New York City, New York, USA after E-Day

The year is 2015. The world continues to sway back and forth between war and peace, as it's done for all of human history. In the last hundred years, technology has revolutionized the world and created a global community. People can email, Skype, or call individuals on the other side of the world in seconds. Weapons haven't slouched behind either. World powers wield super bombs capable of bringing the human race to extinction. However, even this is about to be eclipsed by a new type of human, the Meta Human.

A now infamous catastrophe occurred January 1st, 2015, 12:01 AM, now known as The Day of Supernatural Eclipse, or "E-Day." Right as the ball in Times Square, New York City, dropped and brought in the new year, the sky began to swirl. For the whole world to see, a purple and black portal appeared over the square. Many thought it was a laser light show or some new optical trick as part of the celebration. Once the portal was fully formed, dozens of creatures fell from the sky and landed on the ground with a city shaking earthquake. Altogether, there were 39 of the beings. They were all very different in color, shape, and intrinsic design. Some were bipedal, some were quadrapedal, and some were avian. They began reeking unabashed terror on the thousands of people present, raping, murdering, and destroying. Conventional weapons couldn't stop them and before long, the USA declared a state of emergency. The entirety of the city was blocked off and quarantined by the military. The beings, demons, monsters, or whatever they were, had seemingly no desire to leave the city and continued to rampage. Now, New York is a lawless land in which the millions of people stave off and fight for survival against each other and the monsters who occasionally stream from the portal.

When the USA brought this problem to the United Nations, it was deemed a US problem, and other than humanitarian relief, the council would not take action. However, that would not be the last of the appearances. Throughout the world, sightings begin to surface of similar monsters, prominently in Britain and Japan. Two months after E-Day, Japan, Britain, and USA sign a treaty to build an international defense force with the sole purpose of finding a way to defeat these creatures.

Three months after E-Day, in conjunction to the sightings of monsters, more bizarre rumors surface. People who combust fire out of thin air, who project lightning from their hands, and who command kinetic force with their minds. The news began calling them 'meta humans,' a term coined by a lead British reporter. Before long, the international supernatural defense force makes it their priority to seek out these people. They rename their division to "The Meta Human Division", or The MHD. It seemed only these individuals had the strength to combat the monsters appearing across Earth, and perhaps in time, retake New York.

Six months after E-Day, the MHD Project Directors Lillian Casey from the USA, Kimiko Ai from Japan, and Rufus Cunningham from Britain, begin interviewing the few meta humans they've been able to convince to come to MHD and help them fight against these monstrosities of the unknown.

Jisoo jumps at the pronunciation of his name from then blond, Lilian. Two syllables was all it took but for whatever reason people almost always ended up botching the inflection, not this time surprisingly. He nods at the words that follow. 'Committed, disciplined' sounded like his first couple of interviewers picking out the words he'd put into his cover letter, did they have that information too? He looks around at the mention of a 'team' and confirms that it's just himself in the room at the moment before giving a nervous sigh and standing when they ask about his powers.

"I-I discovered the first bit when I was cooking." He says in a perfect American accent, "My i-injuries heal far faster than they're supposed to." He nods to himself and holds out an ad before bringing a well kept and manicured nail to his forearms and pressing it into his skin until it draws blood. He doesn't even flinch as he creates a sizable cut that drips a single bright red drop of blood onto the ground before he wipes blood trail away to reveal his arm perfectly whole once more.

He sits back down after a moment and puts his hands in his lap before shivering under the expectant gaze of the three officials across from him and he shifts his gaze from one to the other, not keeping eye contact for long. When it becomes clear they expect more he clears his throat. "I-I also discovered my other gift when one of my students was i-injured during a sighting." He says almost certain that this information is fully in their grasp already. He holds up a hand and points his fingers lazily at Kimiko before every inch of his smooth skin that was exposed glows with a gentle white halo as his healing powers focus on the Japanese woman. "I can heal others without touching them... t-though there's the side effect of their bodies reacting a bit warmly as they're stitched back up." He says before releasing his concentration and looking at each of them in turn again. "That's all I've encountered so far concerning these new abilities of mine."

Tessa sits quietly and look at at each of the three people in turn as they speak, She already knows why she's here and she was prepared for it, Tessa wasn't nervous about this interview she was purely excited to show these people just what she could do! She gives Rufus a smile once he tells her his name. It was nice to hear about her fathers prestigious military record aswell, she knew she was making her father proud by being here, but Tessa's eye light up when it's confirmed to her that she will be helping the war effort to throw back the invaders that started appearing on E-Day.

When Tessa is asked to tell them about her powers she gives a wide grin " Awk sure I can do better than that, I can show ya'!" Tessa ruffles in the pockets of her leather jacket and produces a pen and holds it up in front of Rufus and the other two woman, "hope you're ready!"with a laugh suddenly the pen bursts into flames "Pretty cool, huh? but that's not all!" As quickly as the flames appeared they died away again. Before long the pen begins to form ice crystals and a cold mist starts emanating from it, Tessa raises her eyebrows "It might not look like much...but you would pretty much lose your finger to frostbite if you touched this pen right now haha" . Again Tessa looks back to the pen and the ice crystals quickly melt away, sparks and small arcs of lightning start jumping off the pen, Tessa laughs again "There's enough juice in this pen to jump start a small car now!....but for my final trick.."

Tessa discharges the pen before putting it down on the table, taking off her jacket and rolling up the sleeves of her shirt, suddenly her left forearm becomes engulfed in flames, her right forearm starts to freeze over, the cold mist now emanating from her arm and her hands behind to crackle with electricity, sparks and arcs again jumping off "I can do this with my whole body aswell!" letting the fire, ice and lightning drop from her body Tessa puts her jacket back on, leans back into the chair and folds her arms "And just imagine what I can do with my assault rifle!..anyway, what do you think?" Tessa's smile is practically reaching ear to ear after being able to give her demonstration.

Jack jumps when he hears the people talking in the room, finally recovering from his flight to wherever the hell he is right now. Flying never really suits him all that well and usually will knock himself out to prevent himself from going into a panicking fit. It also means that he goes out for a very long time and will need the assistance from someone else to get him back up from his slumber, or take a day to recover. How he managed to stay asleep for this long getting in here is anyone guess beyond him, but here he is right now and he is just as confused as ever. Partly in that he is looking through the eyeholes of his pumpkin and noticing three people of different nationalities, the middle one speaking to him, and his head is buzzing from him trying to play catch up. The timing of this whole situation is absolutely perfect, but Jack can't complain too much about it.

Letting out a sigh and letting a hand reach under his pumpkin to rub his face, Jack slowly got himself back to realize where he is at while taking off his pumpkin so he can reveal his pale, tired face to the people in the room. With his red hair all over the place from resting himself inside of a plastic pumpkin all this time, he parts a few bangs from his eyes as he focuses on the woman talking to him. Catching his name, it's a little surprising to hear all of it at once, which makes him wonder if he's destined for something much grander or possibly darker depending on how long he has left to live on this world. Also the pronunciation of his last name is nothing all that new to him, it is quite the last name to pronounce to begin with. Not to mention it doesn't have the right ring to it coming from an American's mouth, whatever part of the country she's from. He doesn't really care all that much, it's nothing he should really care all that much about right now.

Hearing about his thing with plants, the young man reaches toward his hip and pulls out a bag containing a load of seeds inside of it. He gives it a small toss onto the table, letting it sit there before opening it up and revealing a couple of the different variety of seeds he has inside. "Well to start off, I'm not entirely sure when I acquired the ability to control plants," he replied, leaning back in his seat, kicking his feet onto the table and rubbing a hand behind his head while tossing a couple seeds in his other hand. "I guess way back when I was in a scientist class when we're learning biology and was assigned to take care of a bean plant, my project was surprisingly bigger than everyone else's, even getting a more bountiful batch as well. Plus I've seen some flowers peeling away from the sun and follow me when I'm walking to and from school, so there is a rather strange attraction that I have with them."

As he was talking, Jack throws a seed back into the bag where it came from and holds onto one to allow it to grow in the palm of his hand. He allows the little seedling to blossom, creating a tiny little flower for the others to see as he smiles and continues on with his history. "For the bag itself and these plants, I've acquired them from this woman that works at the same carnival I worked at, telling me that these will help me with any situation that I find myself in. I doubt that I'll be using them here, but you'll probably want a demonstration of what I can do, so here you go," he said, putting the flower down on the table and letting it grow for the three agents to watch and be in awe about. "I don't exactly trust her all that much, but it seems like these particular seeds seem more than willing to work for my own cause than the witch that gave me these seeds." He frowns a bit, wondering how that woman is doing, but he's not going to mind all that much about her well being, seeing that she managed to survive long enough in a swamp and has done some freaky mumbo jumbo to make his spine shiver from whatever she has cooking in her hut when he had to visit her. Not once does he want to see her large curvaceous figure take another dip in the mud pools closeby to her home ever again...

Instead, he has other women to focus on and he kept his cool throughout this entire process. Mostly in that he is still waking up from his slumber, but there's matters to worry about than getting himself down inside of some woman's pants. "They were fiercely loyal and I treated them right. If none of these other 'meta humans' cross me, then I won't cross then. Hell I might even a few new friends in a place like this." We ruled LA. And how do you think I managed to burn down so many houses without being caught! "This is a nice facility you have and if you want to know the extent of my powers well you'd probably want me at the range if you've got one. At least if you want a demonstration." As she says demonstration she lifts the lit lighter directly in front of her and blows it out. "I'm capable of throwing multiple little 'fire bolts' with the help of this lighter. They're small but pretty easy to make, im frankly still new at this only just getting my powers a week ago Ya know. I can throw them pretty far maybe 60-80 feet striking anything it hits and scorching it. My other ability would be a bit more unstable but much more devestation and that would be the flame mortar. I ball up as much fire as I can into one hand usually takes me a minute to get it ready but then I lob it into the air like I'm throwing a grenade or something when it splashes down the ball of fire bursts! In all directions coating the surrounding area in fire it's gorgeous....though the ball isn't terribly big maybe a ten diameter sphere at most."

She pauses to let the information sink in. "Did I pass your dumb interview?"

"Yes it's Jade, Jade is fine." She answers nodding to Rufus with a slight smile before looking to the two women. Listening to the pair talk and ask for her power Jade gives a small nod as she rubs her arms "I'll need room. If I am to show it, explaining doesn't quite give the image good enough." She states with a nervous look before standing up. Moving the chair she was sat it right off to the side she looks around to confirm she has enough room before focusing. "I transform my body into that of a monster... as a start. I'm stronger, tougher more agile, I can climb walls too." She explains before her body begins to contort and warp before there eyes, her own eyes pinched closed in concentration before she stands before them in her bestial form. "This is me." She states her voice deeper more strain to find words before shaking her head and looking down at her hands. "These too." she states before growing out her claws, her arms bulging and warping to take on the huge claws before she stands there awaiting their opinion and for her personally, approval.

Jack slowly begins to recover himself, returning back to his normal self as he tries to understand more about what he is getting himself into. Hearing something about E-Day, it is getting him to wonder just what is that all about. News about it was all over the place and he didn't try to focus too much on the matter all that much, instead working towards his goals of getting toward college and possibly onto bigger and better things than working at his little carnival. What does get to him is the matter that it happened in New York of all places. Lillian must've been shaken up by it, but what makes it such the place that all of these strange events occur there. He heard all of these stories about heroes in flashy costumes doing all they can to protect this one singular city, including gods of all people, so there must be something going on that makes New York such the necessary city to protect.

With his thoughts of pondering about a city he's never visited in his life aside, he hears about letting his plants spread about through places like Chernobyl and he chuckles at the thought. "Well I doubt that my plants would survive a land like that," he replied with a smirk on his face. "I may be able to grow plants but I'm not a miracle worker. Stuff like that will die, but that isn't to say that I can't work towards it. Give me a plot in the desert and I might have an oasis... provided I have someone that can give me the water to keep them growing as well." He might be able to rapidly grow plants from his body, but he knows the limit once he steps away from them, and surely if he is going to be helping revive dead land then he's going to need some help in getting all of that going and keep going once he is away.

He raises an eyebrow at the mention of the woman who gave him the bag and he closes it off before returning it to his side. "I don't know much about her, she usually keeps to herself and only talks when she needs something done," he added, rubbing his head with his fingers combing his hair. "For many of us, we simply referred to her as the Swamp Witch, for pretty obvious reasons, and she's not all that keen about the title itself despite her dressing the part of it. She's not also the social kind of person to boot so talking to her about things isn't going to turn out well. I managed to escape one thing after my friends decided it would be a good idea to pull something on her, and I barely got them out. I just want to take caution if you want to visit her."

Seeing that he is about ready to be release to meet up with new people, Jack got himself up from his seat and stretches. He really needs that after spending most of the time asleep, and meeting new people should also help put him in the good mood as well. It'll allow him to meet up with some new faces, learn about them and see what he can do to put them in a good mood. Plus he is going to be sticking around Japan, wherever that may be in Japan, so he isn't going to be knocking himself out anytime soon.

Then something just popped into his head. "Oh, I forgot to mention I can do this," he said before inhaling. He tilts his head up and lets out a small puff of air, creating a very small purple cloud of pollen and he looks back at the people with a smile. "You may want to keep clear of that," he said, pointing up to the cloud. "It's a little something that I've picked up and whenever I blow some of this, it usually ends with clothes ending up on the floor. It's good for late night fun, but I think you're interested in getting things done today, after all. It's best to avoid this when you can." Jack gives himself another good stretch before thinking about what he wants to ask. "So is there a place I'm going to be staying at and I guess I'll be getting roommates during this time? And we're free to explore wherever we're at? I never really got the chance to leave my little town and it''ll be nice to take in the sights to get an understanding of what's going on in the world."

Lauren bares her teeth to Lillian for just a moment when she mentions her gang members, but realizes that as long as she's out here she can help them, but if she ever sees Jack, that double crossing bastard again she'll murder him on sight. "Like I said, if my 'team' doesnt cross me, i wont cross them. simple as that"

Hearing that they wanted a demonstration of her abilities she lights her zippo again and a wide grin appears across her face. "If you say so."

With that she swiftly locks the zippo in special strap on her left wrist to keep the flame out of the wind and have it act as a preigniter like one you'd find on a flamethrower. The redheaded woman kicks her feet to one side practically rolling off the chair and table to a standing position. Taking a couple of breathes to bring up her form and build a bit of confidence Lauren slips her right hand over the flame using her thumb, index and middle fingers she grabs a small wisp of flame making a motion similar to nocking an arrow. With the wisp in hand she takes another deep breath to expand the wisp into the size of a baseball as she exhales she throws the little bolt of fire at full speed smacking it against titanium wall leaving a good sized scorch mark.

When show and tell appears to be over and they ask him what other questions he has, Jisoo nods and speaks up, "Well, I wanted to know what our living arrangements would be and how we would be getting deployed. Will I have any say in the sort of group I'm sent out with? Not to be rude but some people are likely to abuse powers they have if they're not such... gentle ones as mine. I'd rather not be stuck with a bunch of raging megalomaniacs expecting me to take care of them when they run in and destroy things." He sighs, "Excuse my rudeness but it's been a stressful time for the lot of us. It's a lot of change to deal with and all. I'll do my part here as I'm needed to but I still would like to know how things are going to be put together." He stands and gives a small nod to the group before his eyes wander over Kimiko again until he catches himself.

Georgia tapped her gloved hand of the table as she looked across from it at the three individuals in front of her, her eyes shifting to look at each of there faces. The Asian spoke first, some what nervous by the should of her voice. She was older than her by a few years but from the way she was acting she was new to this, or just scared about being in the room with her. She introduced herself before the woman in the middle began to speak. A small smile appeared on her face at the mention of money, the one thing she needed most in this world. The woman began to ask her something before the man cut her off in a somewhat posh English accent that made her question if they were from the same country. He seemed more to the point, asking about her power, making her question how much these three knew.

Georgia let out a small sigh before standing from her seat. "I thought you would already know what you have here." She grabbed her glove and pulled it off revealing a hand made out of shinny pitch black carapace, further revealing it as she pulled up her sleeve to show her whole right arm was like that. "As you can see I've got a very rare skin condition." She said, tapping the table again, this time make a sound like she was tapping a stone on it. "Oh and it tends to leak." A small smirk on her face as a drop of lava flowed out of a finger and on to the table, burning into it before cooling. "Lucky that was just a small one."

Tessa raised an eyebrow at Kimiko taking down sketches of her, trying to see over the edge of the folder to make sure she was catching her good side. She was also slightly depressed the interviewers were not as in awe of her as she had hoped, all the while Tessa was only half listening to Rufus' explaination of how her skin doesnt melt away or become permanently frozen when when uses her powers on her self "Ah, uhm...yea sure that sounds about right!" really having no actual idea of what he had just said. When Rufus declares that himself, Kimiko and Lillian are all Meta's aswell Tessa also whoops with excitement "Oh awesome! what can you guys do?" thats when tells Lillian it's her turn and suddenly the table starts to float in the air, Tessa's eyes grow as big as saucers "ooooooohhhh...EEP!" Tessa lets out a small squeal as she is also lifted of the ground, She clings tightly to the edges on the chair, trying her hardest not to fall off even though she was only a few inches of the ground.

When Tessa is set back down her cheeks are glowing with a mixture of excitement from having met another meta with what she thought were awesome powers and embarrassment for having let out a squeal like she did, swiftly trying to move on, "yea I have a few actually, Firstly I'm guessing the others out there are all like me and you want them to help in the fight aswell...soooooo where exactly will we all be staying? and also what sort of things will we be up against? " Tessa pauses for a second, intrigue filling her eyes "But first ...what kind of powers do you two have?" looking at Rufus and Kimiko with a look of anticipation and wonder.

Emile simply raised an eyebrow as his cover was blown, then he straightened his tie and brushed out a few wrinkles in his vest. He ran his hands through his hair slowly to give them the impression that he didn't care about his past being exposed before slowly returning Lillian's stare. "If you know who I am then you probably knew that using my past identity to buy my help isn't the best idea." Cracking his knuckles before tapping his fingernails on the steel table, never breaking eye contact with the woman. "You must be very certain of yourself and your two comrades to think there isn't any chance of me flipping this table over and beating all three of you to death." He said flatly before adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves. "Or perhaps you just assume that your powers outclass mine." He let his words sink in, leaving the room in silence except for his constant tapping. He knew they wouldn't have told him they about him so soon unless they had insurance they he wouldn't try to kill them to keep his secret. They knew the type of people they were dealing with, special people that were incredibly dangerous with the potential for great destruction. He allowed his eyes to trace the woman's outline, committing her figure to memory before continuing. "Regardless of your plans, I do intend on helping and staying so this is more of me telling you that if you continue to use my past as a bargaining chip that things will go bad. I expect to be paid substantially and given access to requisitions like any other employee." The tapping having finally stopped as he laid out his terms. "As for my powers? You can wait until I perform in the field to see them. I gain nothing by revealing all my strengths to you right now. We aren't allies, yet." The former enforcer thought he had handled that pretty well, setting the tone for their relationship by standing his ground and making himself known as someone that would not allow himself to be on a short leash. So far he hadn't smiled or frowned despite being livid over his identity being found out so soon but he was pleased by the news that several national agencies hadn't been able to sniff him despite him being on the most wanted list in a couple of countries. This organization MHD however seemed to have things that trumped intelligence agencies in information gathering, something Emile was very interested in. He didn't mind working for them but if they could find information on him then he'd need to find and possibly neutralize the source once he finished working for them. At least they didn't know everything about his powers, he mused as he continued to unerringly stare at the blonde woman. He figured that they would eventually see his main ability that allowed his skin and bones to harden, granting him more defense against weapons and bullets while also allowing him to break people with ease. His other ability that allowed him to create a perfect physical duplicate of himself that could fight just as good as him for a limited time would stay his to keep secret until he felt it was the right time. "Is that all or do you still want to play games with me? My time isn't cheap and I'd like to get to work ASAP."

"I could...?" Zoe echoed sarcastically, slouched in her chair, "Incriminate myself? Give you evidence to lock me in that padded cell? Poke me with needles and all that other sick science shit? I saw Firestarter, didn't end well for anyone and I aint no 'Charlie'."

Grabbing her smokes from inside her old race jacket she made the effort of slowly lighting one with the old zippo lighter, taking a long slow drag and blowing smoke at the three nonchalantly.

"My CO was dick, and a stupid dick at that, drove us straight into that ambush," She took another drag, "When I got out I threatened to set his balls on fire... so what if I was waving around a spray tin of lighter fluid at the time... look what else do you want me to give you? The whole 'you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" bit?"

Willow sat on the otherside of the table with a smirk, looking like she was just about to have a normal conversation between two, or rather four, instead of being sat across from three people who want a girl in the mafia fight against the epidemic that really she is only concerned with because it has sprang up too close to home for her liking. She sits quietly as they talk, not changing her expression except to raise an eyebrow at the mention of the FBI. They were getting the Americans to hunt down the Irish? Things really must be dire then.
When asked about her powers, she just sits forward before saying is a calm voice, letting her southern Irish accent through as she says "Well I can't just show it to ya. Ain't no want of refusing ya, just ya would need to bring be down to a shooting range first."
She goes to reach into her pocket for her cigarettes and lighter, only to remember they were taken off her along with her gun on her way here. "Sorry, would one of ya happen to have my cigarettes? Fancy one at the minute. Anyways for the next part of it..."
With that, she tries to use her powers to make all their folders slam closed. "It's really just instead of having one huge telekinetic ability, I seem to have many smaller ones. Lets me be more delicate and accurate when the situation calls for it. But you guys probably already know that..."
With that, she tries to quickly use her powers to pull the folder away in front of Rufus and make it stop in the table in front of her. If it worked, she would pick it up and say "It would all be in here, wouldn't it? I just wonder what else it says about me..."
