Saskia laughs a little bit at the small exchange between Zek and his compatriot, the King keeps his military happy, though should he really need to rule through force? The thoughts whipped around her mind as she tried to piece together what was happening in this country. "Don't worry Zek, i'm not here to cause trouble. Though..are the paladins just a religious organization? Do they not assist the military at all? Part of the reason the Envoy is here is because of these extraordinary warriors."
Thats when Saskia notices the hand, the sudden warmth caused a shiver to run up her spine, but she glanced at the man and tried to move his hand away, though not in the most convincing or confident manner. It was probably his first time seeing an elf, so it shouldnt be a problem she thought.

"Missing clergy members, huh..." Rilienne quietly commented to herself. Wonder what that was all about. In such a bastion of religion, how could it be possible for those of faith to go missing? Then again... Perhaps it was because there were so many that they might go missing. Perhaps nobody had heard from them for days, for many reasons. Illness, keeping to one's self for a time, or perhaps darker things. "Regardless, it's nice to meet ya, Mister Gigas. Mind if I drop by your guild? I dabble a bit in the arcane. It'd be nice to find out more. I only know a few little tricks right now."

She wasn't all too surprised by the number of people at the docks- it was a coastal city, after all. And people flocking to the taverns... Well, she'd be able to get some information there, no doubt. Maybe earn a bit of extra coin with her performance. Who knew! The possibilities were... Potentially endless. She knew full well that a tavern only offered so much, but it was nice to hope.

"As for staying in the castle... Well, I'm a bit too social a butterfly for that. I'll be headed up there this evening, of course, but there's time before then. Any advice on places to go for some fun? Say, a good tavern."

Saskia
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Will Roll - 17)

Although you find yourself getting a little aroused at the sudden touching, you keep your composure and push the sailor's hand away shrewdly, but without revealing what was happening. You question Zek further and he shrugs and says, "The paladins serve the Arch-Bishop and the King. Never really been a problem... until now. No one expected the two to ever conflict."

The left sailor, who was touching your leg, speaks up, "Paladins work with the regular army as needed. They're one branch of the half-dozen Iometolis has. Suppose it comes with the territory with such a large city."

Zek puffs his cigar, finishing it, and puts it out on the table. You look down and see a half dozen other cigar stains, possibly even from him.

"What he's saying is they're religious and they're military, and they do what they want, according to Iomedae... the goddess."

Zek kisses two of his own fingers and raises them to the sky, "May she bless us."

Rilienne
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Vander says, "Our guild, much like Iometolis, is very solitary... Keeps to themselves. You can stop by, but I can't guarantee they'll let you in. I'm not actually high enough rank to authorize non-guild visitors. However, maybe they'd make an exception for a member of the Royal Envoy... I can't say for sure though."

The mage continues, "Our guild specializes in building golems. The stone here is... unique. Enchanted. Special in a way we can't figure out, but it's exceptionally powerful. We're self-funded, and poorly at that, since the nobles haven't seen the benefit of golems with no war or real danger in sight."

He's about to leave when you ask him for a good tavern. He looks around and says, "Well, the fun places are here, but you might get some unwanted attention, since you're... well, anyway. The calmer pubs are in the Alabaster District, and you probably won't have to worry about ruffians there, but, it's your choice, of course."

Saskia lets out a little sigh of relief when the sailor stops, but remains intent on listening. Nodding at the information about the paladins, finding it interesting that they are rather autonomous. "I see, thats interesting Zek.. Does all of Iomentis worship this goddess? Is she... benevolent?" Saskia looks around to the other two sailors to and gauge their reactions.

If there was nothing more to be had Saskia asks about the religious district of the city, hoping to pay a visit to that part of the city and gather more information about the paladins, hopefully there would still be remnants of the order around.

Alright so finding the castle isn't quite as simple as Ezra had first thought it would be.... Thankfully just as she's contemplating giving up and heading to a tavern, she spots one of her Elven allies... Lenna or something like that? She seems to know where she's going much better than Ezra does, so Ezra jogs a bit to catch up to her.

She follows Lenna into the Alabaster District and, lo and behold, there's the castle she's looking for. Guards stop Lenna at the gate and Ezra can hear the disdain in their voices as they question her. They weren't kind to Elves here it seemed... Figuring that a human, and maybe a bit of muscle, might help get them in, Ezra decides to step in. "We're part of the Royal Vaalniyan Envoy, here to see your king. I believe there's an... Eliandra already inside expecting us." She says, crossing her arms as she steps up to the guard.

Rilienne took mental notes as the wizard spoke, nodding along. So... They specialised in the creation of golems... Probably not something she'd be able to manage too well. After all, she was only a dabbler. Her main trade was that of song and entertainment, regaling those who would listen with whimsical tales and ancient history. "Alright. Good to know. Thanks, Mister Gigas. You've been a real help!" With that, she would hop up, and take a quick look around.

... Well, what was a little time in one of the taverns? Picking out one of the busier buildings, the Halfling bustled inside, instrument dismissed to the ether from which it came. She never did learn how it worked. Just that it did. And she was fine with that.

Bell stayed close to her new friend Ezra as they searched through the city's streets. She was pleased to run back into another member of the envoy on their way to the castle. Her hounds seemed to be enjoying the city, evident by the constant tugging and yelling Bell had to do to stop them from harassing the city folk. She follows the two other members of the envoy as they search out the castle, only to be stopped by a few heavily armored men with big sticks.

"We're part of the Vaalniya Envoy." She chirps excitedly from behind her female companions. "We're here to see Eliandra." she continued in her squeaky voice.

Lenna opened her mouth to retort, rather annoyed by the manner in which the guard talked to her. It seemed Elves were treated with a degree of hostility in this city, at least by these guards. However before she had a chance, she was interrupted by someone else. Looking to the side she recognized that two of the other people from the envoy had followed her. She felt a little annoyed that she was not able to speak for herself in this situation, believing she could handle these guards easily, however she was still grateful that there were at least some people kind enough to look out for her.

Smirking, she turned back to the guards. "Exactly. We're here on a matter of the highest importance. I think you'll find you'll get in a lot more trouble with your higher-ups if you keep us out rather than if you let us in."

Eliandra groans as the sound of birds awaking her to the morning the faint memory she was meant to be doing something other than fucking this boy king and... "Ah... more are arriving." She comments to herself before rising from the bed. Draping herself in the bed sheet she walks out onto the balcony and watches the king practice against a dummy with a smirk. Watching him fight the inanimate object with a shake of her head. It's a good way to practice form but not battle sense, you can train against the lifeless to make sure you are swinging and holding the blade correct with each strike but it never teaches defenses or what to do when your foe does something other than allow you to make all those fancy cuts.

Giggling she decides to make her presence known. "I know I keep offering but if you need an actual practice partner I wouldn't object." She comments with a smile, concealing her body with the thin sheet. "Ah... More members of an elven convoy are to enter the city today. Thought I'd let you know." She comments with a smile and glances around. "Hm... " She whistles sharply summoning her dog and smiles kneeling down to pet him and rub his belly. "Good mutt." She grins and taps her head to his. "Is there anything planned today?"

Saskia
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Sense Motive - 11)

Zek's glance looks past you as he speaks, watching the ocean and the rising tides.

"Aye. Iometolis only worships Iomedae. She's a goddess of justice, valor, and what have you... All the things paladins love."

The other two sailors seem a bit indifferent. You notice one of them reveal a bottle of grog and he swigs it generously, swallowing a 1/4th of the gallon jug within a few minutes. It seems this must be the truth, and you don't believe you have any reason to doubt anything told thus far. You believe they're being straight with you.

Zek says, "Funny thing about gods and goddesses, they like to let their followers settle things on their own, for the most part. Always leads to trouble."

Ezra, Bell, Lenna
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The three of you explain the situation in so many words to the guard, to which he eventually says, "We're already hosting one of your members in the castle. As I'm sure the King would be displeased if I treated you poorly, please come to the foyer while I inform him and your fellow envoy member of your arrival... Open the gate!"

The last phrase he shouts and the porticullis is slowly pulled upward, allowing your group passage through the outer walls of the castle. The guard leads you pass several stone structures to the next gate. This one gets you by the inner walls and into the castle itself. The first room you enter is in fact the foyer.

You see several couches and chairs, as well as a small chess table and a currently unlit fireplace. Everything here is finely crafted of oak with velvet cloth and gems embedded in the arm rests. There was already food and drink on the main table in the center of the room. A wine bottle, some cheese, and bread. However, the only people in the room are yourselves and more guards at every entrance in and out of the foyer. The castle feels very large... and somewhat more empty than you expected.

The guard who led you in says, "Please wait here."

Rilienne
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Vander Gigas nods and says, "Goddess give you grace."

His eyes linger on you a little bit as you depart, but soon enough, he's walking the opposite way out of the docks and farther North into the city. You decide to head for one of the busier taverns and you can see one from your playing spot. As it's sunset now, you see lanterns and torches set up along the dock, giving it a more welcoming appearance than all the dirt and grime during the day. You approach it and you see a large sign indicating the establishment's name, "The Bustling Crab."

You see a lot of people eating just that - crab. It must be the tavern's specialty of some kind. You hear music starting up as you arrive. The tavern itself is quite big compared to what you're used to. It could fit more than 100 people alone. At the far end, you see a stage and a half-dozen Humans tuning and preparing instruments.

A lot of the people going in and out don't acknowledge you, most possibly assuming at first glance that you were a well-dressed child. The bartender, however does notice the difference.

"Hey, Halfling. You buying or you trying to get a free show?"

You look over, and up, and you see a grizzled man in his fifties leaning over the counter. His beard is monstrous brown with streaks of grey and his hair might be equally so if he wasn't balding.

Eliandra (EDITED)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

King Edric continues swatting. He alternates grips after a routine number of swings. More than anything, it seems like this was a workout for him, a way to keep the right muscles from laxing and getting weak. He glances at you when you step out and begin speaking, but he's determined to finish whatever his repetitions are before responding.

A minute or so after you're done talking, he sets the sword down on the nearby rack and grabs a towel nearby. He wipes the sweat from his face and chest before finally meeting your gaze again.

"I have a few things to take care of later... It's probably best if you meet with your fellow Envoy members without me first."

He walks up the half-dozen steps connecting his balcony to the garden below and closes the distance between you two. Edric's green eyes roam over your practically naked form and you see a growing bulge underneath his loincloth.

"I assume that's ah... acceptable, my lady."

Interrupting the conversation is a loud knock on the King's chamber door.

"Those are noble aspirations though for a single goddess. Even if her follows may misconstrue her teachings from time to time. Thank you for the talk Zek, you've been a great help. If you need anything i owe you." Saskia begins to stand up and move away from the table. She gives them all a nod and gives the sailor who rubbed her leg a small smile. If nothing happens Saskia tries to head to the castle and meat up with the other Envoy members, though the city itself was rather interesting, maybe it'd be fun to just keep exploring the city the large bridge in particular reminded her of the tower she once lived in.

"Im...sure the envoy can wait." She says to herself as she sets off to explore the corners of the city.

Interesting place! Seemed more high class than she'd suspected. Of course, it was a marvel that nobody commented on her race. That was, until the barkeep noticed her. The pointed ears, really, should've given it away. Halflings did indeed have pointed ears, after all, though hers weren't particularly prominent. "Well, I was going to offer a show. I'm a bard by trade, see, but it sounds like you've already got entertainment covered." A sad thing indeed. But, then again, she'd already gotten some payment today. Any more would be greedy! "What's the word on the street, lately?"

The Halfling asked this as she clambered up and onto the stool before her. She looked out of place, with her stature, though the sight of her cleavage showed she was at least a bit mature... Then again, would anyone be checking the curvy Halfling out? Probably not.

Bell casually scurries over to the banquet table and plucks a large wedge of cheese and few pieces of bread. She picks a comfortable spot against the wall and quickly slumps down onto the floor. She breaks the cheese and two and passing a piece to each of her hounds and begins nibbling on the bread.
"So uhh... Where you gals from?" Questioned Bell while munching on the bread. The castle's ornaments were the grandest she had ever seen. She was caught up with all the shiny jewels and lavish velvet. Though she really had no desire of having them herself, they sure were cool to look at.

Lenna walked around, inspecting all the details of her rather fanciful surroundings. Oak, velvet cloth and gems in everything. One chair alone would have enough funds behind it to manage the monastery's repairs for decades. Hearing the halfling she was with speak she turned around to talk. "Oh, you wouldn't know it... an old monastery, quite isolated from the rest of the world." she said, still not settling down in any chairs. "What about you?"

Smirking she watches his sweat covered form, looking upon him with obvious attraction as she bites her lip. Watching his approach Eliandra pulls the sheets over herself to give her body a little bit more concealing. "Very well, try not to have too much fun without me." She comments with a smile before hearing the knock. Huffing a little as she moves back in his bed chamber, slowly The northern woman drops the sheet to reveal her naked flesh turned away from him as she begins with getting dressed, expecting him to answer the door or allow them entry with word.

Saskia
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The sailors tip their caps at you as you take your leave of them. You still feel a little flushed from the sudden attention given to you by the other sailor. who returns your polite smile.

Exploring the city, you could end up practically anywhere. There were many districts, ranging from rich to poor. Some of the buildings look incredibly ancient and others look incredibly new. As far as Human beings go, the city had a large variety of scenery. You express interest in the bridge, but you also see a lot of bustling taverns.

(D100 = 1-50 visit the bridge, 51-100 visit a random district)
(Roll result - 28)

Your curiosity of the bridge overcomes your curiosity to see other parts of the city. You head north away from the Docks and quickly find the crowds dissipating. No traffic really seems to head toward the bridge, oddly. After passing through a gate, you find yourself in the shadow of the bridge itself. The structure is immense, and looks half finished. Whoever was building it, it certainly wasn't likely to be Humans, and what's even stranger is how it stretches out toward the ocean, as if someone was attempting to build a crossing for thousands of miles.

This part of town, Underbridge, seems to be in a constant shadow, at least at this time of day. The buildings and businesses here are all patchy and in dire need of repair. You few people you do see look suspiciously like gangs eyeing you up and down with a look of lust.

(Encounter Roll - 3)

Just as you're looking for a way to actually get up to the bridge, you hear growling. You turn slowly and see a large wolf, nearly as big as a horse, with black fur and scarlet red eyes. It's in an alleyway, but it stops dead in its tracks, looking you up and down with a strange gaze, not entirely of fear.

Just as this happens, you see four Humans, dressed in ragged leathers, approaching. They all seem to be young, between 18 and 22, and they stop dead in their tracks as well upon noticing the worg.

One of them says, "Lady, that's a big fucking wolf. I don't know what it's going to do to you, but I suggest you come this way.. toward us."

A few of the others chuckle. It was little mystery what 'help' they might try to offer after getting away from the worg, but it seems you would have to either take your chances with them or the magical wolf, who hasn't yet made a threatening move, but seems very on guard.

Rilienne
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The bartender scoffs and says, "Musicians aren't too rare around here, hate to tell ya."

When you ask about what's been happening lately, the bartender says, "No drink? Bah, I should start chargin' at the door on nights like these."

He wipes down the counter around you as continues and stacks glasses on the shelves behind him for ease of use. A dozen more people shuffle in behind you, eager to grab tables and quickly ordering food and drink alike. Three sailors take stools next to you on the bar and you certainly receive more than a few glances at your impressive bust.

"Things have been stirring up... Talk about Elves visiting, some kinda envoy. Bringing news of Orc armies and what not. Not really our problem... but also had a lot of local disturbances lately. Might be because of that envoy. Who knows. Orcs have been spotted in the frontier farms. Then, don't even get me started on the monsters showing up on the coast. That's a snake nest of hearsay and who knows if it's true."

Eliandra
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Edric opens the chamber door as you get dressed. From the angle you're dressing, you're not visible to whomever may be standing there, so the King likely assumed you wouldn't mind. The King makes no effort to change and answers in a mere white loincloth wrapped lightly around his unique packages.

You hear the voice and identify it as sounding female.

"M-my King... you're not dressed!"

Edric ignores her, "What is it?"

"E-Elven Envoy.. umm, my grace, they are here to see you."

The nervousness of this female guard, or servant, was noticeable without seeing her.

"Tell them Eliandra will see them shortly. Is there anything else?"

"N-No, my king! I shall not disturb you further. Please, let me know if there is anything you need."

Edric nods and closes the chamber door. He walks past you into the bathing room and says, "I'm sure you heard all that... I suppose it's time then."

Ezra paid little attention to the extravagant decorations of the foyer, the food and wine catching her eye over some stuffy noble showing off his riches. Seeing as neither of her companions opted for the wine, she grabbed it and took a drink straight out of the bottle. "I was born up north. Haven't been there in years though. I've just been wandering for the most part." She replies to Bell's question as she paces the room restlessly while taking the occasional drink from her wine bottle. Ezra turns her attention to Lenna briefly as she mentions being from a monastery. "Oh yeah? You some kinda monk?" She inquires, noting that the Elf doesn't appear to be visibly armed much like Ezra herself.

"Well, on good authority, anythin' about the Orcs is pretty much true. As for the envoy... Believe they only just arrived. Also on good authority." The Halfling offered the barkeeper a wink. She wasn't being entirely direct about her place in the envoy, but... Well, he'd probably be able to catch on if he was sharp enough. While talking, she made sure to keep her ears open, listening to the idle chit-chat around her. Maybe she'd pick up even more information, who knows. A bard thrived on gathering knowledge and rumours, so why wouldn't she?

The stares, of course, distracted her some. Adjusting her top, she'd bounce her breasts a bit, giving the men (and potentially women) who glanced towards her a bit of a show. Sure, they were only B cups, but they looked pretty damn big on her. After a moment's pause, she slid a silver piece to the barkeep. "And on the subject of drinks, going back a bit... Something light, for now. I have places to be, unfortunately. Can't spend all my time here this evening, much as I'd love to."

Taking her time to wander the city she aimlessly ends up at the underbridge, the darkness and size of the bridge felt otherwordly as she stared up in awe, though she does find herself in front of a massive worg. "Whoa..there big guy.." Saskia gulps, the monster was certainly frightening, but it wasnt doing anything to her immediately, then all of a sudden 4 more men show up and offer her help.
"Oh.." Saskia acknowledges the men, before stepping away from the beast slowly and towards the men. The human's seemed more friendly, at least they just didnt ignore her like some of the other humans in the city. Looking back at the worg one more time, she gives it a curt nod, maybe she was just invading it's territory and it was best she left it alone, for now anyway.

"I suppose you could say that." Lenna said in response to Ezra's question. "Although I'm far less... conservative than the others." she added with a sigh, sitting down on the chair she was examining. She rubbed at her forehead gently, frowning, before holding out a her hand towards Ezra. "Could you pass me the wine?" she asked.
