulder of the closest one, causing him to stall up and grab his shoulder in pain. You have no time to notch another arrow and drop your bow in favor of unsheathing your blade to attack the one approaching you.

You slice at him and draw a thin gash across his cheek. He grins and throws his shoulder at you. You don't fully dodge the blow, but move enough out of the way that he only glances across your chest.

The injured Orc yanks the arrow out of his shoulder and also charges at you. However, the wound causes him to be slightly off-balanced and you easily dodge his attempt at tackling you.

Now, you had two Orcs in melee with you, ready to take advantage of any opening you might give.

Kira
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Steath Roll: 23)
(Encounter Roll: 6)
(Scavenge roll: 10)

You decide to leave the demon camp, and leave the captives to whatever fate the gods had in store for them, and head south, looking for another way out of the Inner Quarter. You do everything in your power to remain unseen and stick to the shadows of the structures still standing. You come across a large chasm in the Earth, cutting into the sewers underneath Edlos. Whatever caused this was surely a creature of great power and hopefully you would never have to see it yourself.

After some time, you see some odd wet fungus growing through the stone and grass in some places. Being careful not to step on it, you continue onward until you arrive at a small open plaza. In the center, you see a creature that is a 9 ft. tower of flesh, with many tentacles coming from it. You've never seen or heard of a demon like this before, nor have any clue what it's capable of. The ends of its tentacles looked exactly like cocks - thick ones, at that.

Thankfully, it doesn't seem to notice you, so you could attempt to slip by it, or take a detour to try to get around it completely, though it would mean lengthening your trip. You do notice a tavern adjacent to the creature that might have some supplies, though that carry the full weight of the risk if you go rummaging around it. You also had the option of trying to kill the beast, though it was extremely tall and was practically a tower of flesh. It was hard to tell if it had a weak point, and if so, where it might be. You shiver when you imagine what all those cock tentacles might do to you...

Elli dodges around, pivoting from one foot to the other, trying his best to keep them at bay, using the sword more as an instrument of danger the fear of it coming into contact with their flesh to stop them from rushing him. Panting he looks between the pair, going on the attack was definitely going o leave him open but if he did nothing he'd soon be surrounded and then they could just rush him. Panting his face flushed he moves in to strike the injured one, hoping to finish him off and leave him with only one more to deal with, either way he had to act and he doubts surrendered was going to help him escape this place anymore than defeat, though he does think that they'd be extra rough with him after this if he does fail to fend them off.

It's over she couldn't win... The Fallen or most likely there was something wrong with her. Her resistance was fading faster faster and when she lost her dagger she could feel her defiance fade. Iomedae could not, and would not protect her from these demons...

Karlia laid there not moving a muscle except for spreading her legs to give the Fallen easier access. The once proud and powerful paladin even unable to defend herself from the lowest of demons. She allowed them to use her as they wished this would be her punishment for failure in combat.

Fallen weren't good but were definitely manageable. Jamie was still scared out of his mind though when he saw them start chasing him with their giant cocks out. He knew from his studies that they didn't have much of higher brain function, mostly just instincts and the urge to breed or fuck. Holy magic probably would have been extremely effective against them but Jamie wanted to conserve his offensive magic for bigger threats to avoid getting worn out. Instead, he opted for illusion magic as he ran. Nothing too fancy, simply the illusion of a naked girl with white hair running away diagonally from the direction Jamie was running. Hopefully a naked woman would be more enticing to these base beasts than a fully-clothed mage.

All of this didn't bode well and Jamie's mind had been racing since the demon attack started. Where and how did they amass a force this huge without tipping off any seers? There had always been contingencies and preventatives in place to stop hordes from amassing in such numbers and all that demonic magic concentrated should have set off some signals or disturbances. At the very least, some extremely powerful forces were at work, Edelin shouldn't have fallen this easily.

Sonya gasped in joy as she saw her spell work. In fact, it did its job perfectly. Had she been focusing more, she could have perhaps used an offensive attack, a proper deadly beam of light. But this was spur of the moment stuff. She would take what she got, running past the blinded demons and preparing a more deadly spell should they come at her again.
With staff in hand, Sonya climbed the ladder as fast as she could, sticking her head outside to get a look around. Depending on what she saw, she might decide she'd fare better with the Cambions.
